Bigbsy B7 Install on a Gibson SG
Просмотров 6554 месяца назад
Bigsby B5 is actually what's recommended for SGs but I simply prefer the look of the longer tailpiece on a B7. What I used for this install: Bigsby B7 unit Vibramate V7 adapter kit Towner hinge plate adapter - for strap button install. Towner also provided rivets. Roller bridge from Stewmac Felt pads - used as a spacer between the hinge plate and guitar body.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Soul to Squeeze
Hi, how u reverse the Bigsby plate?
No more neck dive, if you care about that.😂
Hey have you ever tried, Monoprice guitars? If so, do you think the pickups and electronics are "better" than the firefly ones? Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you.
Damnnn Sworks Pre!
@@JimsonMTB LOL, mukang Trinx lang! 😂
Same vibrato Chris Cornell used on his Epiphone hollow body.
Wewww sarap pakinggan ah. Layo lang dito samin eh
Thanks Jim! Kaya wala na ride puro banda nalang!

Beautiful guitar. Great review.
Indio quality is way better than Firefly. not even close. I own both.
what material they use for the stanchoins?
I'm pretty sure its a neck-thru so 3 pieces makes perfect sense. I missed the burgundy mist x2 P90 in the last batch, no P90s in this batch.
Great video and awsome review! You captured the essence of our Aurum Overdrive pedal, Well done! We are overwhelmed by your support! Thanks deeply
Thanks Mickel! And sorry for butchering your name 😂😂😂
Damnnn galinggggg. Pang professional performer
Killer pedal! I LOVE mine! 🤘
Thanks! Yup lovin mine as well🤘🏽
More likely to stay in tune than a standard Gibson headstock design due to the way the inner strings don't have to sharp angle outwards?
Ayos to ah. Saan kayo nag play? Baka makabisita someday
Haha sa Toto's Grill sa Hayward bro. Ihaw ihaw grill dyan mga isaw! 😂
"Why" is classic talaga hahahaha
Gig tayo next visit mo dito!
I just purchased this 21 model and I like the pedal and grip colors on this, I think I might have to steal the concept
Cool man! Congrats! BTW, that pedal is bombproof. Still have it around!
I went with Crankbrothers Stamp 7 pedals in Raw/Silver and the PNW Loam grips in gray. I added a dropper post and lever. And changed the seat to the WTB Volt but I didn't mind the stock Entity saddle.
Classic! 😅
Who's jammin that intro music?
❓🤔 I havent owned a mountain bike since the mid 90s, when i bought a complete Specialized Stumpjumper M2 with a Manitou 3 elastomer front shock(they were a bit flexy). As with all mountain bikes in '94, it had 26" wheels. Back then everyone wanted as many gears as possible, 24 being preferred over 21. There was no such thing as "dropper posts", and i honestly dont ever recall anyone lamenting the fact that no one had invented it yet!(😁) Anyway, I sold ^that bike long ago. Now I'm looking at buying a new bike, and I'm confused..... Now everything is 27.5" and 29" wheels, tubeless tires, and a strange new desire for _less_ gears! Then there's the "dropper posts". Although i could be wrong, it seems that this newer generation of bikes are also significantly heavier than they used to be. Are 27.5" and 29" tires better than 26" were? Why are less gears suddenly better than more gears? When/why did it suddenly become so crucial to be able to instantly drop the seat down? Why are quick release rims now frowned upon? Why are tubeless better than tubed? Thanks 👍
kelan kaya makakanood ng live nito..
I’m tossing between this and the Specialized Chisel. Both are apparently very compliant frames. The Canadian in me really wants the Growler. lol. I’m not a racer, mostly trail riding in Arizona with a whack of riding buddies and my ooooooold Specialized Epic is badly in need of replacing. Thoughts on RM or Specialized?
For what it's worth, this Growler has been my daily driver the last couple of years. Ive taken her everywhere - wet, muddy, dusty, snowy and rocky conditions; handled everything like a champ. I did put a 150mm Fox 34 fork, as she is definitely worth the upgrade. So far holding up extremely well; she finally started developing some bottom bracket creaks, but that's about it. Ive never ridden the Spesh Chisel, but I think most Spesh are pretty solid as well, if not a little too vanilla.
@@Tonedefy that’s part of why I’m leaning towards the growler 40. Almost at my savings goal to get it.
What song is that almost halfway through the video while you’re sitting down and on the clean tone? Great playing!!! Thinking of getting the gold top p90
I think you're referring to either Lenny (Stevie Ray Vaughn) or Far Behind (Candlebox). Both great songs! 🤘🏽😊
Nice vid! (Just wish the live audio hadn't been so muffled.)
Thanks, appreciate the feedback!
Manuel lets go
nice!💙
Hey sprockets... Just catching this vid now. Came into my queue. I dig your style, and this is a killer guitar! Man Firefly is doing some great stuff these days, for great prices! Rock on! Subbing.
Hey thanks man I appreciate it. I agree, these Fireflies are great mod guitars. I still have that P90 Les Paul, I still always play it and I gotta say its holding up pretty well!
Niceeew
I’m a 50 yr old guy that used to be an avid rider before an injury. Just getting back into the sport. Love my new Growler. So many more good options than there was a decade ago
Had a problem with seat post moving
What grips are those???
Those were my DMR Deathgrips, not an exact match but close enough from afar.
Thanks for sharing 👍🔥❤️🙏🕉
Don't have issues. Just enjoy them 😃
If you get a $200 Firefly and put about $150 into upgrades, you will be rocking a respectable rig. I love the CNC work and quality hardwoods. 🎶🦊😬
Totally agree. I still remember what type of guitar $200 would get ya back in the days...practically just firewood!
super...
Sounded great
Wonderful looking V ... sounding awesome as well (I get the impression you could make just about any guitar sound great).
Thanks man! Still waiting on a couple of parts to finalize my mod, but will be doing a comparison video at some point between this Firefly and the Epi Korina! Love 'em both!
I have the opportunity to buy a Growler50 2022 for 1750$ US. Specs are great of course they also have a 40 for 1270$ us
Wow. Nice!
Damn it man. Nice chops. That tone you've got it nailed. I love P90's. Like everyone says it's a hybrid between a humbucker and single coil. It is the best of both worlds. PS. Firefly P90's sound waaaay better than the humbuckers in my opinion.
Thanks! Yeah man P90s are just soo in your face! Love it!
Just ordered mine (Solid Green)last night. Lol can't wait til it arrives! Great color choice dude
Congrats man! Enjoy the new V!
@@Tonedefy thanks buddy, have been really enjoying it!! Was completely surprised by everything about the guitar as a whole. Have some vids up right now...working on the sound demo vids now
@Twy7ch84 (T.R.R.I-TEC) Just saw your unboxing...love that army green finish! Cant wait for the tone demos!
@@Tonedefy thanks for that buddy! Yea, was a totally different green than what I expected, but love it nonetheless. Should have those others up soon
Where did you get that pickguard? Did it fit?
Hi...the guitar came with a pickguard, just not installed.
i just ordered the same v myself today! $226 out the door, and no tax? always wanted a v, and i love the look of the natural finish. by the way you do that guitar justic the way you play it! the stock pickups sound alright, i am thinking of upgrading the ones in my v when it gets here lol. this will go well with my partscaster, a hand made strat i built about 7 years ago, my tele and a hanson gatto. keep on picking brother and thanks for the good review!
Hey thanks man! Appreciate the kind words! Thats how much I paid for mine, interesting that they dont charge tax. This is my 2nd FF, and IMO they're excellent modding platform! Sounds like you're pretty comfortable working on your guitars so I think you'll have fun with this V.
