Fire = intelligence or Power source?? Ox bones? In Sakkara, Egypt there is many huge granite boxes. No one knows their intended use, but inside at least one was found mainly Ox bones. Any connection??
here's my personal interpretation of the first story: I think Prometheus found himself likened to the existence of humans, who, having been an afterthought after animals, from the god Epimetheus, is similar to how Prometheus's tactics were always an afterthought to pure strength. I think Prometheus found himself wanting to live through man, to see how man would triumph over such struggles, or to experience their power over the earth. He gave humans many gifts, in order for their situations to be likened to his own. I think Prometheus was able to endure his punishment because, even though chained, a piece of him was free in the eagle, free to soar like no other being of his kind. Even though his liver was being consumed, that physical piece of him will stay with the eagle, for as long as it lives. He was able to experience the freedom of an eagle, through his liver in its stomach. However, doing so would eventually lead to the eagle itself acting like the chains on his person, now consuming not only flesh, but his person as well. Only being unchained once the eagle was destroyed. I think that Zeus's punishment was to teach that even though Prometheus can live through humans, his true person will be chained down and consumed, as if chained to a mountain, with a hungry eagle nearby. Through this perspective, it teaches us that we can live through others all we want, but it will eventually lead to us being chained by our ambitions, and killing the relationship with the person we pushed our ambitions onto.
Prometheus creat the humans. He stole fire for them and took a horrible punishment for that. He tought the humans everything they know. And yet, the ancient greek didn’t realy praised him like the gods. They aren’t many stories about him. There weren’t many temples honering him. Poor Prometheus. (Sorry for my bad english.)
Sometimes you have to do the right thing despite the consequences a good man is not judged by what he will do for others 4 reward it is what he will do for others despite his own suffering
Thank you for your gifts and your sacrifice great master. Someday you will be free of thy torment and then vengeance shall be yours. We, the children of the faithful await, even until the end of the world and time itself.
Some notes and remarks are in order. In Antiquity Prometheus was not at all viewed as a "rebel against injustice" or anything of that sort. He was not regarded as very wise or "righteous". The story of Prometheus has been misinterpreted and modified in the last two centuries, especially by romantic writers who made Prometheus look like a hero or benefactor. In short, for many centuries since Antiquity and beyond, Prometheus has been viewed by poets, authors and writers as a lowly, jealous trickster who did not help or benefit anybody by his actions. He stole fire by hubris and envy, hid it or misused it without helping anyone, and he was justly held accountable and punished. Then when the time was right he was justly released by Hercules/Herakles under the instructions or with the permission of Zeus. Zeus was in Antiquity called among other things the lord of justice, the protector of strangers, and the keeper of oaths. People plausibly thought in Antiquity that when Zeus punished Prometheus it was justice, and when Zeus released him it was also justice.
It is the hubris of the ego. How forethought never goes as planned. And solo relying of just thinking ahead doesn't work. Epimethius or hindsight is needed as well for it to equate to us gaining wisdom. So we can end up with our egos plucking at our forethinking and it torment us. Pandora is imagination equated with tiamat and chaos and opening imagination is letting the door out to all monsters of possibilities. The box being our subconscious which holds fears and insecurities among other things. So it makes sense they used promethus as being kinda arrogant in thinking amd not actually being open to things not going his way as he is extremely methodical and logical. Lacking hindsight he probaly cant cinceptualize empathy yet. He doesn't think back on his actions in this sense he just plans and enacts those plans. Jealousy arises when we think about future amd being not where we plan for it to be. It is the start of thinking but not the whole, it is just a part and like all parts has its flaws. This can be how it is seen as a trickster to us when we solely focus on just the future and how our plans can and usually will deceive us when we actually enact them. I think it all speaks towards this psychological aspect of it and understanding the mind.

According to Satanists, Prometheus (or Azazel) gave us fire and Zeus (or God) gave us arson by teaching us to hate. Tools are not good or evil. The way people choose to use them can be either.
