I'm commenting before you're finished so you may address it already, but minced onions can be rehydrated and will taste EXACTLY like McDonald's onions. I do this every time I replicate a Big Mac wrap, and I think it's the "maker" of my dupe.
I always look for them at dollar tree and had a hard time getting them but found some yesterday. I don’t use them all the time but like having them on hand
Yum can I please come snack at your house big macs are a guilty pleasure I love the flavor ....remember Bobs Big Boy? Well I do but I'm older than the Dinosaurs lol but Bobs Big Boy used to make thee most delicious original hamburger that McDonalds copied...and Bobs Big Boy used to make a real vanilla coke so incredibly good no joke they never skimped or lowered their quality of ingredients even their hot fudge sundaes and hot fudge cake that was a thick slice of plain devil's food fresh baked cake cut in a layer in between the cake layers the top and bottom being cake the middle was their cream sugar and vanilla bean ice cream this was topped with cloud of fresh whipped cream drizzled with cherry juice and two long stem cherries they never gave you a mushy or ugly cherry only picture perfect cherries and all over their famous home made hot fudge sauce and and a silver 3 ounce deep ramikan of piping hot fudge sauce in case you wanted more ....this was so good people would stare at the plate as the waitress carried it to your table...oh their vanilla strawberry or chocolate malts also were thick freshly made only wholesome ingredients zero chemicals.
gritskennedy...Bob's big boy still exists. I haven't been to the one where I live, in 25 years, since I got food poisoning and was on an 8-hour drive, with 4 small children, to visit my parents, while my husband was working overseas! I had to stop for the night at a hotel, and was throwing up all night! Thankfully, my kids just got kids meals and didn't get food poisoning! I do remember their big boy burger. Their sauce tastes much more like tarter sauce than the big mac sauce.
Definitely agree!! I also really love that she cooks for 2 people. It's not easy to go from cooking for 6 or 8 to now just 2 of us. Plus the accessibility of the ingredients and ease of substitutions! I always say I'm not a cook (I bake better than I cook) but I always feel like I can make whatever Rebecca does!! I am low key obsessed
Instead of a charcuterie board, I can see a spread of all four dips with various dippers such as tortilla chips, potato chips, pretzel rods, bagel chips and graham crackers. Another great video, Rebecca. Loved every minute of it!
These look amazing! For the street corn dip, I would suggest charring the corn in the pan before adding the rest of the ingredients. That's what I do when I make corn salsa with either canned or frozen corn It makes a world of difference in the flavor. Just make sure the corn is dried off really well or it will pop all over the kitchen...+
This or sometimes there's canned corn that's roasted! I'm not sure if all dollar trees carry it, but I've seen some cans floating around before. I've also seen a santa fe mix with onions/black beans and roasted corn in the frozen aisle that would be good too!
I make a street corn dip very similar to this. I pan sear the corn in a skillet with a little butter before adding the rest of the ingredients. It really adds the "roasted" corn flavor you said you were missing. Love the dips! I can't wait to try the cheeseburger recipe!
I have mixed the Dollar Tree French onion dip with a small bottle of Kraft ranch (also from dollar tree) and it made a great veggie/chip dip! Love and appreciate your videos!
Buying the can you dented-further proof you're good people. Thank you for all of your hard work. We are now utilitzing our discount stores in ways we never thought and its been so helpful!
For nut butters - sore upside down overnight (or more) then flip it back, open, and mix. The oil seeps through while it’s upside down and makes it much easier! These dips look bomb, and I can’t wait to try them!
Chipotle powder also works really well. I can usually find it for much cheaper than smoked paprika, but that may differ depending on where you're located.
