You really need to be mentioning that some settings like streaming VBOs should be off on AMD cards or the performance will be even worse. Your individual hardware matters very much when it comes to SL.

should mention this tip is for people with old GPU's. If you have a 16 gig GFX card then you're flying on high/ultra. =)

Why is your Enable Dynamic Texture Memory not grayed out in my screen it is? Do you need to log in to disable it?

This usually happens when Firestorm does not recognize your graphics card or you graphics do not support it.
