Me
I've never supported anybody so much. For the first time in my life I'll watch the games for you. You're the true hero Yusra.
Awww bless you
Beautiful and inspiring. From saving her life, swimming and pushing dingy for three hours to reach Greece, to Rio 2016. That is a gold medal achievement in itself.
This is why the Olympics is such an amazing event, it provides us with rags-to-riches stories like this, and real underdogs to support outside of our own countrymen and women! I'll be cheering for team GB and the refugee team, you go Yusra!
Very well said
She has won first heat at Rio. Keep up champ. We all are with you.
I'm not judging, and I believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but I would genuinely like to understand why would anyone dislike this video?

God bless you and your country on your support to the refugees.
Good Luck from Syria. You put a smile on the faces of many many SAA soldiers fighting hard here in Aleppo. You reminded them of why we wont give up. Godbless kiddo. In our eyes you allready won more than a medal can get, and you make us all proud
if the AL-NUSSRA wins I pray you don't behead her for not being a good Muslim, like what you did to a 12 year old boy.
+Hady Hakim The SAA is fighting against Al-Nusra, you know.

Never been happier to share my name with someone 💕
Yusra S same
Heyyy
Yusra we are reading about you in Goodnight Stories for Rebel Girls and my daughter watched this video at school here in the UK. You are amazing and such a role model for young women everywhere.
While most 17 year old girls revolve around Instagram, she's doing this. She's going to have a beautiful life
This is what I call dedication - something we lack now these days...
Lol that's not a fact.
She's a refugee like my parents. She was forced to grow up fast, and I don't know if that's necessarily a good thing. If you girls do have the privilege of having access to social media, I don't think it's a bad thing. Believe it or not, you become more worldly because of how fast information spreads. Just because 17 year olds' lives "revolve" around Instagram doesn't mean that they won't lead a beautiful life, as well. Thanks for taking the time to support Yusra, though. :)
ikr hhhhhhhhhh there is a difference between a refugee and normal person life .a teenager girl revolve around instagram does not have any relation about managing her life. i think it is all about goals the real difference between her and other girls is that she had goals and will that is all sorry for my English
Have you seen her instagram? Because it is hawt
Yusra, you are a real inspiration. Thank you for doing everything you do. Good luck, you will go very far.

best of luck yusra all the support for you girl I'm proud of u you role girl
Amazing story..we know now through a movie...
You go, girl!
The refugee team is an awesome idea, making it possible for those athletes to continue top level training and pursue their dreams and goals and creating awareness... Yet I think those guy and gals should be starting for the country where they live now. That'd be a great way for Germany to better embrace its Syrian refugees (or for Kenia to embrace the Sudanese ones, and so on) and to show the world that those people deserve a new home that welcomes them - not an eternal refugee status.
She is so inspiring..😮
What a great thing, I just learned today, that there is a Refugee Team. And this girl is amazing, really impressive! Best wishes from the western part of Germany! :-)
Keep practicing girl, you´re imprresive, super and hyper good luck at Rio 2016!

good luck و انشاالله موفقة و الله يحميكي و ترفعين علم سوريا في العالي
Why can't our governments let in more people like her? There are plenty of Syrian athletes, doctors, engineers etc. who should get priority as they are less likely to be dangerous and give back to their host country. Unfortunately because of political correctness our governments don't want to give priority to genuinely talented people and want to let in anybody who could be a criminal or have radical views with no concern for the nation or its people.
👍👍
EXACTLY.
Depends where you live, really
This is not correct. The U.S. has only accepted a couple thousand Syrian refugees over the past few years, each of whom must go through a thorough, 2-year-long vetting process.
When you only take a couple thousand out of millions, you not only get to be pretty selective, but really, you have to be.
Judging by our current political climate, the politically correct thing to do is actually to do what you have done: to speak of refugees as if most of them are criminals, and to suggest that refugees like Yusra are some sort of anomaly, rather than the norm.
Let in the engineers, doctors, athletes because they are less dangerous... but what about someone who's a cook? a stay-at-home-mom? a farmer? someone who was unemployed due to bad luck or due to a chronical illness? What about a recovering drug addict? Saying who's life is or isn't worth saving just because of their education or something they did in the past isn't ethical. It'd be unconstitutional in Germany.
Your are doing so great Yüsra, keep pushing forward and don't stop ;-)
She is so pretty inside out:)
Good luck 😃👍
💪👌
