The UN charter has always called for borders to be respected and not violated through invasion. For sustainable peace this simple principle must be defended by all members of the UN. It is an important aspect of everyone’s security, sovereignty and territorial integrity. We have many problems that we should be investing resources into, our shared environment and health and well being of all people and our planet. Putin, you must pull your military back to Russia and work for peace. Real leaders seek peace not conflict. This war was unfortunately completely manufactured and triggered by Russian leadership. Ukraine was a peaceful neighbor that was not at all provoking war.
Putin tried for eight years to seek peace. Do not forget that the actual Ukrainian regime was installed through a coup. An illegal coup. Putin even tried to work with this regime and had Minsk Agreements, sanctioned by UN. What this regime did? Nothing to implement the agreements, and later themselves admitted (Poroshenko) that it was just a ploy to gain time. Putin started negotiations for peace in Istanbul in March 2023, and the West refused. So who does not want peace? Follow the events, and think for yourself, not what MSM tells you.

But this speech you gave today during the 'International Summit on peace' for Ukraine leaves me with two questions:
1. If peace is what we want for Ukraine, why did the president pledge weapons deliveries into Ukraine for the next foreseeable several years?
2. If, as you stated in your speech, the "US supports a people's right to choose their own form of government", then why is there a recording of our deputy secretary of state Victoria Nuland, heard blatantly choosing specific figures to lead Ukraine, after she assisted the overthrow of the previous democratically elected government? And why did she have to cuss, "F_the EU!"?
Finally, why do you keep referring to "International norms and rules", instead of 'international-law' which the UN-Charter is based on.
