Military members were stationed in Asia, Japan has over a dozen US base and Korea may have over a dozen bases too. That can explain how some of these made it overseas. I started collecting in 1990 while I was at an Air Force base on Crete, Greece. I Mail ordered boxes of cards there. While stationed in Okinawa Japan from 1996 to 2000 there were small 10 table card shows every Sat morning at a different base each week.

That’s another great point and not one that has ever occurred to me! Thanks for sharing.
Since Nat is never going to finish the set, I think I can get the Duncan for a good price at some point 😀
Did they give cards to the players to keep of the PMG?
That’s a good question! I had never heard that being the case so my guess is no
Nat is definitely pulling the Pack green, but only after he adds Laettner and Stockton.. Would be an epic way to complete a set
Hahah that is the only fitting way to end this journey !
He landed the big one!
There's a BaseballPedia. Where's the Basketball version lol
Would have been cool to see his Mount Rushmore but understand why he might not want it shared.
Yeah I think was too hard to decide for him unfortunately! Maybe next time :)
No Mt. Rushmore? :D
Haha unfortunately he said he’d have too hard of a time deciding basically!
strategy no 1.....outbid everyone, strategy no 2: outbid everyone. strategy no 3: hope you are not bidding against nat
