Great video. I'm 54 and have been surfing and skateboarding since age 7. I've always wanted a Carver but have always just ridden conventional skateboards. I just got my first Carver. I got the Blacktip with CX trucks. I can't express how stoked I am on this board. Feels amazing. I've been riding it for two weeks now and I got back on a regular board and it actually felt like it wouldn't turn. Felt so stiff. I'm never going back. The build quality, customer service, and passion in the company has made me a Carver rider for life. 🤙

I’m not a surfer, but the pros at the OMBE surf channel use a wooden bowl for instructing their students on dry land. They’ve done a virtual dissertation on the premier SSK8 trucks on the market and have proclaimed the CX as delivering the most realistic crossover experience for surf training. Now, add Riptide bushings and the performance is absolute perfection.

Probably the best ever explanation video and the passion in the words really shows the dedication and effort Carver has made over the years. My first board was a YOW and after 1 year I tried a Carver it feels special in its own way. The stability and response is definitely a unique riding experience too. There's no brand that is better than the other, more to personal preference. Someday I will get my own CX Carver too

Hi! A little anecdote of mine: A friend couple of mine which surfed once in a blue moon wanted to train in their spare time with a surfskate, and they asked me - a lifelong skateboarder - if I could recommend any brand. I hadn't heard of surfskates before, and my ADHD made me go deep, hard and fast into the topic and resurfaced with one sure answer: Get yourself a Carver! I even provided them with links to used boards or ones that were on a sale. And during that whole endeavour I myself got hooked and I bought a Resin with CX trucks and shortly after that a C7 set (in order to modify an existing board of mine). And I dare to say - I am hooked for life. I am nearly fifty now and these two boards transport me right back into my childhood. Absolute freedom of movement. The effortlessness. The sudden lightness of being alive. The foot the hurt before the session - suddenly I don't feel any hurt at all. And after the session: The absolutely gratifying feeling of a full body workout and the happy drowsiness of being soaked in endorphins.
I am sure, right now you are asking yourself: What the hell has that to do with my decathlon surfskate?
Well ... after all my valuable tips and the happy reporting about my own surfskate experiences, what did my friends do? They went to Decathlon for their surfskates. *sigh*
I rode one of the decathlons. It was terrible. I mean ... in comparison. Maybe one could have done something about the bushings and the wheels, but it also sounded and felt different, and not in a good way. If that would have been my first surfskate experience, it would have also been my last.
And my friends? How well did they do? How was their experience? - "The boards are great, but we don't really find the time to ride them. It was a good decision to not go full in right away."
      Yeah, sure.
Anyway, 3oodwork682, if you are happy with your surfskate, I am glad for you. And if it doesn't excite you anymore - you now, there is still room for improvement equipment-wise. And I gotta commend you for giving props to Carver for their ground-breaking development work!

I've got a few Hawaiin increments on Jamie O', that's 2 inches of real life height in European units.
I went all in on the first edition of the Yago model (...33.75” skinny goat), and picked up two to be safe.
Still glad I did, the bigger nose has saved me a few times in the bowl, can't loose it, and I really like the refined tail width of this board, ball of the back foot kinda feel.
So I've cared for these deck like they ain't Yago-going into any bricks anytime soon.
I would really like to see these same dim's reinstated, ......be so proud if after random me, UK 13 shoe, big Jim's!! (Lunan bay Scotland is I)

Great video but you copied the Fury trucks ball pivot. In 1997, they pioneered the CNC machined ball with precision pivot cup and Tony Hawk rode them pulling off the worlds first 900 at X-Games San Francisco. Kudos for your excellent design and manufacturing processes but claiming credit for other people's design innovations is not cool.