Based on your telling, an element that is underplayed here is that Prometheus survived the first War and Humans appear to be his insurance to survive a second. He recognizes to switch sides when he recognizes Zeus will win. However, he needs a plan B for defeating Zeus. In his wisdom, he recognizes Zeus goes the way Zeus's father does. Prometheus's work to form and keep humanity alive is to ensure they reach their destiny to overthrow Zeus with his help. Zeus knew Prometheus crossed sides to help him win. He knows Prometheus is capable of doing it again. Prometheus is the story of the Kingmaker.
Prometheus may have been coeus’ student since he was very intelligent and wise mastering planning. But it is very tragic that he got punished for doing good to humanity.
I think epimethius his brother plays the trickster aspect to prometheus. Since what comes to be is often not what we planned. It is the world and duality itself that is the trick. It's all a metaphor for the mind and how we can oppose natural law through our cognitive brain. Our brain being our greatest tool. Other animals got teeth and claws amd we got a brain capable of creating tools and wielding fire.

I think the Titans might be preserved portraits of the pantheon of Gods venerated by the Indo-Aryans and given to the earliest Greeks as part of the "Foundations of Society" package the Aryans carried into all of the continent to get History started, apparently... Sky Father Hyperion? Dawn Goddess Eos? Fire God of Insight Prometheus, Great Sea Serpent Oceanos, Fertile Mother Gaia, this is just a lazy start noticing Titans who mirror exactly supernatural figures widely agreed to be the Gods of the Aryan proto-civilization.
My interpretation is that when Zeus swallowed his pregnant lover, the two foetuses emerged into one. Having his daughter wear a divine armour and sword (made out of her brother respectfully). Making her the ultimate god of tactical warfare and wisdom.
Another version or explanation of the story of the theft of fire is that Zeus intended to take away (a more advanced way to make and use) fire from humans temporarily, for a few months during the hot season, and humans already knew rudimentary ways to make fire. But Prometheus didn't want to wait. He tried to hurt Zeus and make him look bad, he didn't really care about helping or benefiting anyone. He stole fire from Zeus by hubris and envy, he hid it or misused it, and he was consequently rightfully punished for it.

Prometheus and Epimetheus Προμηθέας and Επιμηθέας (Promithèas and Epimithèas) The names of the two brothers have a very special meaning! Epimitheus Επιμηθέας Επι - μηθεας Επι - μήδομαι-> also think in Ancient Greek Epi - mídomai Thinking after the act!! Pró- means before Epí- means after So, one brother first thinks and then acts (Prometheus) and the other brother first acts and then thinks! (Epimitheus)
The story of Prometheus being involved in the creation of humans was only mentioned in late Antiquity by authors like Plato and Ovid, possibly as an embellishment of the myth. Something that has been forgotten in the last one or two centuries is that several authors in the past stated that Zeus or Jupiter was the same person as one of the earliest most important patriarchs and prophets mentioned in the bible, his story having been modified to comply with biblical monotheism.
Interesting similarity can be drawn to Ohyah and Hayah in the book of Giants. Both only surviving Giants. YHVH comes from the root word Hayah, "to exist". Different Mythologies are so interesting in showing parallels.

Thank you for choosing the less used stories! Very excellent! 💯👍🏻♨️💓
Xerxes would be an interesting story
Zeus is very petty
I always wondered if Hope was included in Pandora’s Box because the Gods believed hope was evil.
Back then, Hope was seen as something that prolonged suffering of the humanrace, as well as keeping the fire of humankind going. Also, fun fact, hope is actually a daemon called Elpis, and the box was actually a jar of sorts. A jar akin to burial jars I suppose. Some think that Elpis came from nyx, the god who helped to push night forward, but it’s still unclear.
Hope had escaped to krypton..
Φ hope is one of the evils. in some versions the only thing in the box. hope is a curse to prolong suffering, in a mirror of the eagle and the liver growing back. gr8 vid.
"A son will be born from him, that will dethrone him"
Does it start with a K by any chance?
Circle K
One of the only titen gods I was ever give praise too.
