When I was a young man, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I have time, but I did not know it. I have love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understand has passed into contentment. Love, liberty and time, once so disaposable, are the fuels that drive me forward. And love, most especially. For you, our children, our brothers and sisters, and for the vast and wonderful world that give us life. Endless affections, Mia Sofia. Ezio Auditore.
The first AC has always been my favorite. Nothing like gathering information about your next target, studying them before going into action, coming up with a proper plan, executing it, and escaping. It really was about ASSASSINATION. Much like the good Hitman games. Sequels have been great at expanding various gameplay features, but the real assassination gameplay mechanic from the first one was lost. I remember in AC2 you didn't really have a clear idea of who your targets even where, it just wasn't the same after AC1. Also climbing up tall buildings and towers for the first time in AC1 was super rewarding, haven't felt the same in the sequels.
+Ignorant Cancer I find that all, or at least most, of the games have their own strong points. As you said, the first one had the assassination, but syndicate has Evie and Jacob, who are the best characters. I hope that the new game will use the strong points of the past, in stead of starting all over again.
+Ignorant Cancer I felt this way as well. Play Unity and Syndicate. The stealth and intelligence gathering has been improved greatly, and the 1:1 scale of buildings makes them feel like an accomplishment to climb again.
+uberpwn3d21134 Thanks, I'll have to go back to the AC series then. I played all 9 AC games before Black Flag. I guess I have to catch up with the last ones, from Black Flag to Syndicate. My post more Assassin's Creed videos on my channel then (I have a few already).
+Aqşin Mahmudov I haven't completed Syndicate yet, but from the beginning until you get the grappling hook (which is pretty early on, to be fair), I thought it was on track to be the best AC by far in terms of gameplay and level design. The grappling hook changes gameplay dramatically, so I haven't played enough to make a confident judgement on that, but I like it overall so far.
Absolutely amazing video! A reminder of my love for the series... Assassin's Creed is and forever will be my favourite video game franchise, I personally don't think the franchise has had one bad game, Rogue and Unity were only slightly disappointing at best to me anyway. But it's clear that everything the developers do in these games is in service of the story, and the fact that so many people continue to buy and play Assassin's Creed to this day, even after they didn't like Unity, I think speaks volumes about how much people genuinely care about this franchise and the quality of storytelling and gameplay this series has produced over the past 10 years. I went through a tough time at one point in my pre-teen and early teen life, but Assassin's Creed always brought a smile to my face when I felt down. Every game has it's flaws and every franchise that's long running will make a few fumbles along the way, but that will never change my love for a series that has crafted beautiful worlds, told amazing stories, got me into history, given me moral questions to think about, and above all, let me have so much fun doing it.
But even if he didn't spoke correctly, those are oppinions. And doesn't mean you have the right to say "shit in your mouth" just because you have an oppinion. Nothing more, nothing less. PD: even those franchise have bad or "step back" games. Except Red Dead, that's only a game that is amazin.
+Eric Nick I played AC3 for the sole purpose of continuing Desmond's story. I didn't enjoy it at all and I stopped playing Assassins Creed after that. Revelations and AC2 are in my all time favorite games.
+Striball That's how I felt about AC2, with its lackluster campaign and uninteresting charater left a distasteful feeling in my mouth. At least the final act got better but by then it was to late.
What people seem to not get is that assassins creed isn't just a video game, it's a series of lessons, it's a trip through history so that people in the real world don't do the same mistakes as those in theirs. It may be fictional, but it doesn't make it any less true.
***** I don't understand what personal reasons it would be... I've never said anything bad about you, I really liked your videos, you can see my comments there, then you blocked me. I don't care about the past anymore, Assassin's Creed Multiplayer is dead now... I really hope you will be a better Community Manager because I still care about Assassin's Creed. (I'm sorry if I was rude).... It seems you only care about fans who upload videos with thousands of views
+Gbiese you are adorable, you blocked alot of people that never said anything to you; ex KristianNox just bc he was in OT, blocked Neenkin cuz he showed a funny glitch in unity? i can go on with the examples all day dude, all in all do what you want for all i care i just find funny how much of a bitch you became and backstabber
That was the most beautiful thing I've seen this year. Really great job, so many memories from the Assassin's Creed games. I still remember myself playing Assassin's Creed on my old PC back on 2007... Congrats!
