Randy Orton has to be one of those matches that’s like his arch enemy
Plus they have the title that they both need to break
@@fallenkafiel I heartily agree with both sentiments…
But there’s a small part of me that would love for Cena to cut a promo, Randy’s music hits, he enters, and cena just goes “NO. We are NOT doing this AGAIN. Let’s call it a draw and MOVE. ON.”
And Randy just shrugs like “…yeah, thank god, I was reaaallly dragging my feet back there lol”
@@D0makr0m3that would be cool but then there also cm punk
Please no

The amount of respect punk has for cena is incredible
also low-key delusional

cant say the same about punk. even part time cena wrestles better than the old hag punk
If it was a year or two ago: Damian would be dropping the title Monday. What a better world we live in where a single mistake isn’t the end of a career. 🔥
No no no, you are wrong sir. He would've dropped it when his leg got caught in the ropes.
@@bmagada very fair point.
He didnt make a mistake, the production crew did.
@@jkq2006 Even if the production crew screwed up, Priest still should have kicked out.
@@jeremygott7709 fair point but the spot was clearly to make it look like Seth would have won but was interfered by the music hitting. So he was left high and dry, I feel bad for him

I keep seeing people say Cena's last match is next WrestleMania but he said it clearly at the press conference he's back to be active in the ring until December 2025.
Basically his final match could be either that December's PLE or the final Raw or Smackdown of 2025
His promo definitely made it seem like mania would be the end. Most people probably do not care enough to watch the press conferences
A lot of people don't watch the press conferences. Cena only said that the next WM would be his last WM though. Anyone that thought that meant that would be his last match, didn't pay attention to what he actually said.
@@TinkSalsathis is WWE nothing is end

@@jaycerrito3142 Most likely.
I thought he was supposed to not kick out and then the McIntyre music was supposed to distract the ref
John was asked about breaking the record. At the very end of the conference.
Started watching in 2007 back when I was 9 years old. From moment one Cena has ALWAYS been my guy, the one wrestler who I’ve gone out of my way to buy every shirt I could.
I’ll miss you John, thank you for being my inspiration to Never Give Up

Ahhh the News ☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕☕
Cena vs Orton & Punk has to be done one more time. AJ, Roman & Cody. All those matches has to be done one more time
I’d trade Roman for KO. Roman and Cena never really had a great match. But Cena had one of his best matches against KO. I’d also like to see him vs Rollins and Lesnar one more time. Roman has enough to keep him busy with Cody, Rock, Solo and Jacob when he gets back. To your point, Roman VS Cena on one off main event of Raw would be special though.
Disagree about Roman, and I'm not bashing the guy. They just never had much chemistry together. I'd say no to Cody as well, but him vs Cody could make for a good passing of the torch moment.
@@thetribalist6923 cena best matches? cm punk, randy orton, ko. cm punk with cena? multiple star 5
@@enjumamoru6513 agreed there although I always found Orton/Cena matches to be disappointing. Not bad but not as good as their matches with other people.
Cena's final match has to be against Baron Corbin.
I was just thinking about that disrespectful bs match Kurt had, TF Vince has gone.
@@lee.valley Might have not been the right opponent but Baron showed up and had a banger with Angle.
@@lee.valleythe only thing left in cenas career is heel turn and he already said no
So there's nothing surprising left
Man you give me PTSD about kurt angle last match was vs baron corbin at wrestlemaina 35 what a HORRIBLE decision that was.
@@cliffordjackson3FACT.
WWE doesn't acknowledge it, but Flair won many more world titles than just 16. The numbers are between 21 and 36.
There’s an easy fix to cover for that pin count botch. They can reveal at a certain time that Fin Balor had bribed the referee into helping Priest out, causing more tension between the two.
I actually thought it was that & not a botch & was waiting for Balor to come out
Cena has to break the record and win 1 more world title!
Two episodes today? 🎉🎉🎉
I'm just glad priest is okay! As the person asking the question was getting at, priest was behaving weirdly for the whole last half of the match (a bit unsteady) so that plus the "missed kickout" made me and a lot of people on twitter afraid he had a concussion. I wish the person who asked the question voiced that was the concern, as the fact he asked "is damian okay" makes me think that is why he was asking as well moreso than the "haha, he messed up"

