I love Ariel, she's so well-spoken and creative! The research on this is amazing - as a (kind of) minimalist myself I didn't expect to learn this much from A Style Is Born and it was fantastic! Keep it coming, Wayfair!
I love this series so much! Ariel does such a wonderful job making the history of the design style exciting and accessible, and the video is just so beautifully done. I hope for many more of these!
The minimalist esthetic in your home is a way to create a calming respite from a hectic and chaotic world. I don’t necessarily care for the design of minimalistic furniture because it isn’t visually inviting as compared to an over stuffed chair. However, I do like the concept of having fewer things that are personal and meaningful, along with the beauty and warmth of natural materials that are well crafted. Loved this videos presentation.
I adore Ariel. She is fantastic at interviewing and explaining the different styles. I love a cozy cottage -style , but with a minimalist -boho twist. Cottagey, furnishings, lots of white wood walls, but not a lot of stuff. Plants and just a tiny bit of macrame (and no knick knacks or clutter). I call it "Cottminbo", LOL.
Great job talking about Minimalism both as an aesthetic and as a lifestyle! Ariel is interesting, knowledgeable, humorous and seems very personable and genuine as well!! Loved the video Ariel! I hope Wayfair continues to ask you for many more!
I love the way your cameras are displayed, but yet functional. Think I’ll do that with mine. I always ask myself before a purchase. Is this need or a want?
My place, is a mix of Nouveau, Modèrne (deco), boho with extra clutter, and Minimal if the clutter was absent. I’d go for full Minimal but love all my unnecessary stuff
Ironically, this video makes me want to buy all the furniture minis to decorate my house 😅 But a fun fact that I just learned, I live the town where Frank Stella is from, and they have a few cool murals dedicated to him.

That style is not for me. I love vintage, old world, cottage decor, and books. But if you like it that's great.
The name "Mies" is pronounced "meece" ☺️