I'm making a fiesta dip, it's 1 cup sour cream, a couple tablespoons of mayo, 1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese, few dashes hot sauce, and equivalent of one packet ranch seasoning Blend all ingredients in a bowl and serve with chips of choice
Yay, Michael made an appearance.! What a great video, all of the dips looked amazing. And thanks for "taking one for the team" by trying the avocado-adjacent dip 💛
These look amazing! I think they would bought benefit from throwing in one of those aluminum pans and put in the oven for a bit! Maybe, put a little cheese on the cheeseburger one! Just my thoughts? 😊 The hummus can be made using sesame oil, instead of tahini! Made it before and it’s just as good!
They all sound amazing especially the cheese burger dip. Based on the sweetness factor, I wonder how the dessert dip would be with Granny Smith apples?
If you store your natural peanut butter (or hazelnut spread) upside down, it should prevent separation. Love your videos, I’ve made a bunch of your recipes!
Oh my gracious!!! I am a dip freak. YES!!!! All of these will be made. I made a 1 small pan baked dip 2 weeks ago that cost me $16. My Aldi find of a 5 x 6 baking dish. I promise I am loving the savings on these dips. Mostly if I can use a tortilla chip in it I will make it. I also enjoy warmed naan bread with humus. Yummy!
Hi Rebecca...I turned your cheeseburger dip into cheeseburger soup. I used your recipe plus a can of diced tomatoes (no rotel), beef broth and minus chopped pickles and peppers. I served dill pickles on the side.
That hazelnut dip looked thick enough, that if you put it into a graham cracker or Oreo pie shell, you'd have a great pie! Maybe whip some cream cheese before adding in the other ingredients, to cut the sweetness. It would, of course, be a refrigerator pie. Save some cool whip to put on top, before crumbling some Reese's cups, if desired! It would be a winner at any carry in dinner!!! Double the ingredients and put in a 9×13 pan, to serve a crowd!
If you have a cellphone or anything that's connected to the internet in or around your kitchen it can interfere with wireless microphones when the device receives data. Turning them on airplane mode could help remedy the mic issues. Awesome video as usual!
The problem is that it happens whether my cell phone is around or not, and it happens temporarily and then fixes itself without any adjustments on my end, I’m at a loss, I can’t figure out why it happens because it’s seemingly random and always temporary
Regarding microphone issues rewatch your video. Excessive hand movement. Inches from the Microphone always which causes interference. Practice keeping your hands-on the table while you talk. Great recipes so I know you were excited love you
You are truly wonderful! I have been looking for ideas for cheaper meals for my family of 4, as I am a single mama, and your energy is just so genuine. We appreciate you! 💖
For roasted corn, I have taken a can of corn, spread the kernels on a baking and put it under the broiler until the kernels brown a little bit. It really works!
It was so nice to see how excited you were for the cheeseburger dip success! And it was fun to get to see Michael as a taste tester after hearing you mention him in your videos. Love all of these dip ideas, especially because I love doing snacky/finger foods/appetizer style foods for days like my birthday, xmas eve, new year's, etc. Thanks for all of these new ideas. I think I'm going to try the cheeseburger one with vegetarian beef substitute for sure!
Aw, that was so sweet watching you and Michael! I could feel the mutual respect through the screen as you made sure he felt no pressure to be on camera - so sweet! All those dips looked fantastic and most coukd have pasta added to make it a meal but dips as is are awesome. Enjoyed the bonus review! Another awesome video, Rebecca! Loved this one!
One way you can help rinse the hamburger as you cook would be to boil the burger meat as your cooking it in the skillet, then drain the water and add the bacon grease to brown it up. Youd want to completely cover the burgers in boiling water to sleed up the process.

That cheeseburger did looks awesome, the smokiness in the corn dip can be fixed with a little liwuid smoke, and it's cream cheese too, (Hot Chocolate Dip) but 1 block w a tub of cool whip and a packet of swiss miss is the cutest Christmas party dip. Tiny marshmallows & cute sprinkles put it over the top!
Someone got me one of those crockpots that has 3 smaller wells instead of one big one. It is FANTASTIC for making multiple dips like this, so you can keep them on low so the dip stays warm and the cream cheese doesn't firm up.
