I think some very important details about the whole background of the series was told only a couple times, so here we go > Humans apparently did something with fuels that contaminated the whole atmosphere and blackened the sky, blocking UV light. Because they couldn't sustain themselves here, they created the Project Boomerang ( basically spaceship to send SOME humans to orbit until the atmosphere clears itself ). At the same time, and to ensure DNA information and energy was available for humans in Earth, they made the various Proxy, which was said was around 300 Proxy units. Proxys were literally immortal creatures, because of the Amrita cells they were made of. At some point, and after many human clones were made, the Proxys felt the Pulse of the Awakening, making them vulnerable to UV light, so they could die in a fight against OTHER proxys or by light from sources like the Sun. Now, because Proxy One made Vincent, and he wanted to destroy humanity in some point, he provoked the nuclear blasts that destroyed many Domes, namely Mosk, the place from where Vincent was created. Not having a place where to move, Vincent moved to Romdeau, thus starting ALL the chaos that comes from what we see in the series :) After that, everything that comes to sight is somewhat easy to get.
I was also pretty confused when I finished it, so I looked up explanations online. The best one I found is here: cureclover.livejournal.com/759.html It's a long explanation, but it makes everything really clear. There's a part 2 that breaks down some of the more confusing episodes as well.
@@davidbaigorria5847 I was confused at watching this till the very end. I also watched it again. It's weird how some people were able to get what's going on right away. Think just cause of the back in forth. The thing with the proxies and the UV light. I dont rem talking about that. Just that each one is after the other. Some how you was able to get that part
Es el único anime realmente que el ser humano realmente está realmente lejos de los pensamientos del creador, ósea de Dios y cómo este mira lo que hacemos y yace indignado con la humanidad, porque todo el tiempo tienden hacia el mal. 😢
It's really sad that Vatican II had to replace all of the beautiful Latin music from traditional Latin Mass with shitty Protestant hymns and dumb hippie songs written in the 1970s.
That last scene in the first episode really sets the mood of the series. Great song.
well said
That scene got me hooked
I like the scene when pino opened the gigantic door for Vincent to escape.
I wasn't sure about the series until I saw the scene at the end of the first episode. That last scene really gets its hooks in you.
I had the same experience
Blew my mind the first time I saw it. I still rewatch that sequence at night sometimes. It really adds to the mood.
For some reason, this song makes me feel nostalgia.
As it should, it came out in 2000s
It makes you think of one of Death Note's soundtracks
I need this to be on spotify so badly
I always listen to this while taking a bath.
such a beautiful song

Awesome
I want to find that Kyrie Eleison sample
(Missa I) Lux et Origo - Tempore Paschali - Kyrie. You're welcome

@@ViviMyoung correct. But that is what made this show in my opinion the best anime ever made.

To understand better Ergo Proxy you need to know something about René Decartes
Sounds like could've been from Tomb Raider: Legend OST
reminds of Enigma
It reminds me soundtrack from death note!
2 of my favorite anime and soundtracks

Does anyone know where the chant around 02:00 come from?
