So, I had a video idea- don’t know if you’re open to them! How about recreating viral TikTok foods using dollar tree ingredients. I had this idea when I saw you use the salmon in your Valentine’s Day dinner. You could do the Emily Mariko salmon bowl, the dalgona coffee, the pancake cereal, etc.
Just adding my vote for 2 reasons... 1 - I am not on TikTok so I "miss" all those going viral recipes and more importantly 2 - Rebecca your videos would be so much better!!!
My house was the party house in high school, we had movie night or a bonfire almost every Friday. My friends would come help me clean the house and set up for the party and my dad would give us like $30 and we'd head to Dollar Tree! It was exactly like this!! Chips and salsa, cheese puffs, pizza rolls or the little "party pizzas", and back then they had 3L bottles of Faygo (peach Faygo is the BOMB)! The first or 2nd time we went we also got a few table cloths, and some big plastic bowls for the chips and stuff and we used them every time after and felt so fancy! Such a good memory! Thanks Rebecca!
I know this isn't top of mind for a lot of people, but some dollar trees actually have a decent selection of seeds and home gardening supplies as we go into spring. If you have the countertop space or windowsill space, it's super easy to grow things like parsley, cilantro, basil, etc. chives, from seeds. Adding that stuff to premade dips/sauces packs a huge punch flavor wise. I admit I'm not the superbowl party demographic haha but I love these foods too and it's fun to dress them up.
When I did a lot of community theater, I would offer to cater the cast parties, because it can be really overwhelming for people who aren't used to putting food out for a crowd. I'd always make one or two things from scratch, but then everything else was pre-made, like meatballs in a jarred sauce in crock pots, or appetizers like you made. Arrangement and presentation are so important when feeding a crowd. Almost anything looks festive and fancy on the right plate in the right arrangement.
During my 20 years of volunteering for our local music festival, I used to say our crew's unofficial motto was, "Site Crew. We lift heavy things for food.". 😉 I appreciate the kitchen crews, especially the Platter Crew. Emergency nurses who prepared the platters to feed the performers and stage crew backstage (8 stages), and for the volunteer after parties. Thank you to you and yours for keeping us fed.
Growing up we always had Tony's Pizza in the freezer. We hardly ever ordered delivery pizza and it made a quick lunch in the summer for us kids or a late night treat on a Friday or Saturday night. I like to buy the grape Crush in the 1 liter bottle from Dollar Tree, I don"t drink much pop since I am not a fan of the carbination, but I do like a glass every once in awhile and a 1 liter will last me for a few weeks,. I like mine flat so it doesn't bother me if it goes flat. I will actually shake the bottle to make it flat or drink it with lots of ice.
What a great idea! Especially the little kids. It would be a treat for them and in my experience they eat so little we have tossed out so much food in past after birthday parties 🥳
My 16 year old eats the mozz sticks with a salad on nights when he is not interested in what I am making. He always says the others are better-tasting but he likes the ease and convenience of the portion size in the bag. He tosses them in the air fryer while he makes his salad, and his dinner is done quickly. I think, I will ask if he wants me to add some basil and/or garlic next time he makes them. Thank you again for another video, we are about to leave for a convention next week and I am making your homemade lunchables for our lunches.
D&D or other game nights in with friends, everyone hops in the car or throws $5 or $10 in the kitty to head to Dollar Tree or Family Dollar to gather ample munchies for the festivities. It's also a better variety of flavor sensation than a run of a mill pizza delivery.
Great ideas, hotdogs also great for kids, with Mac and cheese, baked beans. How about doing a kids birthday menu video from dollar tree. Love your channel and your positivity. So glad to see your channel is growing so quickly❤
I recently learned that McDonald's sells a birthday cake. I think it's a frozen sheet cake And I think Trader Joe's also has a cake. I haven't gone to see myself.i can't remember what the price was. Probably cheaper to bake your own.