People say that its just a video game. I say it is a lesson. We can learn from ourselves, make the right decision and do best for what is right for us. Last year people call me Ezio, not for being charming or look like him is because the love I feel for my family and those I call brothers and sisters. Assassin's Creed had inspired me to keep moving forward no matter what what problems I have and with who people make me as an enemy. What matters is who is beside you and who loves you. And we must remember this: "Forget the old and prepare for the new." We are our own writer to keep passing the pages and keep writing. We are who we are. We live to share our stories so they can be remembered by those who have our love.
This video made me fully realise how much Assassins creed has been part of my life so far, i really hope they continue it for real. plus the new film coming out looks promising.
*Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag + Assassin's Creed: Rogue + Assassin's Creed: Liberation + Assassin's Creed 3 = The American Saga* - My favorite games so far and I hope they rerelease them on PS4 soon. Now playing Syndicate though.
+InformantⓋ Brotherhood? In AC4? Thank you for making this amazing video Assassin's Creed Universe. Every minute video loved it. Was worth the months of absence, now I remember because I love both this saga. The best
This is the best game series ever, with a lot of passion put in it. So remember: Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent, hide in plain sight and never compromise the brotherhood. These are the tenets of the creed.,
I love this, especially seeing the behind the scenes, how these games are made. It makes me really want to be a part of the the team. I would love to create a game as great as Assassin's Creed.
Hi I'm the creator of Assassin's Creed Overhaul mod and I was really suprised to see it shown in your video but also happy because I've been watching your videos for a long while :D
Nothing is true Evry thing is permited.
"Water reservoirs were made and trees were planted and the Qala (castle) began to look as a Khushk, royal rest house in a garden. He also developed the irrigation schemes for the surrounding district as that the inhabitants of the vicinity improved their lot considerably." - Chronicler and Historian Rashid-ud-din Hamadani describing what the historical Assassins did after conquering a castle. Regardless of how you see him, Altaïr is the best Assassin in the Brotherhood. They wouldn’t have gotten anywhere without him, hell, he saved it after it was revealed Al Mualim was the mastermind. I can't believe we can't get his outfit for Syndicate
10 Years ago I saw my friend playing AC1 on Xbox 360, I thought hmmm that looks cool, what game is this, then he told me it's called Assassin's Creed, I thought nah it'll probably be boring after a while and I'll never play it, plus I dont even own a console or good PC ...then 10 years later never could I ever imagine that I can fall in love with a series so much after playing every game in it, btw the friend stopped playing AC since AC1, what irony...wow 10 years are just like yesterday, and It all trace back to the moment I saw Altair climbing...damn that nostalgic feeling...hey who put this goddamn onion here!!
I will always be an AC fan, but to be honest I felt that after AC Black Flag the series has really gone downhill. I really hope that by taking a break this year they come back with an epic game that goes back to the roots of the franchise as well as developing the story in the modern day, that was what made AC extra special!
"So we thought of a love story and wondered if we can pull it off" Me: Looks at Ezio with Christina, Ezio with Catarina, Ezio with Sofia, Edward with Anne, Altair with Marie. "Are you really doubting whether or not you can?"
Fucking love it especially Assassin's Creed 3, literally the best narrative ever created in the franchise. Well AC1 might have still beaten it but still.
+Diego Ginesta Connor was an hypocrite? How so? He helped Washington because he thought it would be the right thing to do. All he wanted to do is protect his village, which he failed, mainly BECAUSE of Washington, who he had helped. The Templars lost but the the bitter-sweet victory is just amazing in term of story telling ! He gave up everything he could for the cause of the Brotherhood (Friend, Biological Father, Homeland ...) The present day is just as good as any other AC's. But I agree with you, Rogue IS a great AC game even if I was reluctant to buy it at first thinking it would only be a second AC 4 ... I have never been so wrong !
Diego Ginesta Please play Assassin's Creed 3 again and actually tell me the moment he became a hypocrite. Conner had depth to him then Ezio ever did in AC2. These characters your talking about, was it the bland stereotypical villian or genric flamboyant main character or forgettable family that I've already seen countless time's over. " Famous people helped as well" Well bravo that's something that hasn't been done *IN ANY OF THE ASSASSIN'S CREED GAMES* - Correction: Rouge had a better storyline then AC2.
Thank you all for watching. After a few months of work I'm glad you can finally see it!
What is your favorite part of the video by the way ? :-)
The first ten minutes hit me the most, but its all great
+Assassin's Creed Univers I enjoyed seeing all of the early footage from III again
Jacob's
+Assassin's Creed Univers I love the quotes from the assassins. Nice ender. Right in the Feels. COme on AC 2017