We gotta have Punk vs Cena one more time I feel they didn’t get to properly have that one last big match 12 years ago and what better way to have such a big money match than John Cena vs CM Punk one last time
Cena needs the IC title so he can be a grand slam champion
I mean if it's between that and breaking Flairs record I'd go for the second option or both why not
Third time I've seen this thumbnail changed nice guys, real nice.
People make fun of Cena's jorts but Stone Cold was the original jort wearer and it was cool. Hell he wore them in his retirement match at WrestleMania 38 .
The cena journey was great. I hope the wwe gives him a good storyline to end his career. I hope to see him against orton as his last match. 🙏
AJ vs Cena both retiring at wm would be epic.
nah i want to see cena in a crossover match with tna. Cena vs Joe Hendry
If there's anyone I'd expect to never leave WWE after their career, it's John. I never expected him to jump ship, he'd just go to Hollywood and continue his success there.
When Cena came into the company I was around 20 years old and I never hated him like so many people did, but I never really noticed him. I thought he was just some dude doing the Eminem gimmick or something. It wasn't until I watched his feued with the Big Show that I started to get behind him and when he beat JBL at Mania 22 I started to really like his gimmick and character. And when he got in the ring with the legends and put on great matches I started to love his character more and more. It's just hard to believe that he is retiring because Cena was such a huge part of my young adult years watching his matches with my best friends at the time while making fun of how cheesy he was. It's like seeing him ride off into the sun set feels like the best days of my youth riding away with it. Whether you loved Cena or hated him, he always left the fans with something to think about or something to believe in.
I mean I'ma miss cena when he retires but i hope he still has some appearances he was apart of everyone's childhood🔥
John Cena Home Town
CM PUNK Money In The Banks long John Cena Championship
Cena is gonna be an "advocate"
Cena is becoming a manager confirmed.
Shesh I hope to be there at WM41 like I was in WM39 in sofi it was awesome
John cena better be a permanent announcer now.
👇🏾
I would love to see John Cena vs Daniel Bryan, RVD, Kurt Angle, Edge, Mark Henry, and last but not least The Big Show.
He becomes a WWE Ambassador still does Make a Wish etc. Good for John he's given a lot to pro wrestling regardless of what you may personally believe Cena gave it all over the years.
Orton vs Cena or Angle vs Cena is the way to end it
Good luck getting Angle to lace up his boots again.
I need a Randy Orton and John Cena feud during this retirement tour just to go back to those days that they carried WWE
I sorta chalked the Priest botch up to just timing, I thought there was a miscue on McIntyres music
I booked mania this morning.
If they don’t give him another world title, the farewell tour will not live up to the hype. They have the power to make this Kobe special
Was a pretty legit show. Just wish Punk would mind his business and stay out of Seth’s and Drew’s 💯
Cena's last match pitch: "A regular banger of a match but when Cena goes for the You Can't See Me, the lights cut out... A moment later the lights come back on but Cena is gone. Everyone is confused and looking around. After some moments the ref starts counting him out. He's never seen in the ring again..." -Kinda stolen and paraphrased from a reddit comment.
Unpopular opinion: it would’ve been better for CM Punk to mess up Drew winning the briefcase than him messing with him during the title match. Someone deserves the opportunity to win the briefcase, but the briefcase wasn’t needed for that storyline. Drew and Punk screwed up two matches for several people in one night
I wont accept any retirement tour for Cena that doesnt include Truth getting a chance to wrestle his childhood hero.
So this may be an unpopular opinion, but I think Orton should be Cena’s last opponent. Have it on the 20th anniversary of their first match on Raw, which happens to fall on a Friday in 2025
They could even have it be both men’s retirement match. Have Orton announce that this is his last run too and he wants Cena to be his last match. Keep them on seperate brands having their own stories, but also keep building to the final match. Then have that Smackdown be a whole show dedicated to the careers of Cena and Orton capped by their final match.
It’s the least WWE could do for those guys keeping the lights on
I am just saying...His last match should be made into a tournament. The wrestlers should fight to challenge John Cena for the right to face him in his last match. Put 16 wrestlers in the tournament from his past to the current present of future superstars. I feel WWE can get a lot out of this. It was be amazing to watch.
we need another Cena vs orton. that has to be one of the top 3 feuds from my childhood