I really love your content. During COVID, I ended up living in an extended stay hotel and money was very very tight. Sometimes I’d only have $3-$5 a day to feed myself. Dollar tree was my go-to and I kept searching for meal ideas or tips/tricks online but struggled to find content. I love that you are doing this! I wish I had discovered you sooner! ❤
You could dip the taco bites into the spicy salsa. And maybe you could give the mozzarella sticks more flavor before baking by putting gatlic butter on them or Italian seasoning or something like that
If you haven’t tried the Golden Home ultra thin pizza crusts from Dollar Tree you should give them the Rebecca treatment. I think they are great. I use them to make pepperoni pizza, margarita pizza, chicken bbq pizza, etc.
As a broke mother you have no idea how much I love your channel! I’m pretty new here but I am hooked! These budget holiday meals are DELICIOUS and GENIUS ❤❤
Great video! I just ordered groceries for our Superbowl party, with my daughter, son in-law, 3 grandkids, and their inlaws, from Walmart. I did add some extra candy to fill up my candy jars, but it cost $130+!!! My daughter is making serial dishes as well! I ordered the snapps jalapeno poppers you used. Walmart sells them for $1.24, 1 cent cheaper than dollar tree! Groceries are expensive!! I ordered 2 boxes of ghiridelli brownie mix and vanilla bean ice cream, for small brownie sundaes!
Love the cheap eats videos. Showing how you can really do anything on a budget from Super Bowl party to holiday meal, spend way less but still have nice food. I love the full review of items it helps me not spend money to try something like jalapeño bites- I don’t like spicy personally and most aren’t hot/spicy so when someone like you who likes spice says it’s spicy I don’t get it for myself, for a gathering that’s different. Thanks for helping us navigate saving money but having tasty eats and showing us how to create similar foods with DT items!
I was just thinking the other day about being back in college and getting poppers and mozz sticks from the late night snack bar all the time. They charged like 5x what these cost and look to be almost the exact same product. I'll definitely be checking these out next time I want to scratch that itch!
Great variety on a budget! I love it! People don't have to spend outrageous prices on items and still have a good amount of foods and variety for fractions of the cost.
I wanted to Post a photo but it wouldn’t let me. I made the chili dip and the cheeseburger dip, the jalapeño poppers, spring rolls and lobster veggie shrimp egg rolls, spicy chicken nugget sliders, garlic bread pizzas, the French onion dip with veggies and chips and the crunch and munch bugle mix. It was a huge hit everyone loved it!
I know you like to thaw foods before cooking when you can, but with the mozzerella sticks specifically, cooking from frozen helps a bit to keep them from exploding cheese everywhere since it doesn't melt as fast or as much by the time the outside is nicely cooked! I've also found frying in oil they explode a lot less than baking dry, though of course that adds extra fat and calories to them.
The 3 liter soda has recently been reduced to 2 liter sodas (shrink-flation) at my local Dollar Trees and now they only sell loaves of bread for $2.50. So, sometimes it’s now cheaper to go to Walmart, especially with sales and coupons.
So much for $1.25 at Dollar Tree. My store is now charging $1.75 for 1 liter soda and $1.50 for the reading glasses. I guess you just don’t know how much it is until you get to the register. 🤷♀️
The only sodas that are $1.75 are the brand name ones (coke, Pepsi) the Stars and Stripes are still $1.25 along with the 4 packs of cans Coke and Pepsi are vendor products, dollar tree does not control those prices, the two items you mention (soda and glasses) are as far as I’m aware the only items that are higher than $1.25 (beyond helium balloons and the plus section of $3, $4, and $5 items) so I think you just got unlucky and happened to purchase the couple of items that increased recently enough.
Rebecca , Mike and sports partiers everywhere, If you find a canned (tinned) salsa too piquant or Not piquant enough you can pan roast anything you think is missing in the oven with the appetizers, oil them a little bit. you can also dry roast them in a skillet or comal (if you have one) on top of the stove. Then just blend the canned sauce with the new ingredients, season to taste and enjoy. You'll also find that using some fresh ingredients improves the flavor of canned sauces. When there's no tomato sauce you could dip the mozzarella sticks in Red sauce. I always have a bottle of mineral water with gas in the cupboard just in case someone looses their effervescence. Have fun watching the ball fly around Jim Mexico
Hi Rebecca, just wanted to say I really like how you did this video in tiers.! That was a fantastic idea and very helpful!... doesn't even have to be Superbowl, could just be a fun family night . I love the Snapp appetizers. The loaded potato bites are my favorite.