Thank you legend of history for video 👍👍
Prometheus was really awesome tho 💯
Fire = intelligence or Power source?? Ox bones? In Sakkara, Egypt there is many huge granite boxes. No one knows their intended use, but inside at least one was found mainly Ox bones. Any connection??
Your constant is so good researched. I really love it.
here's my personal interpretation of the first story:
I think Prometheus found himself likened to the existence of humans, who, having been an afterthought after animals, from the god Epimetheus, is similar to how Prometheus's tactics were always an afterthought to pure strength.
Awesome video, watched multiple times to take in. Amazing how much of this stuff hangs around in society today.
Your English is near perfect. No need for apologies.
cyndi afflerbach Thank you.
Lena Storm same thing of Lucifer......
Heracles freed him later.
More sadly Prometheus was the main villain of arrow season 5...
"My darling, I have always loved.... Oh no! Promotheus!"
It seems that Pandora was given a jar, but the box has become so popular that it will likely stay a box now.
You don't say interesting
Sometimes you have to do the right thing despite the consequences a good man is not judged by what he will do for others 4 reward it is what he will do for others despite his own suffering
Zeus: Who gave humans fire!
Prometheus: Wouldn’t you like to know weather boy!
Hi, can you please do a video about the sirens next?
Do cadmus greek myth or african , asian,Chinese or Australian myth. These ( Prometheus )are known stories that people have learnt in the classroom.
I fell so sorry Prometheus gives us fire and we burn things
Ya to keep us warm mostly
Thank you for your gifts and your sacrifice great master. Someday you will be free of thy torment and then vengeance shall be yours. We, the children of the faithful await, even until the end of the world and time itself.
Yesss!!! Love this series so much!! Can't wait for more Titans or Olympians!!
That was so good, I love that name. I learn something new. Thank you very much. 👏🏼
Promethus the Trickster Titan. (Greek History Explained.)
I think it all speaks towards this psychological aspect of it and understanding the mind.
anyone ever watch Supernatural? Gabriel is the trickster archangel
"Amateur hocus-pocus. Don't forget you learned all your tricks from me little brother." Lucifer
@@portablegamerzone but didn't he trick Lucifer by thinking that was him, then it was revealed he was alive the whole time? He tricked Lucifer even though he learned all his tricks from him, he out mastered his master
@@littlemichaeljr6518 He learned from the best. What if i told you the spirit behind Lucifer/Loki/Prometheus is the same spirit playing different characters. Show wise the people loved Gabriel so they brought him back. For the sake of ratings and story.
@@portablegamerzone I'm sorry but what are you talking about? what do you mean the spirit behind Lucifer/Loki/Prometheus is the same spirit playing different characters...lol I can see why you categorized Lucifer/Loki/Prometheus because they all were defiant, Lucifer was defiant to God, Loki is defiant to everyone pretty much including his father Odin, and Prometheus was defiant to Zeus
@@littlemichaeljr6518 Lucifer is an alias for the spirit behind the soul. The spirit behind Lucifer is the spirit mankind calls Love. Though there is no language in this universe capable of describing what the spirit is. Mankind has called this spirit by many names. For example the famous characters i have mentioned to you. This information pertains to the world not the show.
Prometheus gave us fire and we've been trying to burn down all of creation ever since.
Sad part is that you’re not wrong.
God gave us fire, Blowing things up is our idea.
Thats why he was punished .. zues knew the humans was gunna fuck shit up lmao
According to Satanists, Prometheus (or Azazel) gave us fire and Zeus (or God) gave us arson by teaching us to hate. Tools are not good or evil. The way people choose to use them can be either.
As you can see where there's a destruction then after only there is creation🔥. which means fire take but also give.
Thank you! 👍🏻👍🏻
No problem. 😉
Thank you much. This hath provided much help in the concoction of my first novel, in which Prometheus is a protagonist. Beware the Between Spaces...
Zeus simply could've used protection before having coitus.