Regarding the "Hummus", peanut or almond butter can definitely be a substitute for tahini. I think Dollar Tree used to sell a "nut butter" but I haven't seen it in a long time ✌️
I love hummus.I know you are talking dollar store stuff But i always buy dried chickpeas cook them myself and freeze them cooked in "can" sized portions as i prefer the taste/ texture to the canned and they are cheaper. I also never have Tahini so i use peanut butter instead different flavor but gives me the right texture? Love it on toast too!
I've been obsessed with this hummus since I made it (on tuesday), I'm still working my way through it, I've been spreading it on wraps with cucumbers and tomatoes too.
When using frozen burgers I boil them before frying. To save dishes, you can add water to the pan and boil for 2-3 minutes. I then drain the water and fry my burgers. This way I am not rinsing off the flavour I have been developing on the burger. If you want the bacon flavour, you could cook the bacon once the burgers are boiled and then add the burger to the bacon fat. For you sweet dip, I think it would also go well with fruit like, strawberries, apple wedges or pineapple fingers.
Fun to see Michael in a video. You two are so cute together. I really like the idea of the Cheese Burger Dip. I will have to make it for the next time I entertain.
i love your videos!!! they're so helpful, not only to the lower income and/or rural communities, but also to those of us that have bad mental health and executive dysfunction issues that make it so hard to make nutritious meals because of too much work or too many ingredients! thank you for your channel! P.S. i just wanted to say that that cool whip often has coconut oil in it, just for those who have a severe coconut allergy like my husband, it's good to know!
That hazelnut spread should not have separated quite so much, because it does contain an emulsifier (I think you read out sunflower lecithin?), but I'm glad the flavour was good. I'm paused at 31:47 and I suspect the mixture is going to be super-thick, as peanut butter sets Cool Whip pretty solidly, and would probably be best eaten with a spoon if it were chilled (if you froze it, it could be a pie filling). But I just want to share a tip: when adding cool whip or whipped cream to a denser mixture, add 1/3 to 1/2 of the whip to the denser mixture and stir that in first, as it will lighten the mixture and allow the remaining whip to be stirred or folded in more easily and in less time, with less streaking, and with less loss of air volume. The pairing with the salty pretzel sounds perfect, and their texture means they won't break off when dipping and scooping.
A suggestion- try browning the corn for that dip in butter or oil. It adds so much flavor to the corn. We also do that for corn in salads, soups, and other dishes.
I used to make this cheesecake dip, mix cream cheese & cool whip, powdered sugar, vanilla, whip it in mixer or blender, top with pie filling of choice. Dip graham crackers, pretzels, teddy grahams etc !
That cheeseburger dip was on point! And reading the ingredient list of that Colonna Citrus Garlic seasoning makes me want to try it, and I'm going to have to ask my parents in the U.S. to pick me up a bottle.
These are all so amazing! I'm usually not a big cheeseburger fan, but MAN did that dip look 🔥🔥 I have to say that as a hummus lover, making hummus at home has been so much more cost-effective than getting storebought. Not only can you control the ingredients, but even if you do opt for things like tahini and fresh lemon juice, you can get 3-4 times as much hummus for your dollar as you would with storebought. 😋
Great job! People could buy the Dollar Tree dips and doctor them up. I wonder if you added a little bit of liquid smoke to the Mexican Street Corn dip if that would make it a bit more authentic tasting. My sister and I were talking about trying to make Mexican Street Corn side dish and even Mexican Street Corn Chowder the other day and we plan to drain our canned corn and "roast" it in an iron skillet. Mexican Street Corn and potato Chowder might be a yummy meal? I've lived in both California and Texas in the past, love Mexican Street Corn. I also love the sliced Mangos the vendors sell sprinkled with Tajin, that spice is the bomb for fruit. I put it on peaches, pineapple and watermelon. I have a recipe for a great fruit dip. It's vanilla custard or vanilla pudding based, uses a pkg of pudding mix made with half the milk called for and chilled in the fridge, add some unreconstituted frozen orange, lime or apple juice concentrate. Add 1/4 tsp vanilla extract. Mix all that together then fold in a tub of cool whip. It's really good, perfect with fruit. In my family we call it Mildred's fruit dip because a neighbor I had decades ago gave me the recipe after I had it with fruit at her family BBQ. You can also dice up fruit, mix it with the dip and serve it in individual portions at a brunch.
