About balanicng the game for less than 4 players, i was experementing with this homerule - you dont move faction tracker when activation card is drawn, instead move it when you shuffle activation deck. Just to slow game down, and have more fun with quests.
Another ways to slow game further :
1. Move faction tracker back for each goal completed.
2. Dont move tracker if more than 3 enemies on board. (activation rule)
Would love to see other scenarious. Some rules gave me a headache trying to understand them. Mostly its the Atomic Bonds interfiring with the base game. Especially when you playing as bad guys. Just try to play this exact scenario on the Unity side. (card 170 im looking at you)
A very good learning curve for us both. Your should do a another trip around the waste land. Thank you.
Thank you! More to come, hopefully!
Unlucky ending. The game is a big improvement with Atomic Bonds. Hope to see more Fallout soon!
A strategy error on my part, i should have leveled up the characters more instead of advancing the story... still we live and learn!
Too bad that it ended in such a state! But it sounds like you really enjoyed the add-on of Atomic Bonds overall. Regarding scaling players, I've seen a suggestion to only move enemies that are either within 0-1, or 0-2 tiles of the character that is activating. This sounds like a really interesting change to me for any game under 4 players likely. It removes the conga-line issue and also removes the feeling of not being able to experience the storyline before the board is swarming you in all places. I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on this and if you're planning to run another Atomic Bonds series?
Thanks Eric, thats a great idea, if the lockdowns go on for much longer i may end up doing it.
I wanted to do a full review of the expansion, but i need to experience the game with other people first.
I was toying with the idea of doing a different game for the next playthrough. Something like Warhammer Quest silver tower as its versus the board. It'd also be easy to set up and take down between recording sessions as the complexity of fallout made continuity difficult at times if we experienced a problem.
@@seanmcnallyactor Sounds good, and enjoy! Silver Tower is a very nice and enjoyable light version of the original WHQ, perhaps a bit on the easy side, but still great components and story.
