Fantastic video. Very clear, concise, and covers every detail that needs to be known. Plus switching between held camera to tripod mount to show the whole process is perfect! I can tell your planning for the video was also very good. Thank you.
Nice clear vid, I bought one of these cars this summer, 2010, avant with 66k, what a weapon!!! Stage 2 remap on engine and gearbox plus induction kit, apparently 470 bhp, so smooth to drive and is a weapon disguised as a family estate with a dog guard 🚗🐶👍👍 slightly thirsty is my only criticism tho.

Thanks for the comment appreciate it 😊, yeah they are great intakes, the heat soak usually is when doing multiple pulls on a rolling road you find they suffer with heat soak, even mine did with the airbox. Need to get a heat exchanger before I look into changing a puller
The Parrott Bro’s here’s a question. I looking to change my alloys. Currently running on the same alloys as yours but 20”. I want to lower the car as they are lowered as standard so I intend on putting 19” s back on. Dilemma is what alloys to choose. I fancy the Inovit Speed. Any ideas?

The Parrott Bro’s Definitely need a concave wheel. Both wheels are nice and I am tempted until I saw the Veemann v-fs40 wheel. However I just don’t think they are concave enough. I’m new to this topic, could you explain what aside from the enhanced acoustic feedback would be pros and cons of an open filter intake and what one might need to take extra care of when having one installed?
Jan Akerman Open filters offer on restricted airflow, compared with an air box, you can run a feed of cold air from the front grill up to the filter increasing air supply. Cons are you may also suck in warmer air from the bay area compared with a box that only takes from outside. Filters have been known to gain an increase of 5 to 8 hp when tested on dyno’s
The Parrott Bro’s thanks for the reply! On the con side, I assume that would mean more potential heat built in the engine room or what would the side effects be and how can they be prevented?
Jan Akerman higher intake temps means less power. By adding a cold air feed from the front fog area upwards you reduce the likely hood of warm air when moving The b8 s4 suffer with heat anyway, that’s why when tuning owners fit a heat exchanger to cool the charger down
Hey, just watched your Vid, i am driving my s4 b8 at stage1 since 5 years and am thinking about another air intake. What i informed about was the CDA (carbon dynamic airbox) but now i would propebly install what you did. Where can i get it from, i dont want to order something wrong.
The cda will help prevent warm air soak but doesn’t allow that beautiful whine to be heard haha. I have the roceuro one which is from the states. There is a few on eBay that are similar. I’ll see if I can find you a link. What country are you?
The lid of the original air box is what holds the filter in, so you couldn’t do that. Plus by doing that you limit what air can get to the filter, it will only be air from above and infront. You also want the air from below
Hey, thank you for this video. I recently just installed my roc euro and during cold start there is a sudden massive intake of air that lasts for about 3 seconds.
