Mire fear than anger. They've very specifically said NATO/Western expansion was concerning them.

@@feedyourmind6713 Russia lies. A nuclear power is not scared of a defensive alliance. And *if* you were, you would not provoke them by attacking your neighbour.
This war has proved Russia is not scared of NATO (but NATO is terrified of Russia to the point of being paralyzed) - it does not like NATO because it's dreams of expansion are made much more difficult when land they have set their sights on joins the alliance.

@@alexmiyamoto4832 That you feel NATO is merely a defensive alliance...they call themselves a "crisis management organization", which means the can, and have, operated in offensive actions. Libya, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Afghanistan, Turkey... all actions in which no NATO members were attacked. Yet NATO acted. You feel Russia has "set their sights on" Finland and Sweden.. show me what Vlad has said or done prior to their joining that proves that charge.

Very intelligent people and good analysis. Russia really is a threat to its neighbouring countries, let alone because the regime is very corrupt and half of the world's neo-nazis reside within that regime. I came to this video from a documentation called "The Soviet Story".

And we see this emotionality of conflict rearing its ugly head in the China's recent chestbeating over American ships being allowed to dock in Taiwan, or calling Australia 'racist'...as Dr Hanson says: people and nations do stupid things, and dictatorships are more likely to be stupid than democracies. China is a kinda of representative dictatorship, so at least in that there is some hope of sanity breaking through at some point.

I must say I agree with his stance. The Russian leadership could do much better for their country if they are cooperative with the West. Unfortunately the country is run by a former-KGB-officer who still has imperial aspirations that the country cannot sustain in the long run. Although with our stupid Georgian enterprise we just strengthened this notion that there is still a competition between Russia and the West, while both sides have no rational reason to follow such a competition.

@aeronuk1 There are *black* Jews. That doesn't strike you as the least bit profound? A Jew is anyone who cries out to Yahweh and takes part in the covenant. I could become a Jew, if I were so inclined. Any individual can be grafted into the family of God. The Khazars were just smart enough to do it en masse. They have equal claim to "Palestine" as any other Jew.

Who said that the "new world order" was a good thing? And if you believe in democracy, you should not dislike putin. Not saying he was necessarily elected (since I dont believe true/fair elections are held anywhere in the world) but compared to many world leaders we celebrate, the russian people that I met in Russia and abroad actually like Putin and are happy that he came to power.