Thank you so much for this video! You are so creative! 🤩🥳 most people I know are on a budget and this makes it possible to have a fun party without breaking the bank 😊
I get Tony’s pizzas sometimes, and I got the jalapeño poppers like last week. I enjoy them. Yes they are a bit spicy lol. I haven’t seen the Buffalo Chicken bites or the Taco bites yet at my Dollar Tree. I’ll have to look for those next time. Not ashamed to shop at Dollar Tree, we need it in this Economy!
If I was at your party I'd be dipping the moz sticks in the salsa. :) And if you chill the soda first it will loose less of the fizz - I'd just lay the bottles in a giant bowl of ice on your buffet.
So my husband and I had a 2 person Super Bowl Commercial Party as a result of this. Didn’t do the whole thing (I wanted to have Hawaiian roll sliders with it) but got the cheese sticks, “poppers”, potato sticks and onion dip from the other video. Keeping in mind what you said I sprayed “Pam” on the cheese sticks and sprinkled Italian seasoning on them and added onion powder to the dip and both were pretty good. The other 2 were okay but don’t know that I would buy them again.
That looks very doable for my husband and I. We really don’t have people over. It is just something I didn’t think we could afford to do. Thank you so much for showing me. We can still do it on our budget.
For me this is a no go...being gluten free sucks. But there are lots of things now, only problem is the prices...and I control my health problems with my diet, and getting older your tummy kind of becomes like a child's and you can't just eat what you like. More just whole some , home cooked foods. Like meat , potatoes and veggies...and a light dessert.
The problem with an all Dollar Tree menu, as many realize, is it's challenging to not get overloaded on sodium. I won't even mention all the transfat, corn syrup and sugar. 😉 So maybe take $3 and buy a bag of baby carrots and a bunch of celery you can cut into sticks to munch. They'd both be great with the ranch or alone. I personally would need to bring my own food as I gave up gluten. It's really inflammatory, I feel better without it. So I'd be the guest bring "alternative" snacks. Gluten-free cauliflower crusted pizza anyone? 😊 Nice suggestions for presentation. It really makes a difference, elevates food to party status.
Oh my goodness! When I saw the crunch and munch 😊and tortilla chips 😊I was sold! I’ll be doing a hybrid DT and Publix Super Bowl! I have to have my rotel queso dip!
Wow, this would also be great for a Valentine's Day Meal, for my daughter and myself. Atleast quite abit of this, would be great. It would be what we would eat all day.. maybe even have leftover for the next day. That would be wonderful! 😊
I just bought those same mozzarella sticks at a store called Save-a-lot. They were only about .40 cents more and I haven't tried them yet. Thank you so much, now I know that they're actually good and I think I'll add some Italian seasoning to them before baking.
Great video! Not all have to be hard “cooking” ones, if you are entertaining this is exactly what people are wanting and expecting. Glad for a review of the peanuts, I’ve been curious about them and will definitely get some to try (Walmart/Aldi/Lidl in my area have the jars for $2.48)
Some of the stars and stripes sodas have artificial sweetner along with the high fructose corn syrup and are not labeled diet. Just in case you were wondering why they taste strange, or are trying to avoid artificial sweeteners.
I love Tony’s pizza I wish it were still only $2.50 but that’s not a bad prize at dollar tree it’s cheaper than buying all of the ingredients to make your own that’s for sure.
You did a great job! Are you willing to do a Dollar Tree/Walmart where you get some fresh veggies from Walmart and the rest from Dollar Tree to make a special meal? It could be a date night, a birthday, or a celebration meal.
The Tony's Meat Trio are our favorite frozen pizza but the regular grocery stores stopped carrying them or at least that flavor and they are more than double that price so thank you for letting me know the DT carries them and for only $4!!! If you like a thin, crispy crust these are amazing!