As always, excellent content! I loved it when you said ‘I kind of use recipes more as a guide’… that’s exactly the way to approach cooking…we ain’t ever going to the store for one ingredient. 🤭 Nice to meet your partner. 💕
I will do anything to avoid going to the store, moving to a rural area made that even more clear lol so I've gotten very good at using what I have and just doing my own thing but using recipes more as a "idea"
I add a splash or more of the pickle juice. I make a cheeseburger Mac one pan that when I add the pasta in I replace some of the water with the juice and leave out some salt. I also don't like tomatoes that much and leave them out and others can use as a topper. I also will soak dried onion in some of the juice and put that in even if I used fresh onions.
I appreciate all the effort you put into this content. I think my favorite recipe was the cheeseburger dip. It reminds me of a cheeseburger soup I like making. The only thing I would do differently would be to use the bacon grease and ground beef drippings to make a roux in place of the cream cheese. Then build the base of the dip from there.
If you use the French onion dip, try adding a bit of beef bouillon to it. There wasn't any in the package when you read the ingredients. Beef bouillon is in the Lipton onion soup mix ♡
So i used to make hummus at work like 4 days a week for a year and the best way to get the skin off are to put the chickpeas in a strainer and run it under lukewarm watter while rubbing the chickpeas through your fingers, i recommend having another strainer at the bottom of the sink to catch the shells. Also, you should get an immersion blender, they are AMAZING for sauces and hummus!
If you use dried chick peas instead of canned- you can soak the chick peas with some baking soda before cooking. It helps the skins come off easily. The you can just skim them out of the water.
I've never tried soaking canned chick peas like that, but I guess you could? And then soak in fresh water to leach the baking soda back out. Worth testing.. 🤔 @dollartreedinners
I feel like sauteing the canned corn before adding it to the rest of the ingredients could help to add a little more depth of flavor if you get some color on it in the pan
Great video! You should try adding the onion dip to a casserole recipe as a flavor enhancer and to add some creaminess. Another tip is to top a casserole with dabs of butter (or margarine) then sprinkle parmesan cheese on top and stick it under the broiler until the cheese browns up. It adds a nice flavor and texture. Keep experimenting! ❤
These all look amazing! That hummus is definitely on my list to try out as soon as possible! I think that dessert dip would make a great chilled pie inside a graham cracker crust, too.
Rebecca and the Dollarrers (I made this word up and can't even pronounce it hehehe) In my fanatical pursuit of saving money I would probably have put hot water over the beef crumble, tasting til it was the flavor I wanted, and using that water to do a light beef stock for later. When i do make my stocks I have them unsalted so I could also put one of my heated stocks (beef chicken pork etc) over the beef crumble again tasting til it's the way I want it and putting aside my stock for later use. Julia Child talks about getting rid of the 'canned taste'. she recommends cooking any any canned food for 15 minutes or so and that usually does the trick. read the ingredients list if you're avoiding some chemical in particular. Dipping corn into corn is a Latin American sport hehehe. When I make corn bread I use yellow corn meal, a can of corn and it's liquid plus salt, leavening and butter. If you don't like sesame (I toast my own) you can substitute other nuts-seeds. Cashews, Peanuts, sunflower, pumpkin (pepitas), walnut, pecan etc any change you make will change the flavor so experiment to see what you like best. (oil is a logical sub for tahini...) My general rule of thumb for improving a canned dish that I find lacking, is to put an equal amount of fresh ingredients. for Example a friend had an insipid red sauce and a Fridge full of veg. So I roasted onion chili garlic tomatoes in the oven with a bit of salt and oil and blended it up with the jarred sauce and it was very good, (so they told me hehehe) Nut spreads are counter intuitive...water (the cool whip) thickens them up. Oil thins them out. (a Bit of bitter chocolate would help balance out the sweetness, or toasted ground nuts) Shout out to Mike our official taste tester. We all cook for our loved ones. Hugs to you all. Enjoy the snacks. Jim Mexico
We used to make French Onion Soup by mixing a packet (or two) of French Onion Soup in a package of sour cream and a few hours in the fridge. Thank you for the video!
