Time for an Anderton's "Sound like Rabea without busting the bank" episode.
same
Pleeease!!! It's about time!
Rabea's sound is all about valve amps, software emulation won't come near it.
Yea it will
I think the Kemper behind him proves that wrong tbh
Awesome video, can confirm it sounds huge live!
Mr Frog!!
Captain Meets Leo? ;)
Mr Leo WHERES MY FRIDAY METAL COVER!!??
hello sir
you all probably dont give a shit but does any of you know of a method to get back into an instagram account..?
I was stupid forgot the login password. I appreciate any help you can offer me.
If anyone else has had the pleasure if seeing Toska live, you would know just how good Rabea's live tones are. I've never heard better to be honest
Luigi Masella yeah his tone, and playing is absolutely phenomenal live
Rabea, you have struck a beautiful balance between very competent, well structured gear reviews and great playing. It's always a pleasure to hear what you're doing. Keep it up!
Such a fantastic vid, Rabea, you are 'D, MAN'!!
+That Pedal Show thank you very much! Although I could myself for being a bit blurry that day ;-)
Looking forward to visiting you again soon for more pedal fun times!
Great video.
That gig rig makes it so flexible. Without that device, the combinations he puts those pedals through wouldn't be possible. I only wish I had the budget for one right now. It's on my "list". :)
Rabea getting the D
Yep... Time for a proper episode with The Man!
You should really invite him to the show and talk about his GigRig setup and so on. Would be mental.
I want to say this is the first video I've seen that demo's a Mimiq in a stereo rig. You're a legend.
I swear you have like the best tone of any guitarist. Ever. It’s like you’re a mad scientist of tone who’s spent years working to discover what perfect combination of gear renders the single best tone in the universe. It’s crazy. I think the next 20 years of my life are gonna be me just trying to match that godlike tone, not that I’ll sound anywhere near as good, but at least I’ll have it. Great work man, you’re the best guitarist out there in my eyes and a huge inspiration.
I've been watching your videos since the beginning of January man. I just want to say you've inspired me get 90% of the pedals I have today due to the without busting the bank and busting the bank videos. You've tought me sooooo much about finding my own sound. What pedals I needed and what suited me. And now I'm so proud of the gear I own. I just want to say thank you Rabea. You are such an amazing guitar player. I hope one day to meet you, Sit down and jam something out. Keep up the amazing work.
The tones, the riffs, the range and dynamics. Dang. Rabea, you are indeed a unique talent. Thanks for sharing your ways!
The coopersonic is halarious. I was crying when you tried to demonstrate it. Sounds like it's about to catch on fire. Love it.
I'm getting chills from those ambient sounds.
I love you, Bea!
Hey Rabea.
SOUND LIKE RABEA MASSAAD WITHOUT BUSTING THE BANK.
You know you want to. Do it. DO IT. :D
CHON
lol
Bea,you've always been an inspiration to me when it comes to effects, and guitar playing! You are one of those guitar players that can jam on some really heavy technical stuff, but you also do great ambience .Thank you for being the guitar player that you are and I am really looking forward to some new Toska material. ;)
Hey Rabea! I've been following you for almost 2 years now, just as long as i've been playing the guitar.
I love all of your Videos to bits but this one Highlights one of the key Reasons i like them so much.
I really felt like i'm being invited into your world to partake in your thought process on how you choose your tones, effects and even how you write your music.
You keep on motivating me to have fun with the guitar while trying to become the best me i can.
Thank you, keep up the good work and rock on!
Sincerly,
a German boy (sorry for my english)
Bea - you are rapidly becoming my favorite guitar player - love you ear for tone and texture and you have phrasing and a groove thing to die for. Superb stuff man.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to see an updated version of this Rabea! Massive pedalboard envy as always
Massive sound! I love your ambient tones, and playing style! Thanks for the video!
Fantastic tones so much clarity for such a crushing sound. Cleans up nicely too.
the sound at 17:30 is every Japanese monster rising from the sea of Japan, simultaneously.
Hail the kaiju!!
Those Illumo intro and Centered and One fuzz tones are easily my favorite on the board!
Patch 3 riffs were awesome! As well as many other riffs too ofc. Your creativity & tightness is next level!
