I completely understand what you’re saying. I still don’t really care who makes the movie but I know now which are most collectible. I do miss video stores. Not only would I rent weekly but would buy also. And there’s no better feeling than picking it up yourself. Mail takes all the fun out of it. Best Buy used to carry so much! I used to enjoy FYE until they closed down all of my local stores. I go to 2nd and Charles alot to buy in person. It is sad.
I know right. I do like shopping online but it's definitely not as good by any mean as hunting for stuff in the wild. We've never had an FYE here but we did have Hastings and that was my favorite place ever. Hate that they went bankrupt. I do like 2nd and Charles but mine doesn't have that many movies, nothing like how Hastings was. I miss the video rental stores to. Those were the good ole days for sure.
i was at best buy like 2 days ago and was wondering what happened to all the physical games for switch and playstation, they literally had almost nothing it was so sad to see. at first i thought it was just my area had a bad stock lol
It's sad really. Even for Black Friday Best Buy had very little and they didn't price anything individually. My Walmart and target have radically reduce their movie sections and every year they get smaller. I'm buying more and more online. And I never liked that. But I agree that there's something to going out in the real world and find that special treasure. That's what we're losing. I can still go to my local used movie store. It's fun to browse there like the good ole days and I can find some nice stuff like the Lawrence of Arabia special edition I recently found that I show i my latest haul video. But I worry that these stores won't last either. We are the curators of physical media!
Yeah, I am very thankful for the used stores I have here to. But yeah, one of my local record stores just went out of business so I'm scared they could go one day to. I do like to shop online but I much prefer to shop in person cause it's alot more fun.
I agree. That feeling of reading the back of the box for the video game that you just bought was great
I agree that part of the fun is the hunting and being able to hold it and read the packaging.
Right, it's so nice to physically pick up your physical media, I do like ordering online to but not everything lol

Sad for see an end of an era. Streaming has killed the movie collecting hobbie
I know right. I think there so much downfall to streaming but it's just to easy and that's all that matters to most people right now.😢
