At the zoo, the animals have all gone to play baseball. Animals fill the stands as they watch the antics that can only come about from exotic animals who play baseball.
Did you know this cartoon was produced in Polacolor,a color process developed by Kodak that was borrowed by Famous Studios for most of their cartoons from 1947-1949 including a few Popeye cartoons, one Noveltoons, and most of the early Famous Screen Songs including this one.
4:54 🎵Take me down to the basement Fill the buckets with cheese Tickle your mother with puckerfish Kiss a rhinoceros, then make a wish For it’s noodle soup for the sailors If their boat sinks in the rain Then we won’t, WON’T, pay for this song Cause it’s public domain!🎵
At 3:38, there is an ad for Pepsico tooth powder. They had no idea that 70 years later, that would be the name of the parent company of Pepsi soda pop!
Wow! This cartoon does contained the 1970's NTA logo, but it kept frozen on both the opening and closing titles. There was no animation and the groovy music where it was used for Commonwealth United was absent. I prefer the other 1970's NTA logo a lot more with moving animation and logo zoomed out. This was also used at the end of "Bonanza" and other shows from NBC during the 1970's when NTA acquired the NBC library.
3:39-I just loved the part where the baseball hits through the smiling man’s dentures in a ad for Popsicles tooth powder.

Mr. Conductor: After the race, Thomas and Bertie became even faster friends. Get it. That a joke. Race, faster friends.
They just borrowed the batboy gag from Bugs Bunny’s 1946 cartoon,”Baseball Bugs” at 1:38
Also the gag at 7:34

Maybe Paramount created the cartoon in partnership with NTA.