Thanks so much for this video! I've often wondered about some of these snack foods- are they decent or better than decent lol. I appreciate you taking one for the frugal team and giving us an honest review. Same with the previous Super Bowl video with the review of the dips! You rock!
I'm a pretty picky eater and there's actually a lot of stuff here I would be happy to have. I think you did a good job of including stuff for lots of different preferences!
I can't believe this is a $30 spread nice work! Also, when entertaining it is better to keep nuts and peanuts in their own bowls. A lot of people have a slight nut allergy and so them not touching the chips is probably a better idea all in all.
This is a great spread. I have bot the mozzarella sticks, loaded potatoes and jalapeno bites from DG but I deep fried them. So good especially the loaded potato sticks. I suggest buying the "old school" dried onion mix and add it to sour cream for the best french onion dip and for the best flavor ❤
Wow that is so much food for $30, jealous over here in Australia. Something I love is to layer salsa & onion dip, sometimes I serve it heated up. You have done another fabulous video, thank you.
This is really SUPER. What a good variety of snack foods. For the cost you really nailed it. You also could have done a Mexican layer dip. Which I know that you can get everything at DT. Thanks again Rebecca.

I use their seeds and they grow good!!!!
I've been replenishing my seeds too. I still have a lot left from last year but there are a few I need. I'm glad to hear Dollar Tree has them out!
Sooo true❤❤❤❤ thanks for this
If you have a garden, even the veggie seeds they have never steered wrong and always grew in well.
good advice thank you!

You did a great job! Are you willing to do a Dollar Tree/Walmart where you get some fresh veggies from Walmart and the rest from Dollar Tree to make a special meal? It could be a date night, a birthday, or a celebration meal.
Yay to 180 likes and top 11 comments. Love this channel. Best to you and your family. Thanks for making this video.
Thank you as always!
I find salsa is actually yummier with mozzarella sticks versus marinara!
The Tony's Meat Trio are our favorite frozen pizza but the regular grocery stores stopped carrying them or at least that flavor and they are more than double that price so thank you for letting me know the DT carries them and for only $4!!! If you like a thin, crispy crust these are amazing!
I enjoyed this video. I have a teenage boy and been wanting to try all those appetizers but always wondered how they are. We both love snacks lol. 😊
The same menu from Dominos delivered…$379
Sounds about right lol
Jalapeño jelly for cheese sticks and pepper bites
Thanks!
Thank you!
I've not tried the Tony's brand of pizza, but it looked really good!
Thanks so much for this video! I've often wondered about some of these snack foods- are they decent or better than decent lol. I appreciate you taking one for the frugal team and giving us an honest review. Same with the previous Super Bowl video with the review of the dips! You rock!
Absolutely!!
Awesome spread! That looks so good, I’d be happy to take part in this Super Bowl party spread!
Another idea is to buy the smoked sausage and cut it into bite sized pieces and add bbq sauce. $2.50.
Watched on my husband's acct- well done! Will maybe get some poppers mmmm . The name brand soda is smaller, but it would be fine.
Another idea is you can use pizza sauce instead of ranch
Wow that is so much food for $30, jealous over here in Australia. Something I love is to layer salsa & onion dip, sometimes I serve it heated up. You have done another fabulous video, thank you.
Cost of living in Australia is crazy definitely
Love your videos
Well done Rebecca! Perfect for any party, kids or adults.
I LOVE Aldi's buttermilk ranch dip and salad dressing. It's the only ranch dressing I buy..awesome!
Your videos are fantastic. I really learn a lot and you encourage me with great ideas. Thank you.
Love your videos, thank you for sharing ❤
This is really SUPER. What a good variety of snack foods. For the cost you really nailed it. You also could have done a Mexican layer dip. Which I know that you can get everything at DT. Thanks again Rebecca.
Good job! This looks so festive and fun 🎉
Thank you!! 😊
It's very smart to use parchment for the apps/snacks. Nothing sticks to it! And it is cheaper than foil, at least in my area.
As always you delivered 👍 great. This would be great for birthday party too. Thank you so much.❤ 💓 God 🙌 🙌 bless all here.
This made me wish I had Dollar Tree. It was a great spread!