Bro this is one of my fav vidz to watch. I can watch this all day everyday! You are such an inspiration!
Rabea is a monster player. Love the two 5150's sitting back there. My favorite amp ever...smoking tone...
I blinked more times than I can count trying to focus on Bea's face. He's so soft and fuzzy
Keith Jackson But it's kind of cool that the camera focuses on all of the gear behind him as he talks about gear. 😁
Yeah I wish I had the gig rig. I had to settle for a crocodile tail loop switcher. I would give it up in a heartbeat for a gig rig!! You got a lot of great tones Rebea. Love your sound. It's funny when I found out what you used to run it was almost my rig. I ran a Marshall jam 2000 dsl and a peavey 6505 both into a mesa oversized straight cabs. I loved the tone. Trying to save for a Kraken. I think that is one of the best sounding mps out. Thank you Rebea for your knowledge me talent. Do wish either toska or dorje would tour the states would love to see and meet all of you guys. God Bless!!
unhingemike yeah I second the tour North America! Don't forget beautiful Vancouver, bc!!! We would love to have ya's🍻😉
What do you dislike about crocodile tail loop? you have an oc-10, right? I thought it can basically same things as gigrig, just less fancy option, order change option, boost options etc...doesnt it do everything else just on a little more basic level? Cheers
Those sounds, Delays and Swells, are just fantastic. I could listen to that music all day!!!
Rabea, this rig is among the best sounding setups I've probably ever heard. Your playing really makes it, though. Too sick!! Love the Strymons so much!
Rabea you are very original in your guitar licks and also your compositions. Very refreshing to hear. I am not a big fan of heavy metal but the way you play is an another level, very melodic, unpredictable
What an informative massive fantastic workshop! Keep up the good workRabea.
I have to say, that tone shook me to my core. Respect for that tone dude
Those ambient sounds are simply gorgeous!
Awesome lead tone. Awesome attitude. Awesome playing. Zero ego. You're going places Bea.
my, oh my.... those tones are un freaking real! and no mater what anyone says.... it's all 100% necessary! I also gotta say, your chord choice and song writing is just off the charts!
Thanks for this masterclass, it gives some scope on approaching different setups always serving the music. ¡Cheers Rabea!
Ahh yes I have wanted this to happen for so long! Great video Bea, will be hearing it in person in your next london gig!
Hi Bea, you are an inspiration to me. not just guitar playing, but also inspiration in shedding those weight! awesome man!
Now I feel super inspired, holy shit Rabea.
Been waiting for this for a long time. So satisfying.
I really like your use of reverb /delays to get that shimmering dissonance...very eerie and cool sounding...rock on Rabea!
Man those are some amazing sounds and awesome song writing! Great job!
incredible sound, super nice how its soo raw and heavy, but incredibly tight as well, great all round
It sickens me how good Rabea is and how good he is at explaining subjects such as this 😁
Everything Rebea plays, I fall in love with
Your playing is soooo good it gives me goosebumps. Love you and your music man ❤️ cheers
damn! was listening to music and quite satisfied. Started your video and was blown away by the stereo sound...
i don't listen much Dorje or Toska but i like to see how experienced guitarists use their gear, great video!
I just asked myself that question... your pedals and how it all works together... and I totally forgot that you had this video of almost a year ago.. so, thanks Bea.. everything sounds just superb!!
Rabea! That sounds epic! :) Congratulations on your live rig!
more of this stuff please - love the very well recorded stereo audio
The video I've been wanting my whole life has finally came
WOW Rabea... that intro was beautiful!!! great work..
Love that tone at the start! Sounded so Doomy.
Man if anyone deserves a rig like this it is Bea! His playing is just so effortless sounding and natural to him. I hope someday I can play like this. He has helped me most of my gear starting out! I love videos like this. I am so excited to get my Strymon pedals someday down the line. What a legend! So much filth on some of those pedals XD haha.
Your playing and your rig are both insane! Amazing
Thank you Rabea for this demo 👍😊 I love all the tones and effects coming out of that rig. Never knew about the Mimic pedal until now. I want to get that pedal. I would probably never want to turn it off.. lol! 👍😉😜
dude amazing amazing tone! love you Rabea!!
