It's a joy to watch Mr. Smitheman put these drawings together in real time. I got to remember to look at the schedule or check the channel so I can catch some these streams. Keep missing out because of the different time zones but I can manage on the weekend. That is something I have to try out. typically I'm the opposite and take longer sessions, sometimes going beyond that 1 hour mark. Don't know why, it may be just the way that I am but I would like to give this ten minute and so sessions a try. It'll definitely be a change of pace so my work flow will have to be altered but I think as long as I can get the gestures right, I'll be able to put enough ideas on paper during that time span. It will be a challenge but also fun. I tend to use the rougher newsprint type mainly because that was all they had at the local shop, I'm going to have to search for smooth newsprint somewhere. I get the idea of fast paper because on the rougher newsprint, it requires a little more room to maneuver with lines. They just don't come off as smooth, so I have to pay more attention to the stroke and the amount of pressure. I can't use the same "finesse" if that makes sense. On the other hand, producing shading effects are also different on the rougher surface. Since it's spreads more, getting the shadows is a bit different. Don't know how to describe it but, yeah, I think I get the concept of fast paper. 👍
