Can you try this Lucario set on a team with grassy terrain? Grassy terrain halves the damage Lucario takes from moves like earthquake, and lets Lucario hit ground types pretty hard with grass type terrain pulse in return. Close combat is so it hopefully isn't walled as much by special walls. Its also just better than aura sphere in my opinion. I started with HO and ended up with balance I guess, because I see the same pattern Le rocks pokemon 2 special attackers (maybe 1 choiced) 2 physical attackers (maybe 1 choiced) 5-6 Tanky boi(s)
try using regigigas with mega kick and blunder policy and have another pokemon set up screens to help it. this helps counter his slowstart ability and gives him a speed boost if he misses