Your tone is so damn massive. I love it!
Straight up inspiring, man. Your rig reminds me of Andy Timmon's, he
also has a lot of pedals but the sound it puts out can define him is as a
guitar player. I'm a guitar player myself, and has frustrations in
getting the pedals I want. Seeing your board makes me inspire to
understand more what I have, make the most out of it...then add more
based on what I still need hahaha! Thank you, Bea.
Damn man that's sick. I run a similar setup with a boss es-8. Always impressed with your playing (extremely clean!) and your riffs and chord progressions always hit the ear well. Super cool!
Awesome rig !!! Killer tones for your killer riffs !!!
That chalk teeth part at 15:38 is easily one of the best licks I've ever heard. I would love a tutorial on that, that'd be wicked. However this was a great vid, Bea!
You are always inspiring.. thanks for all the good work.
You’re the only other guitarist I know who runs a stereo rig! You can’t beat it being in a single guitar band :)
You tone is monster. I just love hearing you play.
Patch 2 sounds absolutely awesome... My goodness. Just immense!
Hi Bea ! Splendid tones as usual. Would you consider making a video showing some of those sweet chords you are using ? You always come out with amazing unusual voicings that really make your music stand out
That Illumo sound/riff at 6:09 is so amazing. I need to get a timeline which is what I'm imagining is doing the multiple delays thing
Love the riffing at 14:22 with that POG. Sounds very progressive, almost Dream Theater esque.
Nick Morris that 5th fret based riff is actually from one of his new songs, A Tall Order I think
It's amazing to me that you get away with that much delay/reverb on a heavy tone. Sounds absolutely immense.
i love this rig dude, sounds immense!
So good sound and playing, true inspiration!!
Dude those ambient swells are hair-raising! Love it!!!
Bea is bae
Yes finally! Killer rig Bea :)
That tone is amazing!!!!
Myself and the other guitarist of our band successfully hunted down 2 Coopersonic Germanic pedals around Christmas last year, and we love them to pieces. I adore my kraken as well
Such chunky tone love it!
best guitar tones I have heard probably..inspired!
15:39 has such a Mars Volta vibe to it !!! beautiful rig and sound !
That was pretty cool, Killer sounds there man!
PLEASE--- Just have to say..your sound is the best I have heard for years. It does influence my search to get this same tone in ways that I can even though my equipment is nowhere near yours. I want to ask...please you are doing the Headrush pedalboard review...please...please make your tone as close as you can so I can get a copy and use it on my Headrush
Wicked sounds, dude! Over at Andertons, this calls for a Toska without Busting the Bank!
Great setup and killer sounds! Love to see you dig a little deeper on the pedal board config and stereo rig setup. Maybe a video of building the board? Where does the ABY fit in the equation and which one are you using? I found a lot of them to be super noisy until I bought a BigShot.
Love this video, this is like the ultimate rig. Though i go for a bit more streamlined.i like to be able to set my rig up at any gig,by myself, in under 10 minutes. Ive really been eyeballing that TC Mimiq,But everytime i bring it up to others who’ve tried it tell me to pass. But no denying bro, youve got sweet tone, and your playing TIGHT bro.
great demo... this is awesome
This sounds awesome through a pair of Shures! great work.
Wow! What a damn awesome rig! Great video!
Chapman guitar oooooooh sweet and that sound!!! And then he plays awsome! Such ambience! Bravo!!!
Man your tones are just amazing. You and Billy Howerdel from Perfect Circle have perfect live tones! Pun intended :D
Incredible sounds!
Fascinating setup, way over my head but fascinating none the less
Love having my name pasted on your pedal board ;)
That intro gave me the feels... great video
thats gotta be coolest, most versatile and inspiring rig ever..
I am glad you pointed out that you see the pedalboard as an instrument. Some people think pedalboards are evil.
Amazing tones!
Awesome and inspiring. Thanks.
killer tones !!
So... My pedal wish list just got a lot longer! Damn pricey watch this video - thanks a bunch Bea 😉
absolute genius. thanks for being such an inspiration!
Rockin' that Fuzz effect on the camera too! Haha.
Great video as always.
