THANK YOU!! Lots of answers- so we all play in person, and music is played during the session (however I do edit in music in because the recording’s quality wise is sometimes not the greatest). The campaign this is from was going on for a long time, in fact I think this was session 20! The campaign is still going, although we’re on pause at the moment, and it’s fun as hell! I know I get super invested in most campaigns, and because I feel like I know my character as a person it really helps me understand when they’re upset, what their reactions would be and why they do what they do. The world we play in is a fantasy world with magic based technology! In fact the whole campaign is based around “what if the game Wizards 101 was a ttrpg?” And it’s SO fun. I love all the characters in the campaign, we have more goofy moments that in the future i might show, but when it’s serious it gets really intense for the characters in the scene and normally the rest of the table is losing their minds-
@@atticusmax Ohhhh gosh I TOTALLY get that! It feels so incredibly good when the silly little jokes and interesting characteristics you put together suddenly turn into not just a character but someone you can actually understand! Especially when you get to learn more about them by playing, maybe even about yourself and what parts of you are implemented into them! I love creating Oc's and worlds sooo much auohkrshgk But oh Gee I'm already getting off topic (could take about these things for hours..) So thank you so much for answering! Wowee, 20 sessions sure is a lot- I'd be so proud of that, it's awesome! (Also props to your DM, their smug evil tone in the last video was just- peak) And Ohhhhh :0 That sounds like a really fun concept..you could use it in so many different ways, oh my- (Oh and..I know Ulrich is like the villian here right now but I love his nose..big or just crooked noses in designs always make me like the characters abit more somehow- lmao)
I am also a player in this campaign and it’s fantastic, it’s been going on for so long and it’s such a detailed campaign with some incredible people and we are so lucky to have this INCREDIBLE artist/animator/player (I see you reading this buddies, you cant argue with me) and these videos are wonderful parts of that.

My character, Rue, just figured out the person who their mother sent to have Rue removed from life was their brother, Ulrich. This was the call that resulted! There’s a LOT more that I can explain if theres any questions, but thats the basics of the situation in this!

One of the players here! I shall give basic campaign setting while buddies is healing-! This campaign is called songs of the spiral and it is set in the world of wizard101. Basically W101 as a TTRPG. Each character is a student at Ravenwood magic academy, studying magic of different kinds. Each character has their own reasons for being there- some not so normal, as you can probably tell from the animation, but I’ll let the talented animator tell you the rest when they’re better 💙

Lore dump time- Rue grew up in a very prominent family, and was a bit of a stain on their reputation, because her parents, both half-elves, her siblings, also all half-elves, so the public was told, hey, this tiefling child was definitely adopted. Unfortunately no. Rue is the product of an affair. Even so, the husband, Oswin, ended up primarily raising Rue, because their mother, Edith, wanted nothing to do with her and just seen her as a liability. Oswin only involved two kids in the family business, Rue and then his oldest child, Ulrich. Rue and Ulrich basically went through hell together. They were informants for their father and for the family business which is primarily shady stuff, and Oswin, just a bad guy, hate that guy. But Ulrich always hated Rue. Since the moment Rue existed, Ulrich despised him like he’s never despised anyone before. So when Edith found Rue gathering information she thought was dangerous for the business and she kicked Rue out, he didn’t hesitate saying yes when she asked him to take care of the liability. And out of all the people who had tried to end Rue, the fire Ulrich set was the closest to success. Rue knew his mother sent someone, but didn’t know it was Ulrich until just this moment. The “you’re going with them” at the end is alluding to a letter Rue sent Ulrich earlier about her plan to finally end Edith and Oswin, the two people who have hurt them the most. She is extremely hurt, because even though she knew Ulrich barely tolerated her existence, she still knew that they were the only two people who knew what they experienced working for their father.
the DM of this campaign here! season one isn't available (and probably won't be--the raw quality of the recordings kinda SUCKS :") ) but we're considering turning it into a podcast !!