Rebecca, you can't make this from Doolar Tree but Walmart has produce. When avocados are on sale - buy 2 avocados, 1 tomato, 1 onion, either lemon or lime juice, and either basil or cilantro. Chop the avocados, the tomato, and 1/2the onion. Toss with citrus juice and 1-2 teaspoons of badil or cilantro. Let chill covered for 30 minutes to an hour. Serve with tortilla chips. Another easy dip is 16 oz sour cream and 1 envelope Italian dessing mix. Mix and let sit at least an hour.
Years ago, my mom saw a "shortcut" in some magazine to make guacamole, just by mixing together a mashed avocado and store-bought salsa (I'm thinking maybe 2 cups salsa to 1 avocado?). It was certainly not the prettiest mixture, but the flavors were very good: sort of a fresher, lighter guacamole perfect with chips, compared to the heavier, creamier ones that some restaurants serve. (A perfect guacamole is somewhere between the 2, IMO!)
I can't remember if this is the video in which you said that you like sesame oil in Asian dishes when at a restaurant, but not when homemade. I was trying to think of a reason why this could be, and I have a theory: I think you're cooking with it. The flavour of dark/toasted/roasted sesame oil is very strong, and can develop a burnt taste if high heat is used, so it isn't intended as a cooking oil. Light sesame oils are much milder and can be used for sauteing, but it's not typically used for cooking because there are much cheaper oils available. In Asian cooking, when sesame oil is included in a dish, it's the dark kind, and it's used as a finishing oil, or as part of a condiment/dip, or part of a sauce that the food will be tossed in either very briefly in the wok just before serving or in a separate bowl.🍜🥡💯
I love these! I don’t like corn but I do like experimenting with texture and I think that if you are willing to put in a little bit more time you could fry/ roast the corn first and then mix everything together! For the Hazelnut spread, try whipping it with a hand mixer to help emulsify it. I do this whenever I get natural peanut butter from my food pantry and it helps with not having to stir it every time I want to eat some and also I feel like it can double it a little bit giving you more bank for your buck. Love your videos and and your energy ❤
Ok. I haven't gotten thru all the comments so far, but I've had good results with the sweet dips by adding a bit of sour cream. It mellows the sweet a bit, just like in cheesecake. Although, im not sure if there is a non dairy or DT version. Great vid btw!
Your hubby is so cute! I've never heard of cheeseburger dip. I think I would love it! We always add water to the hummous when blending. The tahini actually makes it thicker. ☺ The bagel chips are a great idea. I think another great pairing would be to buy the thin large pizza crust, cut it and bake it slightly. It will be like pita bread! You did a great job having only DT items and Love your presentation!
Our Dollar General carries marshmallow fluff and omg that would be an amazing addition to the dessert dip! I didn’t notice onions in the cheeseburger dip and sesame seeds would be a great topper! TY so much for the video and inspiration! ❤
This has inspired me to send out my Superbowl invites! I’m 100% making the cheeseburger dip. I might have to make it tonight just as a trial run. Excellent recipes😊
You could have cooked/warmed the corn in a pan before assembling and adding other ingredients. Slightly brown/ blister some of the corn a LITTLE BIT. I think that would elevate the flavor of your dip!!
