i just ordered the same v myself today! $226 out the door, and no tax? always wanted a v, and i love the look of the natural finish. by the way you do that guitar justic the way you play it! the stock pickups sound alright, i am thinking of upgrading the ones in my v when it gets here lol. this will go well with my partscaster, a hand made strat i built about 7 years ago, my tele and a hanson gatto. keep on picking brother and thanks for the good review!
Hey thanks man! Appreciate the kind words! Thats how much I paid for mine, interesting that they dont charge tax. This is my 2nd FF, and IMO they're excellent modding platform! Sounds like you're pretty comfortable working on your guitars so I think you'll have fun with this V.
Thanks man! Still waiting on a couple of parts to finalize my mod, but will be doing a comparison video at some point between this Firefly and the Epi Korina! Love 'em both!
Hey have you ever tried, Monoprice guitars? If so, do you think the pickups and electronics are "better" than the firefly ones? Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you.
Thanks man! Yeah this V is FUN!!! Cant put her down! So insane to think that you can have a great V and p90 Les Paul for less than the price of an Epiphone 😂
@@Tonedefy thanks buddy, have been really enjoying it!! Was completely surprised by everything about the guitar as a whole. Have some vids up right now...working on the sound demo vids now
Hey man just got your content. I like the way you roll. I'm a huge firefly fan. And really any good quality budget gear. I haven't got a v yet. But I've been debating it. Are frets really as good as I hear on youtube.
Thanks man! Yeah these Vs are incredibly fun and surprisingly very ergonomic (90° cable a must though). Im on my 2nd FF now, both had excellent fretwork out the box - leveled/dressed, no buzz anywhere. My Les Paul started developing fret sprouts 3 weeks in. Very minor but I did have to file the frets ends a tiny bit, now it's perfect again. This V came with stainless steel frets and rounded ends which are simply outstanding. Also alot better polished than the Les Paul too. I've recently started noticing some buzz, but I think it's more the neck and not necessarily the frets, needs a bit of a relief. This guitar is kept in the garage after all, no case, and it's been raining alot recently. I noticed they started offering stainless steel frets on a few 335 models but so far not in their LP/SGs. Much better value, I think! Absolutely happy with both guitars, but l do think its luck of the draw with Fireflies. But I've had a lemon Ibanez and Gibson in the past as well, so...
@@chucklee347 Ive never done it on SS frets so Im curious myself. Phil Mcknight says SS frets do not require any special tools but may wear out your files a little faster. I will keep you posted, but so far frets are still looking/feeling good on the V.
Beautiful guitar. Great review.

Wonderful looking V ... sounding awesome as well (I get the impression you could make just about any guitar sound great).

Nice vid!
(Just wish the live audio hadn't been so muffled.)
Thanks, appreciate the feedback!
Just ordered mine (Solid Green)last night. Lol can't wait til it arrives! Great color choice dude
Congrats man! Enjoy the new V!

@Twy7ch84 (T.R.R.I-TEC) Just saw your unboxing...love that army green finish! Cant wait for the tone demos!
@@Tonedefy thanks for that buddy! Yea, was a totally different green than what I expected, but love it nonetheless. Should have those others up soon
Wow. Nice!
For $220+shipping, it's a great platform for mods.
Couldn't agree more! Also it doesn't hurt that setup is pretty solid out the box!
Don't have issues. Just enjoy them 😃
The garage struggle is real!
It warms my heart to see that I am not alone.
Spending on amps over 15 firefly guitars is smart. 🥸👍

@@Tonedefy Yeah i Never thought that far Ahead. Is it possible to file stainless steel frets if sprout happens. I've never had one to know.
