I'll never forget listening to this with my Grandma, we found a Cosby Himself Tape on the cellophane. She took me out to the car and we popped it in the tape deck and laughed our heads off the whole time, this bit really stuck out to me for whatever reason. I remember my grandmother being really tickled over it. I was probably 10 and I will cherish this memory forever. I miss you Grandma.
When I was growing up I used to sit around the dinner table with my family and listen to Cosby's stand-up audio cassettes. Listening to him as a child gave me a sense of self awareness. An ability to view my own ridiculousness through my parents eyes and still find it humorous. Say what you want about this man and his allegations, condemn him in his old-age, but the fact of the matter is that Bill Cosby spoke hilarity/realism about family life for 2 decades, without cussing. I admire his work and the profound affect he had on middle class family. It's a shame about what he was accused of, but the fact remains that he changed so many of our lives for the better ("A Different World" etc) bringing to light racial issues and family values through his work and that shall not be admonished. I will forever admire this man for what he has taught us all, and not for the monster he was made out to be after his career ended.
"He's going to shoot you in the face with a bazooka! And I'm not going to stop him this time, either! You know he's always wanted to kill you!" -Bill Cosby Such memorable words.
Ironically, he's already dead, but my mom told me Camille did not actually want her son dead. She was just mad that he shaved off the middle of his head without her knowledge or consent.
That's what a parent will be inclined to do when #Abortion was not an option before. However, thanks to Bill's wife Camille, he's gone the #ProLife route. How he pokes fun at the opposite side of the spectrum without getting sacked for it is a miracle to me.
