You have such a beautiful soul. I could have been that mom. But I have a husband that stood by me & got me help. Pills gone, but my soul was still broken. Until last December… I heard a NF song, then took the journey. It changed my life. When he released Happy on Good Friday, I cried for hours. It healed me. I went back to church for the first time in 20 years. My life is so different now.
I’m praying for healing during this hard time.

I wish I could of done that for my little cousin Louie who last year committed suicide she through herself in front of a train and she was only 14 years old she died in October 2022 . She didn’t have a good life at home her mother was a worthless mother who didn’t care about her at all but cared for her other children and her father wasn’t around he didn’t wanna know so half her life she lived in a children’s home and even sister didn’t wanna know her at all . And my cousin Terence he committed suicide the day after my grandmother died in July 2022 and In January 2022 my cousin Elizabeth committed suicide

Bro. Being a parent is so hard. I have a daughter who has attempted suicide 3 times. Watching her hooked up to all those tubes. My son is in and out of jail. I love them to my core. Everything I do is for them. My youngest is special needs. A 1 in a billion chromosome duplication. I try. I do what I can. All the meetings. All the specialists. And still working 12 hours a night ..7pm to 7 am. 6 days a week. Just to get by. It's hard.

What you said about parents is so true. July 30th will be 1 year since my Momma went Home. I miss her so much. My Dad is struggling so bad still. She was his world and his reason for breathing. She was a difficult, tough woman to love at times, but he is the only person who ever truly understood her. They got together at 16 had us kids and are incredible parents and role models. Momma left us due to an accident. She fell at home and hit her head and died by bleeding out in my Dad's arms. Please send prayers up for my Dad. The 30th will be a rough one for him. Speak his name please. His name is Dennis 🙏❤️

This song hits hard for me because my uncle died like a few months ago because of a drinking and my mom was crying so badly and I didn’t know what to do and I tried my best to comfort her and I felt sad and after listening to this song now how my mother felt during that moment. This is why you don’t take your loved ones for granted always check up on them make sure that their ok. My prayers go to NF, you, and everybody just enjoy life while you can cause we’re gonna die one day

Brother i been working the same job for 40 years. And I'm struggling with 3 kids and a wife but I'm happy.
Man i felt it! I am the king of kid that got everything. A car paid by my dad when i was 16, food everythime that my mom cook. But one day we all have to pass by some hardtime in life. I am in it now, i am stop working for now 3 month because of anxiety et stress! I have to hide it because i have two kids and i dont want them to see this. I want them to see daddy happy! We just have to comeback stronger from all the curveball that life throw to us! Stay strong guys and much love!!!

I dont know you brother but I love you man, I lost my mom in 97 I was 25 and it about killed me then I lost my dad in 07 and honestly I haven't given a shit about life since then it's been a struggle with depression and I'm also dealing with chronic pain due to lymphedema in both my legs. Most days I cant hardly walk and death is always on my mind it sucks brother but for some reason I keep fighting, again I love you brother prayers to you.

We are a NA family and the only work my dad could get was on a tug boat. He 1 day fell and hit his head from10 feet on concrete which gave him bad seizures.The doctors put him on a whole bunch of pain meds and anti-anxiety meds. 1 day he had a seizure, like many times before so I put a pillow under his head till it was over and put him in his chair to come out of it later.I came back later and found out he wasn't breathing. Called EMT and all that s*** and once they send you to that private room, you know what they're about to tell you and on the autopsy reported it was due to over prescribing those meds, which is what gave him a massive heart attack and killed him. I hate to say it this way but he was a little unstable and my sister was physically and mentally handicapped, and only 3 months after, we had to make the hard decision to let her die because of her handicap, "she had no quality of life" according to the fuckn government and would not be put on the list for a kidney due to renal failure and she died by me and my mom's decision because she didn't understand and the dialysis hurt her because she had the mind of a two-year-old at 35 and she didn't understand the pain of dialysis. If he would've been around, It would have been even more horrible RIP❤

Thank you! I'm a parent of 2 children that were not planned. Oldest is 10, youngest is 4. I'm 42 and wife is 44. I'm the dedicated worker and have turned to alcohol for comfort. Same way my mother did, I helped her get stronger and now see my path following the same way. I work everyday and don't care about it but know I need to do it to pay the mortgage, electric and other bills. My crutch will not effect my end goal but keeps me focused for my family. I know it's not the right path.

