Him and Kaden are going to be fun to watch. Troy made progress throughout the year and Kaden blew up this past season. They fly to the ball and can blitz very well. Very sneaky LB duo in the making.
So glad I got to watch his final year as a Bobcat in person! Whole school knew that he was gonna go somewhere in the second round, glad he got to show some of his stuff on the field.
Griz fan here, but he's the best football player to come out of our state, and I don't think it's even close. He's an awesome kid to boot. He's the only reason I watch the NFL nowadays. Just wished he was a Grizzly. LOL
He only started playing LB full-time as a Jr in college, and in the FCS, so his development may look different than most. He’s already shown flashes. Once the game slows down and he adapts to his position the sky is the limit
I’ve been watching a lot of hard knocks and I always wondering how is he preparing for these games because he doesn’t act like a rookie at all. Besides the last game.
Not a bad rookie year for not being the starter all season. I see some flashes of greatness in there. He's a beast that can lay down the law or take the ball. He seemed to get better as the season went on, can't wait for next year.
Off-season time so I decided to watch some Troy and he definitely flashed last year at points he has just got to figure everything out as far as an LB. Still has a ways to go but the flashes are very promising, excited to see year 2 with him in a bigger role alongside Kaden Ellis too.
Appreciate the respect man! It’s kind of funny because I wanted the Falcons to get him, but I had a feeling that the patriots, the Browns or the Cardinals would try to get him in the 3rd to 5th round fish.
1:02 this right here is why we drafted this guy, he’s a freak athlete. Gets off his block, immediately cuts off Herbert and blocks the pass. Its crazy how fast he is
Funny thing is, if the Falcons run into a QB deal like San Francisco did last year he can play that too. Was the all conference QB his sophomore year. All conference RB his freshman year. The kid can play ball.
@Falcons Empire I went to high-school with the kid. I was a senior when he was a freshman. The dude is a freak of nature in every aspect of life. Also one of the genuinely nice people that I have been around. I'm glad he got his shot and can represent Dillon MT with pride.
I am a Bears fan. Therefore I am a linebacker fan. Lol. This kid has got the size the athleticism and that elite speed. Yes he’s raw because he barely started playing the position. I would say by his third year in the pros he’s gonna have it all put together, and he will start stacking all pros.. He has that much potential….. my only criticism, and let’s just say surprise is how poor he is in coverage. Coming from playing the quarterback position, I would have expected him to be much more instinctual in coverage. I have no doubt he will learn it in time, but I thought he would be better at that out of the gate.
I agree I can tell his transition to linebacker still needs to be improved on his foot technique, Reading the quarterbacks body motion & The speed of the game. But not a bad start!
@@Slim248-v5x hell yeah, Richie does cause turnovers and delivers big hits. Hawkins isn't a game changer back there. If anything he's a decent backup but he's no 🌟. He's had long enough to prove hes not worthy in my eyes

His speed and size is apparent on film. Wish he packed a heavier punch with that combination but I know he's a project and still developing. Tayson Hill push his wig back a bit @2:18
He’s been dating my grand daughter for several years. From what I know so far, he’s such an easy going person and such a great athlete, he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. With h8s size and speed you are definitely correct as to whether he could bring more to the table.
There’s no question that he has a quarterback sacks prowess. I like his covering range they’re solid but my main concern with his young Thundercat is his ability to tackle One on one collision properly hopefully we can coach them on that. I wouldn’t mind picking him up though!
Hopefully this yr he learns how to use that hit stick.. where they go backwards instead of following forward.. hit that weight room he'll be good not bad for his first yr
If everything is going to plan I think he can develop into an all pro linebacker in a couple of years if he does get injured or too many coaching changes😅.
