Such an underrated game! I wish they would've continued the series.

I think Cameron kinda created that idea that they were mindless when in fact they are actually incredibly intelligent, they are not Zombies, lol? The mindlessness comes from the hive mind thing Cameron created for his Xenos that the original never displayed, and it's unfortunate, i rather aliens like the Isolation Xenomorph that is an actual threat than any Xenomorph coming out of 'Aliens' that will just stand there and get killed.
@@raptros not mindless in the sense of them being stupid, i meant in the sense of them being completely lacking of free will and driven by instincts to kill. Kinda like the tyranids from 40k. All the want is to kill, eat, reproduce. They’re still drones even if they accomplish these goals through strategic and intelligent means. My whole point is that you’re able to play a xenomorph, a creature devoid of free will and acting through only the orders of the queen. You have free choice as a human to completely ignore humans for the most part and just continue through the game, which a real xenomorph would NEVER DO.
I loved playing as the alien, made it so much more challenging, it's always funny when an finisher conga line starts

In the Alien campaign you can see kill moves that pinned civilians down and attracted a Facehugger to them.
Man I really missed this game.
They should've kept it all going. It was a good game. Really capturing all points from all the series

I still play it from time to time, obviously only the PC severs are still up and there's only like 5 players in total (On a lucky day) every match but it's still fun for pure nostalgia.
Actually, for this one the one you can play as all 3 races just it's kind of lore accurate so humans don't have finishing moves and can't suplex aliens like that other AVP game but Aliens are ambush predators and Predators take skulls as trophies, so they put that in the game. It's also a game where if you want the full story, you kind of have to play all 3 races and they actually have wildly different gameplay which is very cool they did that because that's a lot of work. It really was a hidden gem but it didn't sell well unfortunately.

The Storyline when you're playing as a Xenomorph is actually really interesting, also playing as a marine.
Playing as a Yautja is pretty standard thou. But it was a nice game.
The best Yautja (Predator) game is still the underrated gem *Predator Concrete Jungle* a PS2 game. Takes place in 1930. And in 2030.

The xeno just wants to kill you but the Predator is hunting you for sport and also takes your head as a trophy

YES! This is easily one of my favorite games of all time! It's only $25 or so on Xbox, and the multiplayer servers are still up last time I checked

Well, it's not all finishers in this game. There is one that you can trigger in single player campaign playing as Xenomorph, when he grabs simple unarmed scientist or civilian, put him down on the ground and then facehuger shows up and "hugs" the face of that person. And there is different animations for that from different angles. There is also one for the Predator, when he jumps from above and stabs the prey's head. There is even more, but i don't remember what they do, cause i haven't played this game in a long time. Very long time. Like, back in 2016 or so.
But yeah, i played this game a lot back in the days. It was fun. Some people may say that this game is worse than original Alien vs Predator, or it's sequel, but i think that people just don't know what they want. Cause, this game is good. It looks good, as for 2010 game. It feels good, and it has a cool story. Sure, it could be longer than it is, but there is three different campaigns: for Soldier, Xenomoph and Predator, so i don't blame developers for not too long campaign. Cause, they wanna fit three different stories with different gameplay in to one game.
They did have more in original video but not sure there were any different ones 🤔 and the kills lost their shock value after the pov so we didn’t end up finishing original vid 🤗

Remember when shooting at Xenomorphs, never aim center of mass that causes the most acid blood spray. Go for the head.(Lore wise from some of the books anyway, the games it doesn't really matter.)

Played this game a lot. It's the worst of the First Person Shooter style AvP games but still a good game overall, which actually says a lot about the quality of the games in this series.
I loved this game. Unfortunately, it was never very popular. I was ranked top 300+ in the world via Xbox at the time. Would like to revisit this in the future with friends/family

I think they missed one there is a predator stealth execution that you can do where you grab them from behind and just sort of twist their head off there is also and alien "execution" I use the term loosely because it's actually a harvest where you grab them slam them and expose their face to a facehugger
Dear god I fucking LOVED this game. I used to play the fuck out of it back in 2010. It was one of those games where it was glitchy as fuck. But it was fun as HELL. Kinda like Modern warfare 2 back in the day. There was this guy on RUclips called acid glow who posted like 1000 matches of this game on RUclips. Miss those days
Avp 2010 was my gem, i mainly played alien and the way the Alien immediately clicked with me, it's gameplay, the speed, the agility the brutality, the creativity you had to have to pick a target and decide how to close in and having to know how to actually fight in case your target actually turns around fights back, i've never played a character like this, ever. I never liked FPS cause it was mostly long range combat and it was never fun to randomly shoot things when i rather beat the shit out of them.
One thing that always boggled me was that in every game where the alien is playable it always emphasized team work, but that's not the way i played it all. And it actually makes sense, Aliens are a lot more dangerous when they work alone because when alone they don't have that annoying hive mentality thing to jump in front of gun fire like Cameron's Aliens did.
So i sticked to this rule and i remember usually having other aliens with me and without even thinking about it i was carrying an entire team, i thought back then that most people in general could not play Alien to save their lives, they are just too fast and too crazy for your typical FPS junky, and i can't imagine the motion sickness a lot of people must've suffered from wall walking, as for me, i was in heaven, i can safely say that in all my years playing first person games, the Alien from AVP2010 was the most fun i had playing an FPS game ever.
It was the first and only game where i kept consistent top scores in every map in MP with 50~100 kills going solo as alien, no team work, the Alien in second place had like 10~15 kills always huge differences in score i was like imagine if every alien in my team was just as effective as the guy at the top 😂. Man i hope to see a new AVP game again at some point, i miss playing Alien.

I hope you two play this game on stream one day, this game is a banger imo. The story may not be the most compelling, but c'mon, that's not why you play this game. You play it for the awesome gameplay.

Strangely enough, despite being the most recent and advanced iteration of the game this ended being the "red headed stepchild" of the series, particularly on PC, and also strangely enough these attacks are one of the reasons why, in addition to the game being completely imbalanced towards the Predators. These were almost universally hated in Multiplayer, partially because they did 30% damage, so basically once you were down to 30% health you were screwed... the problem with that is heavy attacks did 45-50% damage and were actually stronger. Still these attacks, for whatever reason were considered "cheap", servers would outright ban people for using them.
Needless to say, these kind of attacks are still wildly present in all kinds of games now and no one bats an eyelash.

Playing as the preditor was fun af then playing as humans made it like a horror game and playing and aliens was fun but made me nauseous cus of the wall climbs

At least if you prove yourself to the predators/yautja they can ally with you or spare you but the xenomorphs/aliens will not and would rather eat you or make you a host for the facehuggers which is just as bad if not worse in some scenarios.