I would check up on my father but too much has happened and after 30 years of living i'm finally on the path to something good in my life. I saw him earlier this year and it didn't go well, he lied again as he always does. I can't risk having that in my life when it's taking everything just to keep myself on track. It sounds cold and i wish i had the capacity to help him but i can't.

My now ex, had him help move out.. We were married for 20yrs... Didn't know that my kid, was forced into being so secretive... From his dad to move in with another woman and can't tell Mom. Ketamine, straight A student, quiet man. Being at youth group with his brother, broke his arm and that's when the ex met HER and persued it. I'm a preacher 's kid. Praise and worship leader that I had to step back from. Tryna figure it out. I'm not mad at God. He's so so good to u, but I put HIM away to be numb...horrible. but I feel for people and cry all the time with them. Praise God for empathy, even though it's rough.

I lost my dad when I was 33 years old, and I cannot put into words how hard it was....and still is at times. I am 59 years old , and still have certain songs or memories that just have me feeling that same pain & grief I had that day he passed. It is so true that we never know what people are going through and need to raise our children to have compassion & empathy for all people. This world we live in is hard and most people are broken in some way...some more than others and we just go through life trying to mend ourselves and many try to escape their reality & pain with drugs etc. I loved your message and I am certainly going to be checking out more of your channel. Oh man! This hits hard. My mom was just like his. As a child that’s all I wanted and I really did wait, emotionally and physically for her. I finally realized with maturity she is gone and it’s like a death. Mourn that loss and move on. I have a son now. Live and die for him. How I felt I would never inflict that on my boy.

I wore waterproof mascara every day for 2 years after my dad died. The tears would come out of nowhere. The grief and his passing were so unexpected. Every time the tears came, I got through it quickly by reminding myself how so lucky I was to have him love me. His kinda love isn't known by everyone, so I am just gratefull. This man literally saved my life at the risk of sounding cliche... I cut my wrist and 2 days later I woke up on life support... I had every intention of finishing what I started the day I got out of the mental hospital... that was the day HOPE was dropped... I told myself then if even NF could find it then maybe I could as well...I'm getting the word HOPE over the scars on my wrist with a semicolon to signify that my story isn't over... I wrote it myself in a scratch font like the word LOST on my neck in NFs handwriting...OUTCAST for life 👊🎈

My mom is 75, which is the age my dad died at (actually he died a few days before he turned 75...he celebrated his birthday in a casket).
Anyway, stay strong my friend. After nine years, I can't say it's "easier," but day-to-day life without the loved one you lost becomes more "normal," if that makes sense.
This is my 1st time hearing this. I've lost many friends and family members to addiction (double-digit numbers), so this hits close to home.
Keep doing what you do, young man. Never lose that positive, loving attitude.

I lost my mother from her addiction. I was only 25 and she was 47. It was very unexpected and I was so angry at her for years and years because I felt like it could have been avoided. But having gone through my own addiction issues in recent years, I understand the struggles

Thank you for the love. Love you back. I commented last week about my heart episode after I was in the hospital. My kids lost their father early in life...I raised them alone after their dad died. It means a lot to me to hear kind words. They've struggled with his loss. I worried so much in the hospital for them and how they felt about me being sick. I am all they have. It's a lot .and they're such good people. Just as you are. If you're fighting these heavy battles, keep fighting. There really are brighter days coming. I promise.
Also, I'm a recovering addict. Got clean after my kids dad's death, raised 5 kids, now I am 52 and getting a bachelor's degree in psychology. I am on the National Honor Roll. The dreams will come.. the reason will come. The struggles will serve a purpose.. keep going. It's all for the greater good.

Had my first grandbaby back in March that was three months early she had to have emergency C-section and wouldn't take a pain pill I think it was because of me that's how mine started was from a surgery I'm from Appalachian ohio home of the "PILL MILLS"🥺😭