I regularly add minded onions, onion powder & a bit of butter to a can, or two... of drained green beans. Let what liquid is left evaporate/cook in/ with the butter & next level yum! Try it with green bean casserole too! Seriously... please try this :)
I have done a similar dip to the cheeseburger one, but in a crockpot and made sloppy joes. Kid favorite in my house. My daughter also makes hummus all the time. If you simmer the canned chick peas a bit, it makes the flavor warm and comforting. And you can do a teaspoon or 2 of peanut butter to replace tahini. Loved all the dip ideas.
Bacon bits would do in a pinch. You wouldn't have the bacon fat but it would have a bacon flavor in the end result. I thought cool whip was non dairy as opposed to the can of whipped topping that you buy in the dairy coolers (redi whip)?
If you want the smoky flavor from the grilled corn and you have it on hand, a dash of liquid smoke will do the trick. I prefer hickory, but they have Applewood and mesquite flavors as well. Literally a drop or 2 will do ya, adding too much will overpower it. I know it's not a dollar tree item, but a bottle lasta a LONG time and can really elevate so many dishes.
Now your into my favorite, chips and dip! I used to make a kind of pizza dip from Dollar Tree ingredients, been a while back though. I'm very much going to be trying the cheese burger dip soon. And on a note of snack foods, have you tried roasted chick peas? Very delicious.
I was thinking about making a pizza dip! the new pizza sauce they got at dollar tree looks a little on the thin side. I do love roasted chick peas! I don't make them very often though
If you broil the corn for a minute or two to get that grilled taste beforehand that would help a lot to make it taste more like street corn. Also using cotija cheese instead of Parmesan would help too
Yah about the cheese but the Dollar Tree doesn't sell that, these were Dollar Tree recipes. The street corn recipe needs Mayo too and they do have that at Dollar Tree.
All I can say is I’m super excited to try making the cheeseburger and the hummus!! Hummus with crispy raw carrot chips is a go to for me as a diabetic! And I adore the idea of the cheeseburger dip, maybe I can have it on a raw veggie or a pork rind! Also your hazelnut dip made me think, what if I did the two ingredient fudge with the hazelnut and icing, versus the peanut butter. That peanut butter fudge recipe saved Christmas!!
Your face lit up when Michael liked the dip. You are so gracious and special, Rebecca. Love your channel.
I was so proud it turned out the way I wanted it to!
So nice to see your partner on for once.Hope he comes on more as taste tester.
He was darling

I always look for them at dollar tree and had a hard time getting them but found some yesterday. I don’t use them all the time but like having them on hand
The moisture in the dip rehydrates the onions ✌️
good to know

I like that your channel is just a normal person making normal food. I feel like you are actually giving useful and realistic advice.
I feel exactly the way you do. She eats like my husband and I.
I think the hamburger dip can be used on top of a baked potato that would be delicious!
Someone else suggested pasta. Both EXCELLENT ideas.
also use Utz potato chips for the chip. Head explode. LOL
Great idea!
Oh yes it would.
Instead of a charcuterie board, I can see a spread of all four dips with various dippers such as tortilla chips, potato chips, pretzel rods, bagel chips and graham crackers. Another great video, Rebecca. Loved every minute of it!
Yes that's a great idea dip board 👍🏽
That also is good idea.
He's such a cutie! Tell him we appreciate his input!
I will, thank you!
He is adorable.
These look amazing! For the street corn dip, I would suggest charring the corn in the pan before adding the rest of the ingredients. Just make sure the corn is dried off really well or it will pop all over the kitchen...+
Just the thing I wondered about doing. Thanks for the tip about drying it first!
I was thinking the same thing or spread on a sheet pan and put it under the broiler to get the charring.
This or sometimes there's canned corn that's roasted! I'm not sure if all dollar trees carry it, but I've seen some cans floating around before. I've also seen a santa fe mix with onions/black beans and roasted corn in the frozen aisle that would be good too!
I like when you do taste tests on items. Saves us from wasting money on not so good food.
Agreed.
Did she say "I wung it" as past tense for winging it?!!? OMG I love her!!😂😂😂
She looks GLOWING in this vid ✨️
I know! Her hair is gorgeous!
