You know I’m torn. I love collecting, it’s a passion I feel so deeply about, but I have an issue with everyone’s take on don’t buy don’t buy don’t buy. To me regardless of take, it’s no different than someone going to foot locker and buying a pair of Jordan’s for $200 or $250. The same type of videos were made when evolving skies exploded. Look I’m not justifying the scalpers by any stretch but to tell people how to spend there money is crazy. Here’s what typically happens and not you personally bro just in general …a video comes out, don’t buy at this price. 3 months later, oh I’m really considering investing in this set….next video…I really love a specific card in the set that causes them to invest, mean while for 5 months they spent it telling people not to buy. Humbly I say, let the people buy what they want and deal with whatever consequences that may be good bad or indifferent
You make a very valid point that is well explained and honestly that’s the case a lot of the time but people are unfortunately left to their own devices so you’re right! Let the people buy it if they want to spend double on an etb with nothing in it be my guest! I don’t think this is a bad take at all my guy. People told me not to buy chilling reign when I really wanted to go heavy into it for that blaziken and look at it now. Same thing. They also told me I was stupid for paying 1k for a case of skies. My only case because I cared too much what they thought of me at the time. To be fair though no one has a crystal ball everything is clearer in hindsight. Sometimes you just have to take a risk. Main thing is, don’t take the risk if you don’t truly enjoy the set. For me I’m saying not to buy because I genuinely don’t enjoy the set that much. But they all grow on me eventually. I’m more a vintage fan than anything so modern in general has taken some time for me to really start enjoying more. I see endless potential in grading modern singles though. Something I can’t do with vintage. Anyways ranting.. I enjoy reading the longer comments despite what people might think it gives me a better idea of my Viewer base. 😎💯

Think about it right now it will cost you $300 for 1 ETB, over $1,000 for a booster box and good luck pulling anything!! But yet I don’t see the same takes for that! Why? Again I get it the set just came out, and evolving had been out a while now, but people need to keep the same energy when it applies. Hopefully that made sense
awesome video i just jump into the hobby and i cant find 151.... in my opinion and based what i like from young age 151 it gives you the feeling of modern set with all this new illustrations and same time give you this feeling of nostalgia i love 151 100% 💥🤛🏻

You're right. People act as if the first pre-order wave is the only print run. I will walk into a local store Friday morning and grab a box or two of Prismatic. If I don't make it I will do the same in a few weeks. I am guilty of freaking out a little because I was frustrated at the speed of the last few sets being sold out, I didn't know how it all worked. I am learning that it is either the early bird gets the worm or being a little patient for the win. Anyone in between is feeding into the hyper short sight game and that's OK for some, but too much pressure for this relaxed guy.

You should definitely find at least 1-2 if you’re even remotely aware of the stores around you or GameStop or hobby stores card shops I have a list of 3 places I know will get it here. I have no preorders for prismatic, and passed up on walmart $80+ offers. Im going front lines and feel confident ill find some. Everyone said this about surging sparks and yet i see it on shelves almost every week…not worried
All depends on where you live, but if the $150 an ETB sticks you won’t find squat. That’s way too much money to be made for it to not instantly sell out everywhere, people just need to stop buying from resellers.
Yea youl get it eventually forsure but hopefully right from the jump , it is an Awsome set but I hate how people are ruining the market for it - even 151 there was so much hype but the preorder prices were Awsome ; I got two sealed cases of ETBs - one for 400 & the other for 440 shipped

My pre-orders for Prismatic have all started dispatching. One of those times where the UK market lagging behind the US worked in my favour. We had a bit longer to get product thankfully. It's all gone now though so good luck to anyone searching on release day! 🤞 The US market looks absolutely crazy right now. 😬
Yep let them sell their soul for a few bucks no worries there’s so much opportunity in this hobby people could boycott the set so easily if we wanted haha I know that’s extreme but that’s what it might take sometimes 😂

I preordered Journey Together a few months back. Got lucky and caught the listing on safari. Booster boxes for $100 each 😅 I am excited for it though. Can’t wait to see some more leaks in the coming weeks!

My stores don't even have any pokemon left in shelves. I think stores will get raded quick. You were lucky to get surging sparks the other day. Like if you went the next day I doubt you would find surging at any of those stores. So if one doesn't "catch" a restock then it seems like they will be our of luck if this continues.
I know it’s a worse situation in other places so I do want to be clear I sympathize for all the homies who can’t find it by simply going to the store. I’m lucky I don’t work during the day because it definitely gives me an advantage at finding the best deals products and collections during the day. But I truly think the hobby will sizzle back down or implode soon. Either way I’m gonna keep it moving. I’m fortunate charlotte has a decent hobby base here. Truly. We do have collect a con too. But have faith and go check out a more rural wal mart you might be shocked what you can find. The guy who sold me my latias ex on eBay pulled it twice already!!! Man that point where buying the singles of the set you like is key. I would have been done with my 151 set if I just pulled the trigger paying more upfront then slowly spending even more just buying bundles and etb’s when I could find them to possibly get what I need.
So I think if you like a set enough and the pull rates are decent it does make sense to just go after it. Either way if you’re building a binder you need all the bulk anyways. I don’t think you should beat yourself up about it. One thing most people do is open a few products of their favorite set and then switch gears to singles. The key is to stick around for the future deals you haven’t gotten yet. 😎

The metal detecting tool has been around on RUclips for over 3 years. More pointless than CT scanning for anyone doing volume. Did you ever finish pulling the master set of 151?
I still haven’t finished pulling every single card but technically could have multiple 151 master sets just never pulled Nidoking or hyper mew and I promised I would and I’m standing by that just need to find more product 😂😎
It's pretty ironic that content creators who themselves contribute to hype massively and also typically preorder as much stuff as they can make these types of videos where they lament the severity of the market situation. The cognitive dissonance it takes to sell yourself like you're not directly contributing to this problem.

I’ve been pushing vintage when everyone was on modern so you’re just taking shots my G and you’re aiming at the wrong dude. Many would agree with this too because I hardly ever pump modern sets. I hate hyping modern I appreciate modern but not at these inflated prices. It’s ok no feelings hurt. But direct that comment to a channel that actually is pumping modern. I even have friends who instantly sell what they preorder but again, never been me. I love this hobby and have loved it since I got back in, 2019. Anyone who’s been an OG on my channel knows this. The reason my channel isn’t huge is because I don’t hype stuff like everyone else, and I don’t give away stuff for subs and views. Everyone’s here because they enjoy the content. I don’t think it will ever be a huge concern for modern, like most evolving skies boxes don’t have an umbreon inside. I’d still want the sealed box regardless

nobody is CT scanning SV products LOOL, CT scanning is not free and with the pull rates the way they are, this is not feasible.
Sure it sounds stupid now but in a short few years things can change fast. That being said right now it’s not a concern.
