Brings back a lot of memories for me. I grew up on a farm and we had the pond and the hills for winter fun. Big bonfire by the pond was going on many times while we skated. It is fun to watch a family playing together.

Great shot of the house and pond there at the end! Very idyllic! Also, I love the way you show what you are doing in real-time, and then once we get an idea of the speed it actually takes, you speed it up. Lots of RUclipsrs do that, but they don't do it as well you do.

I am 75 years old and when I was 10 years old I lived two blocks away from a pond on a military academy and each winter the neighborhood kids would curl on the pond. I enjoyed the memories. Thanks!!!
I have both types of Arthritis and my joints are always swollen and aching. I love Fall because I don't experience the level of pain that I have when it is cold. I can tell the day or two before a Low Pressure front comes through. My artificial knees, my wrist that had both been broken several times, and my back/neck require me to take medication to deal with the discomfort. I love to sit and watch the snow and I enjoy your videos mainly because I am not able to actually experience.
@@mikeadams2339 We cross our fingers on most of his ideas. Amazingly, he pushes through any problems to get the results he wants. It will be lovely when he gets a shelter down near the pond, an outdoor fire pit… and the spring fed stream down to the pond. There are a lot more things to be done. But it’s better than we expected!

Adam, check with your local Vol. Fire Dept. and maybe for a small donation they have a old hose that they will give you. It never hurts to ask. Adam, leave those in the plastic bowls, you might have to glue them in. Try it both ways, see which ones work the best. I think the plastic would side the best. Lots of Fun !

That's great Adam. You all had a great time. Winter is my favorite season also, but because of diabetes I can't enjoy it as much as in the past. I just can't keep my hands and feet warm.
Love it! Great to see everyone having fun. Makes the hard work worth it. We used to take a barrel stove out to the pond. Kept the gloves warm and we could make hot chocolate on it too!

As a neighbor of John Shuster in Superior, Wisc. He curled on a curling sheet I helped make on the body of Lake Superior. I bet he would love the cement rocks you made. I now might be making a set of them too. Love ALL your videos Adam. GO USA!!!
I just started watching your channel today after seeing Neil Koch dig your dog fence for you. Poked around and this one caught my eye. Maybe you've already considered this, but thought you should hook a small trailer up to your side-by-side with a tank for water you could heat with your garage stove and create a Zamboni with that.
Now you just need a warming shed near the pond so you don't have to back to the house when you just want a small break from the cold. Then for the summer playtime, you could rig up an outdoor shower on the outside of the shed to clean off the sand.
As someone who lives in Australia and has seen snow once when I travelled 3 hours you might as well be on another planet. It's interesting to watch but I can't think of anything worse than dealing with that cold!

It's a winter theme park in your own yard! They sell plowlike shovels for clearing snow. That might do the trick to clear of the ice after storms.
You have built a beautiful place there. Tubing looks great too, many wonderful memories to come for sure.
