I was helping a neighbour retrieve their newly rescued cat 🐈 the other day. Apparently he likes going up the stormwater drains in the road, and I burst out laughing when they called his name out. Oliver, 😁, I had to do some explaining, and now you have some more subscribers👍👌🏻
I remember when his gloves were nothing more than a wrist band at some point. And he STILL chose not to put new ones on. Then again, there was that one acid drain, where I wished he'd wear a face shield, because, you know, metal-dissolving acid vs chains rotating at high speeds.
Ollie it's amazing how you can figure out a problem with drains and boundary channels in homes and apartments. You may be just one of a kind plumbers in your field.
Gully problems, dangly bits, bonus toilet paper flush plus. This is amazing coverage. Ollie. You've out done yourself this time mate. A bit of a rest is in order. Love you man. ➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕➕ Keep em comin brother!!!!!! The dangly bits are the best !!!!
"To install this toilet in the bathroom, it will cost you an extra $3,000 to run a separate line!". "Can you plumb it into the gulley? I wont tell, if you don't tell!" 🤣🤣
What exactly is a gulley? We don't have those here, all the sewer lines run into the same main pipe regardless if it's a sink, shower, tub, or toilet. Each connection has it's own trap and vent right at the point where it connects to the main line.
@@gorak9000 its a trap that is supposed to overflow if the line blocks up rather than sewage going inside of the house. You're allowed to plumb sinks into it and if you do, you do not require a vent for that sink. The main line typically has a vent at the boundary trap and other end of the line. (Australian things)
Dandelions are great! They're mostly edible, and nutritious, natural, and provide for our bees., and for bunnies and other creatures that eat grasses They're not "weeds", they're a natural grass. What have all those "perfect" green lawns done for our world, but waste water and leech pesticides into the ground? Natural lawns are far better, for the bees, for the critters, for us, and for the world. Ollie, you blow all the seeds and spread all the dandelions you want! 😊😂
Tidied up nicely, Ollie! I was thinking it was great that they had thought ahead to put in an access point right next to the toilet! Then, the thinking stopped.
Whoever installed the plumbing originally, just tied in the wrong pipe,so does that mean the will more than likely have same problem in future.if not fixed.great little video.continue doing what you do best.👍👍👍😎😎😎
At first I thought it was simply a "blocked drain/toilet." Turns out you had a plumbers puzzle and maze on your hands. 😀 Well done Ollie-and a 👍👍👍 as always. God bless.
I truly appreciate that you don’t assume the problem is fixed with the removal of the one clog and roots. You always check the entire line and make sure it’s functioning before you say it’s done. Unfortunately a lot of drain mechanics don’t do that. And the builder who plumbed the toilet to the gully should have to pay for the cost of replumbing the toilet correctly. And where was the building inspector?
In the states we call shower and basin drains “grey water”. Those pipes tend to have their own trap though at each fixture… including the toilet. Great video as always.
Great gullies Ollie! That was interesting they put the gully where they shouldn’t. From what I have seen on your channel though, some builders have no sense.
Kept looking and looking and lo and behold I believe it is BABY RATTY I keep seeing!?!? Do hope Ratty is okay, but how wonderful to see Baby Ratty back at work! PS. You know I love the slow releases....hahahaha😂
And do you know what, his work is more needed than the "work" all the bureaucrats "do" every day. The world needs MEN who know what they are doing and know how to solve problems, and if there isn't a standard solution that works, they will improvise, and use their years of EXPERIENCE to find a working solution. Wouldn't it be nice if the western world had such people in charge of their countries?
Alright Ollie, where is Ratty hiding out at? I hope he doesn't think he can just take the day off and have baby rat do all the work. I think it's past time to get the drain gang back together and get them back to work.
You know Ollie, they have found out the the Roman thumbs up actually meant to put the person to death, and the thumbs down meant to give mercy. So basically you just slayed that blockage.
Ollie and Ratty by a Block Drain. Camera Picture from Garden Drain, Roots, and a Block with Paper. Presswater and great Nozzle. Slow begin to run down the Paper Block. And the Roots have not Fun. Work from Bathroom, Drain free. The next Gully in Garden, clear with the Nozzle. Then the Paper Test, oh Good. However a Perfect Work. 💪👍👌
Just finished watching video nr. 583 With Ratty, Magpie and Croc. Loved to see them all present and being “active” in video’s. Pitty you stoped that. Nevertheless like your video’s! Love and greetings from the Netherlands ❤️
Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Hebrews 10:24 👍All good Ollie. Believe it or not. Lots of the little tricks you use in your job I have been able to adapt them to sewing project I've been working on. (Except I don't have a Ratty to help, lol 😂) Thank for sharing your knowledge. Have a great day 👍
That's what I love about Australian slang. I've never heard "chockers", but I know what "chock full of" or "chock-o-blocked" means. If it wasn't for distance, we would be "The United States of Ameraustralia".
The plumber cutting corners with the toilet line, or a diy'er who didn't know better. I'm sure the rerouting of the toilet line is not going to be cheap. Plumbers are expensive! lol
Plumbing codes in the US won't allow storm and sewage lines to mix. Storm water can be directly discharged to the environment and waste water must be treated, so mixing the two can either overwhelm the waste treatment facilities or pollute the environment. We see heavy rainfalls result in untreated waste water being released into the same water sources that we pull our drinking water, resulting in boil alerts. The Chicago River used to flow into Lake Michigan and was used as a waste removal system, that resulted in frequent outbreaks of disease. They reversed the flow, eventually stopped dumping waste into the river, and these outbreaks stopped.

lol👍
Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect situation!
Too funny 😂. I wonder if Oliver the cat watches Ollie’s channel on RUclips hmmm lol 😂
We're about 8 mins in and Ollie says "this seem to be an easy one".
At the same time the gloves are already ruined...love it 😂😂.
Your commitment to wearing your gloves to the end of the job is admirable
He ends up with new rubber wristbands at the end of each day.
I've seen them only hanged by the wrist part basically and he still doesn't take them off lol, makes me so anxious. take it oooofffff
OH&S, he must be wearing gloves! it doesn't say what condition they need to always be in though
I remember when his gloves were nothing more than a wrist band at some point. And he STILL chose not to put new ones on.
Then again, there was that one acid drain, where I wished he'd wear a face shield, because, you know, metal-dissolving acid vs chains rotating at high speeds.
DA should call this job the “By Golly, Gulley.” Best channel on RUclips! Cheers from South Florida.
👍👍
Ollie it's amazing how you can figure out a problem with drains and boundary channels in homes and apartments. You may be just one of a kind plumbers in your field.
Now that explains why the first clog looked so suspect, never an easy one but always entertaining 😉👍
👍👍
There is a phrase I heard recently..."There's doing it, and there's doing it RIGHT" ...Ollie always does it right!
Great detective work on the drain cleaning AU Ollie well done 👍❤❤. Take care of yourself and family and friends and be Blessed ❤️❤️.
Great day. Sun is shining, coffee is warm, and Ollie is clearing another drain down under.
