What a brilliant, honest review, confident buying, thank you
Great review. I've just bought one of these as I no longer need my large suv. 2 kids passed their tests, bought them cars, so now only my 10 year old and I. My partner has a larger car should I need a bigger car for the day.
Re seat adjustment, the bottom of the seat does actually move up and down. Possibly there is a fault in yours or it's because you're too heavy in which case you move the seat up /down b4 you get into the car.
I had to make the seat higher to make it more comfortable for me.... So it does work.
Your reviews are fab and it was this video that encouraged me to test drive a few 500s.
Thanks for taking the time to leave advice and a comment, and thanks for watching
my wife had one of these when she lived in england...going to buy her a 2017 model here in australia...great little cars...liked your video Barrie
Yes I like them too, thanks for watching
Mitchell M this is so cute!
How old are you mate? I want to live in Australia too
@@dezzie9771 i just turned 45...born in australia...my wife is nearly 33...born in england

Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment
A very handy video. As it’s Covid time still I couldn’t take my family for a spin in my new Fiat 500 this was a great substitute. I also got some good tips re the radio and sat nav as I couldn’t get a lesson when I bought the car.
Glad i could help, enjoy!
Great review.
Thanks! i really appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment
Hi Barrie me again, don't tell me at 8 or so minutes that impatient lady behind you, don't tell me the urge wasn't there to stick the car to the road
This video is so helpful as I am thinking of maybe getting a second hand one for my first car but the question I have about the car is it good with petrol usage and would it be a lot of money paying for petrol that gets used/wasted too quickly ?
Lolita thanks for that, great little cars and are very economical i am sure you would love it, we just sold this one today ruclips.net/video/VRNiQ_VKiz8/видео.html
Hi Barry, I found this very informative. Thank you for posting.
You are very welcome, thanks for taking the time and trouble to leave a comment
Have you driven one of these in automatic mode? What’s it like? Thank you.
I have, it was a while ago but as I remember it was pretty good
I hate the stop/start system. I reckon it's uses more fuel and causes unnecessary wear on components.
thats precisely my opinion too, and it always cuts out just when you dont want it to, sometimes delaying you by a second and putting you in harms way
I totally agree...it’s the most ridiculous system ever put on a car. I can’t stand it
Pritesh Champaneri You can turn it off
I totally agree too
Thanks for the excellent review. I am considering buying a 1.2 2019 model. I'm gonna go with the 1.2 rather than 0.9 because i think that the engine is not stressed as much and it's smother overall. What arw your thoughts on the matter?
Cheers
I think you are very wise, the 1.2 is a better engine and i also think it is more suited to the gearing but thats just muy opinion
@@BarrieCrampton Thanks for the reply.
thanks for watching !
Funny as I prefer the 0.9. Alot more responsive than the 1.2 which I found quite sluggish and a nuisance on faster roads. The 0.9 is also alot more fun to drive as well. Plus, bulletproof engine.
Barrie, I like watching your videos. They're great. I have only one request. Could you mention how fast you go when you drive around 50 or 60 miles/h? It would give me an idea how quiet it is inside. Thanks.
will try to remember
Funny how I find a car I like and you are driving around Preston sells it well
Alexandria Jane Ashworth we dont have any Fiat 500’s in at the moment but please keep an eye on our website www.ggcars.co.uk if you dont get fixed up
Just wondering if the start stop button that turns it off permanently or do u have to click it every time you start the car
i think you have to turn it off every time you start the car
I have a 2014 Fiat 500 Lounge. The AC is digital already but the radio unit only plays CD, mp3 and tuner without any screen. Is there any possibility I could upgrade the radio unit like yours ?
anything can be done at a cost, but probably not be worth it
Fab motor❤️
great little car
WOW, Bianco White so, it’s white white!
Huzzah!
nice car
16:45 - the words on the road are upside down?? I mean, I knew about driving on the *wrong* side of the road, but having to read upside down..... ;P
How tall are you? I am 185 cm and I'm wondering if it is ok for me with the Panorama.
6 foot
@@BarrieCrampton Thanks a lot . I think it would be perfect for me too.
my partner is 186 and hes alright driving my fiat 500'loinge 😄
They say it only does 99mph but have done 95mph in 4th then onto 105mph in 5th gear but yeah these are not made for Autobahn cruising they drive best round the town and are fun like a little F1 car in the corners
Lady at the 8min mark breaking the speed limit not good , you were doing the 60mph so i dont understand what her problem was? sadly people nowadays in a rush to go nowhere she ended up at the next traffic lights lol
Hi, how did you get satnav? I have a 2016 model and it doesnt come with satnav. There is also no Apple Car Play function so I can't play through Bluetooth.
Thanks
must have been an extra cost option from new, however if you just get a cradle , put your phone in it and use the sat nav on that its just as good if not better, also if you sre streaming music from your phone through the speakers your sat navs instructions will play through the cars speakers too
@@BarrieCrampton I have tried to play google maps on my phone to the car via Bluetooth but it doesn't work annoyingly yet it plays SoundCloud, MixCloud, You Tube etc. Thank you in any event. :)
@@virginiawoollett2063 i think you may have to switch on something in settings to allow sat nav voice instructions to play over music you are listening to
Yes on your phone if its an iphone its in settings- maps- spoken directions try that
@@BarrieCrampton Thanks a mill, I did not know that, I have changed the settings so fingers crossed it works
Great cars until the 'stop/start' function engages in the middle lane of the motorway!!!
Im not a fan of stop start, its bad enough when it engages just as you were about to set off at a roundabout and the engine switches off, then launches you right into the path of a car thats now a lot closer than it was before
Barrie Crampton, I have read that there’s a sensor on the clutch pedal which I am going’s to have disabled, hope this will be the finish of it. Why does Fiat not know of this problem?
