Thank so much for this video. Your talk on the role that desire plays in our lives is enlightening and uplifting.

While there is useful information from this video, I don't believe that every desire is incorrect or unhealthy. Desires can become goals. After my TBI, I had to relearn the entire language of English (aphasia). I did this because I could live without being a professional copywriter. I was always a copywriter in some way. It was who I was and still am. Now, after years of relearning English, I am a resume writer. I am a copywriter again. All of this started from a desire, to be a writer again. This was a desire that I had the ability to control and use, and so this desire was useful. If I had a desire that I couldn't control, then this would be an unhealthy desire. The ego can be very helpful, and this confidence. Confidence is about skills and abilities that truly have. While this video is useful for people with unhealthy desires, like a manic thought, I also think that it is a bit too simple to say that all desires are problems. I wish that he would talk about healthy desires, things that we can get with goals and using the awareness he talks about in this video.

You are absolutely correct and thanks for the very good feedback. The video addresses lusting over all-things-external which can cause internal lowly states. Self empowerment and the pursuit of goals -- while desired -- are completely different. It helps to achieve them when focus is placed on the process rather than the result.

Some interesting thoughts. The ideographs are helpful.
