I like to think the reason Zilla Jr. can breathe fire and his father cannot is because the species mutates with each new generation. a new ability is added depending on the experiences from the parent and adapts to their struggles. there was an alien species in Metroid Prime 1 that did this. whenever it moved to a new environment and had children, the species would rapidly grow to that environment.
Cyberzilla could breathe blue fire, but that was mostly because of the cybernetic implants. Zilla Jr. could do it entirely on his own and was much stronger than his father, and not just because of more battle experience. if this is true that they evolve rapidly through each generation, it makes me wonder what Zilla Jr's descendants would be like?

It was not bad. It was fast and what probably a civil war within the species would like.
What I liked the most was that you tried to emulate the differences and similarities between their individual designs.
A cameo appearance of Philippe Roache, who would have punched the Xilien Commander would have been also a sight to be hold.