Can you imagine adding macaroni noddle's to that Cheese Burger Dip? That would be a bomb ass dinner!!
now I feel like I certainly must make a cheeseburger pasta ;)
Dang... Big Mac Pasta... that's excellent.
😮 Oh, Oh…that’s so done! ✔️ Thank you!
Yum
Or rice even!
woo hoo ! as he lives and breathes !!! so happy we got to see Michael ...lol💕
Another flavor true Mexican street corn has is Mayonnaise. And you could get a little char, if you toast your corn in the pan first.
Of course. That's a great tip!
And they do sell little Heinz Mayo jars at dollar tree.
For the cheeseburger dip, you could easily turn it into a meal by adding some cooked elbow macaroni and make a DIY hamburger helper. 🙂
oh that's an idea! cheeseburger pasta! i might borrow that ;)
I made my own version of Turkey Helper last night. Asian inspired made homemade stir fry sauce. It was really good and easy. Your idea is even better.
For the onion dip, you can add a splash of worstershire sauce to thin it a bit and season it as well.
great tip!
I make a street corn dip very similar to this. I pan sear the corn in a skillet with a little butter before adding the rest of the ingredients. It really adds the "roasted" corn flavor you said you were missing. Love the dips! I can't wait to try the cheeseburger recipe!
That's the first time I have ever seen your husband. He loved your dip. How sweet.
I was thinking the same. I'll bet she puts her shopping cart back as well. That's one of my predictors on if someone is a good person, lol.
I put my cart back before I even finish checking out lol I hand carry my groceries to my car ;)
For nut butters - sore upside down overnight (or more) then flip it back, open, and mix. The oil seeps through while it’s upside down and makes it much easier! These dips look bomb, and I can’t wait to try them!
If you feel like the Mexican Corn Dip could use some smokiness, your followers could dry a bit of smoked paprika if they happen to have it.
Oh that's a good idea, I suggested liquid smoke. I have both so I can taste test when I make Rebecca's dip.
Chipotle powder also works really well. I can usually find it for much cheaper than smoked paprika, but that may differ depending on where you're located.
Our Dollar tree has a chipotle lime spice blend that I add to my street corn dip.
I'm making a fiesta dip, it's 1 cup sour cream, a couple tablespoons of mayo, 1/2 cup Shredded cheddar cheese, few dashes hot sauce, and equivalent of one packet ranch seasoning
Blend all ingredients in a bowl and serve with chips of choice
Girl! Did you say..."WUNG IT"? LOL. Love it ❤
If you soak the chick peas in salted water, the skins will easily fall off. Or you can use baking soda but the chick peas may become a bit mushy.
On the onion dip, add a packet from the ramen noodles ♡ Beef is what Id use.
Yay, Michael made an appearance.! What a great video, all of the dips looked amazing. And thanks for "taking one for the team" by trying the avocado-adjacent dip 💛
He finally came on camera ❤ what a perfect looking couple you two are!
Yummy!
Few things tastier than naan, so good.
Oh boy that looks good!
Great recipes so I know you were excited love you
Do you have any ham radio operators in the area? May check out to see if there are any nearby towers for interference. 😊
Not only did you make a great cheeseburger dip, but you created a new word- “wong”😁
I laughed at that!😂
We make a black bean "hummus" also without the tahini. We use lime juice, garlic, green chilies and a drizzle of olive oil.

I think Dollar Tree used to sell a "nut butter" but I haven't seen it in a long time ✌️
That dessert dip would be awesome with apples 😍😍
I love hummus.I know you are talking dollar store stuff But i always buy dried chickpeas cook them myself and freeze them cooked in "can" sized portions as i prefer the taste/ texture to the canned and they are cheaper. I also never have Tahini so i use peanut butter instead different flavor but gives me the right texture? Love it on toast too!
I've been obsessed with this hummus since I made it (on tuesday), I'm still working my way through it, I've been spreading it on wraps with cucumbers and tomatoes too.