I love Greek mythology so many miseries that you don't understand and lessons to learn
yeah pretty cool stuff...but i always believed fire/light/illumination was more the awareness and knowledge of reality...
If the Arabs didn’t preserve the Greek mythology we wouldn’t enjoy these stories.
Great video keep up the good work
The war between Jupiter and the Titan Saturn
Prometheus may have been coeus’ student since he was very intelligent and wise mastering planning. But it is very tragic that he got punished for doing good to humanity.
Prometheus is the Titan of healing, technology & fire. Not a trickster diety at all.
But he tricked the gods though
@@ihaventshoweredin6weeksbut527 ok and if I cut hair 1 time; I'm a barber?
@@lionswrath6410 you gotta trim it too not once, twice
I think epimethius his brother plays the trickster aspect to prometheus. Since what comes to be is often not what we planned. It is the world and duality itself that is the trick. It's all a metaphor for the mind and how we can oppose natural law through our cognitive brain. Our brain being our greatest tool. Other animals got teeth and claws amd we got a brain capable of creating tools and wielding fire.
You’re videos are the awesome man! You should upload them to other websites. Actually, I could do it for you. Would you mind if I uploaded your videos on other video platforms?

Can't help but connect similarities of Prometheus and the Serpent
Yes.
Yes.
I've also noticed similarities between both of them and Jesus. ❤
Moral of the story....
Olympus must fall.
Good video 👏👏👏
I think the overthrower of Zeus was Athena's unborn twin well at least that's what I read and the wife was Maia
My interpretation is that when Zeus swallowed his pregnant lover, the two foetuses emerged into one. Having his daughter wear a divine armour and sword (made out of her brother respectfully).
Making her the ultimate god of tactical warfare and wisdom.
I am as thoughtful as Prometheus I dont doubt while sacrificing myself for others but I am also as dork as Epimetheus ...
Prometheus is the hero of humanity. I think the 'fire' he gave is a metaphor for consciousness, which is why Zeus was opposed to it.
Yes Take this 🔥
Prometheus thank you my Lord.....lol
I always felt that God had seen the great evils that man would commit, so he created women as a punishment. This youtube video about a different religion clearly proves my theory correct.
@Mr. Rain123 Because the feminine energy is unnaturally vexing. I believe something that can hypnotize & control a man so easily is not only unholy, but something that should be resisted. Much like with hard drugs, young men should be educated on how to avoid such evils & of the potential damage that a woman can cause to ones mind & society.
Man, society was pretty sexist back then.
@Mr. Rain123 yeah, heck I even heard in some versions of the bible that Lilith, the first actual woman, left the garden of eden because she wouldn't be adam's bottom. You know, power dominance.
Men and women are both men women is only women cause its a men with a womb and men dont got womb and both have masculinity and femininity everyone have both energy we just been program for men to be masculine and suppress their feminine side and women are push to be feminine and suppress their masculinity
@Mr. Rain123 peaceful era? Lol u funny asl no sir this aint peaceful we leaving in chaos era still this what we living is a false world the way life is isnt suppose to be like this we are all slaves with fake freedom so we wont know we been enslaved and again men has the feminine and masculine energy and again women have masculine and feminine energy too women is a men with (wo)mb and men is call men and not women cause they dont have a womb understand men is nothing but a body and a women isnt nothing but a body with a womb know the soul that take on the body dont have no gender for it is only is i am that i am that y u get humans still got men in it cause men is men and women and lil fun fact once u realize men is nothing but a body which is a temple and u learn hu stand god u understand human mean god body for ur body is a temple for god for ur soul
Prometheus and Epimetheus
Προμηθέας and Επιμηθέας
(Promithèas and Epimithèas)
The names of the two brothers have a very special meaning!
Prometheus
Προμηθέας
Προ - μηθέας
Προ + μήτις-> meaning think in Ancient Greek
Pro + mítis
So, Thinking before acting!
Epimitheus
Επιμηθέας
Επι - μηθεας
Επι - μήδομαι-> also think in Ancient Greek
Epi - mídomai
Thinking after the act!!
