    If you were to turn these squares into a blanket, what variations would you do? Some solid granny squares of white, red and green? White with red trim, white with strawberry trim, green with strawberries? I need to know!!! I'm going to make a baby-blanket for a friend and was trying to decide what pattern to use - I'd love to incorporate this square!

    • @misseverleedesigns
      @misseverleedesigns  2 года назад +2

      We’ve done all kinds of variations but yes for a blanket some solid squares would be good, just do a normal granny stitch in place of the strawberries 🥰

    this is so helpful !!!! do you know how you would do a triangle/half granny square with the strawberries????

    • @misseverleedesigns
      @misseverleedesigns  2 года назад

      The strawberry granny stitch could be used in place of any single granny stitch. So it would just depend on where you want the strawberries 🥰

    agh this is so cute i can’t wait to make a bag out of these!! i was wondering about how long it took you to make one individual square? i’m
    trying to figure out how long it will take me to make one bag

    • @misseverleedesigns
      @misseverleedesigns  2 года назад

      It doesn’t take us too long but we have the square memorized. We normally mix it with regular granny squares with the same stitch count to do big projects. You can see some on our insta or Tiktok we’ve done

  • @naturalfun2686
    @naturalfun2686 2 года назад +1

    Hey this is an amazing pattern and design! I just had a question because I’m struggling. So on the third row when we go into each Conner and middle and do a granny stitch we are supposed to do three correct? Because when I did three (3dc ch2) by the end of the row it looked like a hexagon not a square?

    • @misseverleedesigns
      @misseverleedesigns  2 года назад +1

      Yes 3!

    • @misseverleedesigns
      @misseverleedesigns  2 года назад +1

      Ok to clarify, there is 3 double crochets in each granny stitch, and there is 3 granny stitches on each side of the third row. You can extend it to a bigger granny square too! We’ve made some really big ones!

  • @elli7057
    @elli7057 2 года назад +2

    is there anyway i could crochet these strawberries into a blanket? newbie here lol

    • @misseverleedesigns
      @misseverleedesigns  2 года назад +2

      Yep, the strawberry along takes up one stitch count, normally best with double crochets or something of similar height around it

    • @misseverleedesigns
      @misseverleedesigns  2 месяца назад

      Absolutely! Just don’t sell the actual pattern. We’ve had people make items and then link our pattern for the squares, then add what they did to sell their own patterns too. Happy selling!

    How do u hide your excess red and green yarn?

    • @misseverleedesigns

      Tie it into the back of the strawberry, and drag the yarn behind the previous row if you pull across🥰

    are we meant to cut the ends when we completed each strawberries?

    • @misseverleedesigns

    • @misseverleedesigns
      @misseverleedesigns  2 года назад +2

      Oh no!!!! I’m assuming you mean round by tomatoes 🍅 maybe try doing less double crochets? Your tension maybe different or the yarn might contribute. Hope that helps
