  • In this video, we will discuss some of the most important car specifications you should know before purchasing.
Length of the vehicle: The length of the car is straightforward to calculate. It measures a vehicle from the front tip to the rear. It is commonly denoted in millimeters. The length of the car majorly affects the handling and stability. It can also impact the amount of interior and trunk space available.
Width: Another important dimension to consider is the width of a car.
Height: The car's height is measured from its lowest point, where the tires touch the road, to the tallest point on its roof.
Wheelbase: The wheelbase is defined as the distance between the centers of the car’s front wheel and rear wheel. Usually, a longer wheelbase means a longer vehicle cabin, which means more interior room for passengers and cargo.
Ground Clearance: Ground clearance is the least distance between the lower end of the vehicle body and the road. It is measured in millimeters or inches.
Engine: An engine is a machine that converts fuel into energy, which is used to power the car and make it move.
Engine Size or Engine Displacement: Engine size refers to the total volume of the engine's cylinders. Car engine sizes are generally specified in CC cubic capacity or in liters.
Transmission: Your car’s transmission or gearbox as it is commonly known, is one of the most important components in the engine. The gearbox is of two primary types, automatic and manual, as most of you are probably familiar with.
Drivetrain: The system that transfers power from the gearbox to the car axles is called the drivetrain. This includes the transmission, driveshaft, differential, axles, and wheels.
Suspension: The suspension system in a vehicle is a mechanical system that connects the wheels and tires to the car's body and frame. Its purpose is to absorb shocks and vibrations from the road, providing a smooth and comfortable ride while also improving the handling and stability of the vehicle.
Brakes (Type and Size): Brakes are a crucial component of a vehicle's safety system. They allow the driver to slow down or stop the vehicle by converting the moving vehicle's kinetic energy into heat energy. Brake types are divided into two broad categories, disc, and drum.

32 years old, still own and drive the only and first car in my life who get my license. A 2007 BMW X3, it is nearly 400,000 km so far. I named Her Katrina after driven through a full day of rain storm in Yukon and Alaska and survived. Never skipped a single maintenance so without telling people how old it is most people can't guess based of how it looked.

Better way of explaining power wud b that torque is how much power ur engine can put out or how hard it can pull while horse power describes how fast it can apply that force or how many times it can apply that power in a given amount of time. So torque is how much it can pull while horsepower is how fast it will pull it. They do affect eachother n changing one may cause other to b affected also.

I did learn some interesting things and especially terminology in English (not my native language) from this video. However your explanation of aspect ratio on tire measurements is not correct in my opinion. An aspect ratio of 55 like in your example, as far as I know, means that the height of the sidewall is indeed 55% of the width dimension but from your explanation it sounds like it's considered as part of the overall width.
If you take both sidewalls (inside and outside) that would mean that the 245 mm width should be divided in 27.5% - 45% - 27.5% = 67.4mm - 110mm - 67.4mm.
In my view (I'm not an expert, just a somewhat technical guy) it should be 134.75mm - 245mm - 134.75mm (sidewall height - width - sidewall height).

Yeahhh this is a video for the normies. He didn’t mention anything about the higher tier cars or even V6s or V8s. Lol I’m already knowledgeable of cars and it’s design but I like to brush up on lost knowledge but this saddens me that even for regular non car people. They don’t know much and just buy things without even knowing where the fuel cap is. (Me when I bought a S2000 and couldn’t find the fuel tank lever the day of. Stopped at a gas station and was there for an hour before another guy with a S2000 walked over and told me where it was before I started to google my problems.) I’m pretty stubborn lol