Pró- means before
Epí- means after
So, one brother first thinks and then acts (Prometheus) and the other brother first acts and then thinks!
Brilliant. Thank you.
We could have been one gigantic sausage party
al katraz lol...it’s still kind of a sausage party......lol
Thank deus that zeus had such a negative view of women huh
Hermès ? Thoth ? Mercury? Ty for all your excellent work ✌️❤️
the trio is thoth hermes / hermes tris and metatron... the scribe the messenger the voice...mercury as you know is the roman name for hermes
Interesting similarity can be drawn to Ohyah and Hayah in the book of Giants.
Both only surviving Giants.
YHVH comes from the root word Hayah, "to exist".
Different Mythologies are so interesting in showing parallels.
So Yhwh and Jesus are brothers? 🤔

It's unsure what Christ's name was because Jesus/Yeshu is an abbreviation for:
YE'machah SHem V'zeker
Their roll in Zeus court? The siege engines Prometheus manufactured. The elephant, rhino and giraffe. Siege engines. And slaves they brought.
Truly inspiring... Thankyou
They should call him "NoSnitchPrometheus"
Prometheus saved us from another's wrath, not his own.
Can you please do a video Hephaestus from Greek mythology.
Yes, he needs to tell us about the forge god
I think he already made one.
Please do a video video on some of the female Divinities of Greek mythology. Nyx, Gaia, Rhea, Mnemosyne, Hestia, Hera, Eris, Aphrodite, Athena, Persephone... Just to name a few!
Prometheus erred when he sided with Zeus and realized his folly afterwards. He then began to plot against Zeus and paid his dues. Let's just say that Atlas has the forethought and Prometheus the afterthought.
If he sided with Cronos, mankind and all of creation wouldn't exist. The titans do not feel the need to create lesser beings and creatures.
@@syrupybrandy2788 Cronos wasn't the leader of the Titans, Atlas was. Those lesser gods weren't allowed in here, they forced their way here. They were the fallen angels who got kicked out of heaven. I think they are the source of most of our problems.
Or maybe he noticed the Gods would win and fighting a battle already lost isn't worth it.
Better to plot a plan that would actually work rather than mindlessly charging and hoping for the best.
@@Sharkakaka it's already established that Prometheus didn't value self-preservation when he went against Zeus. The gods' win was tactical, but their plan was a strategic failure.
very nicely explained
Jupiter vs Saturn is deeper than we know
In Revelation it says the devils seat is in Pergamon or Ancient Greece.
Prometheus sounds a lot like Lucifer. Defies sky daddy, gives humans knowledge, punished with being bound in a terrible place of eternal suffering.
Prometheus invented Libertarianism, change my mind.
Hi could you please share the source of your Hesiod quotations? I’m having trouble finding the line number and translation for those excerpts. Thank you!
Edit: it appears these are from Aeschylus’ Prometheus Bound, though I still cannot find the translation you are using. Please provide some more information on your sources thanks!
This is way better than the bible 😂
Prometheus said if ima suffer youll suffer to💯
Hail to the torch-bearing titan!
It's like Fire is the knowledge from the apple from Eden. Damn.
But at the same time Prometheus reminds me of Christianity's God in the sense that he created man in the image of the angels and loved man.
And then Pandora is like Eve and opening the box is like eating the apple. Which caused problems for everyone.
Idk why I keep trying to match the coincidences. It's just hard to ignore I guess.
Prometheus meant, a bellows and forge to make metal. Judging by the artist's picture.
Kratos (to Zeus): The Gods are Petty and Pathetic and your rule is weak
An inaccurate game 😂😂😂😂🤮
loved the poem
If Prometheus hadn’t created mankind, Zeus wouldn’t have been able to have all those affairs with mortals, ( incidentally this occurred in the origin story of Hercules, who is said to released Prometheus from his torture thousands of years later.)
that mysterious voice, is there any chance that it was Prometheus?
Pro-*makes mankind*
Mankind-*fucks up*

Pro-*steals fire*