The best video I've seen on Assassin's Creed, loved every second of this, Thank you for rekindling my love for the series
LazerzZ again aye I would think you would make a witty joke about how much you hated unity or how bland Connor is
as a fellow assassin's Creed fan all I can say is I wish there were more people like us who knew that this is more than just a game
I knw rite...it's nt just a game...its an emotion
King Slayer coundnt said better myself
true, its not just a game.. this is life.
It's not a game bro... It's a legend!
we are few but good 11 years now have passed and even if I only jumped into this series in 2013 with AC II, I'm so glad I did
When I was a young man,
I had liberty, but I did not see it.
I have time, but I did not know it.

that end to ezio's story was so sad... :( i want more ezio!

the best games ever made
+kilian 1407 The Witcher, The Elder Scrolls, Red Dead, Grand Theft Auto, Deus Ex, Bioshock, etc... shit in your mouth

kilian 1407 That argumentation. I feel so bad I agree with you now.

+1
They should really like remake Assassin's Creed 1.... like HD Graphics, same story, and add a couple of the newer mechanics for free running
Yes they should, I would love to see them remaster the Ezio trilogy too.
And Assassin's Creed 3.
+Eric Nick I played AC3 for the sole purpose of continuing Desmond's story. I didn't enjoy it at all and I stopped playing Assassins Creed after that. Revelations and AC2 are in my all time favorite games.

Absolutely nailed it. The editing ws perfect with apt music. Had goosebumps. AC fan for life.
Can't wait for the next 10 years of Assassin's Creed!
I loved the ending monologue, it really made me think about not just playing but realizing that it pretty much reflects the world right now
Wow , looking back I've just realised how much this franchise has helped me through all the stuff in my life I've found hard . Thank you Ubisoft

Brotherhood?
In AC4? You almost don't see them !
*spoil finish AC4 game before reading this*
You're banned of the island and thus from the brotherhood, you help Black-Beard with Nassau after that.
Then, you look for the Observatory. You learn that Kidd is an assassin (It did surprise me, even though I kind of new who Kidd really was ... It was obvious !). You hang out some more with Bartholomew Roberts and Kidd dies.
One is needed to replace her and you're the only (skilled) option available.

Before that, you had an entertaining pirate of the Caribbean game.
+Ganamabunta08
I did't say AC4 was the best game in the franchise or anything. I just said it looked, visually, beautiful. That's all.
As for the Caribbean Brotherhood I find them really fascinating because we don't get to see a lot of them. They're diverse, their robes are awesome. They also use Assassin Bureau which we haven't seen in years.
Plus, this is just my opinion. Why do you have to get all worked up about it? I didn't bring the fuckin’ Pomeranian bowling.

Almost 20 years now. Still holds a place in my heart for life lessions.
It is whole a history of assassin's Creed franchise...... good job.
AC 1 will always be my favorite. The simple freedom it allowed in carrying out tasks and how the narrative did not require constant interuption from cutscenes.

Yes, but that doesn't match for the soundtrack at the starting of AC2. I mean from 1:12 to 1:58...do you know this soundtrack?
Thank you for creating this dream!
I will always be an AC fan, but to be honest I felt that after AC Black Flag the series has really gone downhill. I really hope that by taking a break this year they come back with an epic game that goes back to the roots of the franchise as well as developing the story in the modern day, that was what made AC extra special!
"So we thought of a love story and wondered if we can pull it off"
Me: Looks at Ezio with Christina, Ezio with Catarina, Ezio with Sofia, Edward with Anne, Altair with Marie. "Are you really doubting whether or not you can?"
THIS BRINGS CHILLS/GOOSEBUMPS DOWN MY SPINE :'D
I love this series and this community so much 😢😢😢
Fucking love it especially Assassin's Creed 3, literally the best narrative ever created in the franchise. Well AC1 might have still beaten it but still.
+Eric Nick ac2 kills it, ac3 was mediocre
+John N AC2 had a bare bone campaign with mediocre characters. AC3 actually had a proper campaign ever since AC1.
You clearly havent played the 3 Ezio games
+Diego Ginesta
Connor was an hypocrite?
How so?
He helped Washington because he thought it would be the right thing to do. All he wanted to do is protect his village, which he failed, mainly BECAUSE of Washington, who he had helped.
The Templars lost but the the bitter-sweet victory is just amazing in term of story telling !
He gave up everything he could for the cause of the Brotherhood (Friend, Biological Father, Homeland ...)
The present day is just as good as any other AC's.
" Famous people helped as well" Well bravo that's something that hasn't been done *IN ANY OF THE ASSASSIN'S CREED GAMES*
- Correction: Rouge had a better storyline then AC2.
Don't think anyone loves these games like i do, but they lost their soul, after Desmond died he took the entire spirit of the game with him!
Good idea to add Two Steps From Hell - Victory along with AC3. It is an epic orchestra. Really, AC should use more TSFH.
they need to make it like it used to be
Yea back in the good Ezio days
***** yessir
Back when combat was a challenge and fun and not just pressing circle then square
Darran Rawlings yup ol ezio
This is the best Assassin video.
Too bad we won't see Collection. Was really hoping to play an AC1-AC4 remaster this year.
Man, I remember when the first Assassin’s Creed came out. You could not get me away from that fucking controller for ANYTHING.
My life would been so boring without Assassin's Creed :3
I agree!