Just a few matches I’d like to see before Cena retires
Yeah you covered every body😅
Cena vs. Homelander Cody as a feud in 2025 would be a good way to go out.
I hope Carmelo gets a spot on that tour
I have grew up with John Cena but it's time for the new generation.
Have grown* up with John Cena…
Cena should 100% get the 17th title. He deserves it. And he doesn't even have to hold it long. It can be for a month or something. But he should get the 17th. No one deserves it more.
Why is everyone spazzing cena has said he’s retiring a dozen times over the last 6 months.
I wish I had an answer for you... But people are dumb🤷♂️
Ugh, guess it is time to become a Cena fan
Give him the boyhood dream, John Cena vs R-Truth
Man if they get that 17th world title in this run I’d be so happy. Only 2 that deserve it is Cena and/or Orton
Cena should definitely break Ric's record and then Charlotte should break Cena's record towards the end of her career
As an AEW and Wrestletalk fan, I would be happy if John Cena to AEW confirmed! John Cena will truly be a game changer for AEW
Good joke
RKO vs Cena for the belt record would be epic!
I have always played John Cena vs Randy Orton on wwe smackdown vs raw 2008 for the ps2. I want to see my dream match come true.
damn i hope we can get cena in some crossover matches with TNA before he retires.
I would love to see Kurt Angle involved in some way 🤔
Honestly, I don't care about him announcing his Farwell retirement I just don't want him to break Ric Flair record. But that what it seems like he's coming back for.
Promoting Canada over USA was a crap move that made him look scrubby
I'm calling it John Cena vs Randy Orton for the title at WrestleMania 41 and then Rock vs John Cena at Summerslam and Rock wins the title
Wrestlemania Cena vs Orton. They deserve a singles Wrestlemania match.
Have they never had a singles match against each other at Mania?
I mean, Retirement Tour Cena vs Heel Champion Punk at at Mania prints money... Though, maybe in Boston?
They should give Cena the IC title run on his first match like his US open challenge which led to his last match title vs title against Gunther which he wins for his 17th World title then relinquish both titles after his last match and after you can have an IC Title tournament during few weeks of raw and a Royal Rumble match for the vacant world title then winner of chamber to face the new world champ at mania.. Cena deserves this, he already jobbed to a lot of talent he even have a losing streak for the past years after 20+ years with the company he deserves a proper send off.. Give him the IC Title and 17x World Title
Here is how i would book Mania...Cena says It has been my dream since i was a little boy to be a WWE wrestler. In the WWE i have had the chance to wrestle everyone YOU could dream of but not the one I dreamed of. At my final Wrestlemania i want to have my last WWE dream come true. I want to wrestle the person who made me dream. I want to wrestle Hulk Hogan.
At the very least, I think we have to have Cena matches against AJ, Orton, Punk, and even Cody. And I don't want it to be a "Cena loses lol" thing. He deserves to win, he's been putting over talent for years now. I honestly can't remember the last time he won a singles match. Over 5 years ago?
Cena vs Orton one more time
cena is about to make a LOT of cash with new merch for retiring. then full time hollywood.
so, looking backward in all of John Cena career in WWE, he had great feuds...and most of them are still be a part of the roster.
- Randy Orton (the two young wrestlers who debuted almost at the same time)
- The Miz (WM 2011 and more)
- Rey Misteryo (the two faces of SmackDown during 2003-2005)
- CM Punk (THAT night at Chicago)
- Seth Rollins (Cena vs The Authority)
- Kevin Owens (the canadian stomping the US Title elevating the NXT Champiionship)
- AJ Styles (in 2016, the very best SmackDown has to offer...and their match at the Rumble in 2017 got me)
I will book Cena, thought, in a different way.
first The Wyatt Sicks. The match Cena has with Bray at Wrestlemania will forever be rememberd as one of the greatest cinematic matches of all time.
This time, though...it will be different. John Cena will come across with Uncle Howdy who is going to brainwashing him, just like Wyatt did...but this time, more effective. As a matter of fact, Uncle Howdy was the evil part of Bray Wyatt.
After this, we will finally see Heel Cena, something we will picturing him for decades.
John will never fight because he will not be the catalyst of the group...just the voice of the group inside and outside the WWE.