I bet you could use almond butter or cashew butter too. Almond butter sounds like a winner to me.
Everything looks delicious! We make a street corn dip similar to this but we always fry/toast the corn up before adding in the other stuff.
😻 ❤ Holy crabby patties! I can definitely see the cheeseburger dip on fries, too, like chili cheese fries or tots 🤤 ❤ 😻 thanks so much!:
I can see firing up my mini-slow cooker (1.5 qt. or so) for that cheeseburger dip. And the Street Corn one sounds amazing with the lime juice. Yum.
The subtle, more soft makeup suits you so much. Great video and ideas!!!!
A suggestion- try browning the corn for that dip in butter or oil. It adds so much flavor to the corn. We also do that for corn in salads, soups, and other dishes.
That first dip looks so amazing. I can't wait to try it.
He does have a face!!!! So nice to "meet" him 😊😊😊
These are all so amazing! I'm usually not a big cheeseburger fan, but MAN did that dip look 🔥🔥
I have to say that as a hummus lover, making hummus at home has been so much more cost-effective than getting storebought.
I've never seen dried chick peas at dollar tree but that's a great suggestion! :)
I've never tried soaking canned chick peas like that, but I guess you could? And then soak in fresh water to leach the baking soda back out. Worth testing.. 🤔 @dollartreedinners
I love roasted red pepper hummus and now I know I can make it with affordable ingredients and in a larger amount- thank you!
it was so good, I've been eating it since I made it (tuesday) and I've even been putting it on veggie wraps.
@@DollarTreeDinners I can't wait to make it myself!
Oooohhhh that sounds good!
(oil is a logical sub for tahini...)
My general rule of thumb for improving a canned dish that I find lacking, is to put an equal amount of fresh ingredients. for Example a friend had an insipid red sauce and a Fridge full of veg. So I roasted onion chili garlic tomatoes in the oven with a bit of salt and oil and blended it up with the jarred sauce and it was very good, (so they told me hehehe)
Nut spreads are counter intuitive...water (the cool whip) thickens them up. Oil thins them out. (a Bit of bitter chocolate would help balance out the sweetness, or toasted ground nuts)
Shout out to Mike our official taste tester. We all cook for our loved ones. Hugs to you all. Enjoy the snacks. Jim Mexico
We used to make French Onion Soup by mixing a packet (or two) of French Onion Soup in a package of sour cream and a few hours in the fridge. Thank you for the video!
If you are wanting to add a smokey flavor to the sorn dip, you can add some smoked paprika to mimic that flavor. These all sound really good!!
That last sweet dip would pair well with apple pieces or even celery sticks.
Love all your ideas and thanks for explaining your rationale!
Thank you! I'll keep those in mind when I do non dollar tree recipes!
You can always add smoked paprika to corn dip to add smoky flavor! Love your videos so much! Thank you!
I made the mexican corn ,and the big Mac dip. Had the family over playing board games . Was a big hit. Thank you
When your Honey walked into the room and tried your dip, I got Valentine’s Day vibes. You crazy kids! Thanks for a great video!
Our Dollar General carries marshmallow fluff and omg that would be an amazing addition to the dessert dip! I didn’t notice onions in the cheeseburger dip and sesame seeds would be a great topper! TY so much for the video and inspiration! ❤
I’m with you on the sesame oil but when I do a stir fry I do put just a dab in it otherwise I don’t like it and it doesn’t take a lot
that dessert dip looked amazing. Probably would make a great pie filling too
To get the smokey flavor to the street corn dip, you could add a half teaspoon of smoked paprika or a half to a full teaspoon of liquid smoke.
You can’t buy either of those ingredients at dollar tree unfortunately
@@DollarTreeDinners I haven't gotten to try the new pizza sauce yet. May plan an evening of pizza and a movie my next weekend off.
I'm supremely impressed! Everyone of those ideas look so tasty! Definitely will be trying them. Thank you!
Thanks for recipes. They all looked tasty.