John will enter the Royal Rumble and helping out Uncle Howdy to get more eliminations than anyone, including self-elimination in order to help the man who woe him up.
At Wrestlemania, John Cena will then be put in a do-or-die situation by the Wyatt Sicks, recover his mental issues and farewell the WWE Universe, maybe waiting for the induction in the Hall Of Fame...potentially the night before Wrestlemania.
Well Drew is officially suspended
I'm 30 now and I was 9 when I saw John Cena's Debut back in 2002, I'm not going to lie, I was really emotional when John Announced his retirement....I had a flashback of all of John's rivalries from kurt, JBL, Triple H, Batista, Randy, CM Punk, Chris Jericho, edge and more.....growing up I loved him as a kid and then hated him for always being in the main event in my teenage years but as A Man now, I really love and appreciate John Cena, I'm really hoping his last match will be at Wrestlemania against Randy Orton......ps and hope he wins the intercontinental belt before he leaves
Except he was asked about winning another title and gave an answer. What's going on with the fact checking?
Now we know who will Headline The 2025 WWE Hall of Fame Class!
Cena's done a lot with Miz, I'd like for him to have one last bout with him during the retirement tour.
He probably had a better writter outside of WWE since it wasn’t Vince
Why are you guys interested in whatever uncle Dave says is the worst thing you guys can do.
How much does Bischoff and Cornette pay you?
Umm... Cena actually was asked about breaking Flairs record and basically said he hopes they can pull that off
Just a money ploy how else are they going to keep “selling out” arenas when the product isn’t that good, it’s hot but not good.
It's not not the Ric Flair record. Flair has won over 20 world titles. Look this up.
They missed the opportunity to have Cena announce his retirement in a green suit, with Mark Henry at his side, only to change his mind and AA Henry at the end of his speech. 😂
I hope they give Cena 1 more championship. I thinkn he deserves that distinction.
Cena vs punk we need it not just one match neither we need an actual feud then I wanna see cena run it back with styles , Seth , and Randy again maybe reigns and Cody wwe can take all my money 😌
am i the only one who already kinda considered him retired? like he's been away in Hollywood for a while
Id book Cenas retirement where it's John Cena vs Jacob fatu. You can spin it from the WrestleMania 40 stare down . Jacob fatu can be passed the torch by Cena
Cena vs Bron and Gunther sound very tasty indeed.
I think for final opponents, I'd like to see Cena have one last match with CM Punk and Randy Orton but I'd love to see him face Drew Mcintyre, Cody Rhodes, Gunther, Ilja Dragunov and Bron Breakker during that 2025 run as well.
I don't think he needs to win every match he has but I'd like to see him put over talent that can do with the win while gaining victories over old rivals and friends that remind us of who we are losing out on come 2026.
Dr Thugonomics in 2025 in Netflix confirmed
That’s really cool that WWE is doing this for John Cena I hope he can win his last match especially since he did put over Solo the way he did.
How does that old wrestling adage go
Never say Never in wrestling 😂
for cena i think like sting a lot of good match with great wrestler and a last where he win the title
book Cena's final match as a 'dark match / lights out match' rematch with Austin Theory,... when I say 'dark match / lights out match', I do mean completely dark, no lights, no camera's, no audience, no-one else !
Cena should win title # 17 at survivor series and lose it in his last match in december, putting over a young talent.
But who does he beat for it? Gunther? Cody? I don't see how we get to an opponent that wouldn't be TERRIBLE for cena to beat
@@TinkSalsa he beats Cody, because of interference from Solo that neither the ref or John sees. After seeing what happened after the match, John gives Cody a rematch to maintain his babyface and Cody wins it back. That way Cody isn't hurt by the lose, John gets #17 and stays babyface, and Cody gets his title back.
Rhodes, Punk or Orton for Cena's Wrestlemania match
John should try to become a grand slam and win the Intercontinental Championship as well as trying to break the world championship record
Last show of the year, last match of cena. Last chance to win a world title. Imagine the pop if he won and retired as champ.
It has to be Randy Orton, no one else can retire Cena then him
Certainly WWE has to have some sort of Cena retirement tie in with the "You can't see me" catchphrase. Maybe "You can't see me... anymore."
