My grandmother was still poking around in the garden when she was 90. I remember one visit, she came around from the back yard to the front to greet us, weed picker in hand, to let us know she was in the back and to join her back there for our visit. : ) She loved her garden.
I actually gasped when She announce how YOUNG she is.!!! That is great! .......... what a wonderful Lady. And the Pink is so beautiful on you Linda.!!! The garden is so beautiful!!!
90 years old still healthy and gardening. will that just made my day hope you keep going as long as you can young lady. all the love from the middle east great channel ♥
My mother gardened up until the last year of her life and she died at 97! She did all the planting and care herself. The only thing I did was prepare her gardening beds. She was amazing!
Linda and Stewart, so relieved to see your video today as I was concerned after hearing of the terrible weather in OK. Also, to your friend's family...welcome to Pennsylvania!
Thank you for all the reminders for new gardeners. I appreciate them so much. All of this information can be overwhelming when starting to take an interest in gardening.
Thanks for the great tip on pinching back the tips of Dusty Miller. I bought a 3” sprig last summer, planted in the garden bed and pinched the tips whenever I thought of it. It grew into a small shrub, and over-wintered well in my zone 7 garden while beautifully highlighting the holiday decor. And it’s still growing like gangbusters after a spring feeding! Genius tip! 👏👍
This was a wonderful episode. I've watched it four times! Thank you to you and Stewart for creating it. Loved seeing Barbara! What an inspiration! Hope your eye is better very soon. God bless ♡
Love everything in the garden but I think what your wearing today is a 10 the color is pretty like that beautiful shrub thank you for doing the walk about Wednesday hope your eyes get well quickly 🦋
Another great video how fun to shop for Jade with those beautiful baskets looks great in your family room by the window. what did you get for the smaller basket? Leah sweater was so cute and matched your kitchen decor, you always look elegant love your boots. Thanks for another fun video and glad you are safe from the storms.
So Linda…you were very gracious to visitors to your garden.Alison and her friend who have no gardening interests but Alison’s mom Mary Ann (NJ) and her dear friend Mary Ann (Maine) who follow you religiously. Thank you and maybe 1 day MA and MA MAY MAKE THEIR WAY TO OKLAHOMA to pay a visit
At 15:41 I noticed the neighbours’ chairs set out next to the foxgloves, larkspur and allium show. They must love the view. Linda, l’m guessing your garden is everyone else’s borrowed landscape. 🎉😊❤
Your seeding trowf. in my family is called "Grandpa's planter". It's VERY SPECIAL! He had two. I have two children. I gave each one, one . They take special care of them, because they cherish them!
You put such effort into your gardening and love every moment you are out in nature. So nice to see, as some homeowners have cut back on their gardening efforts and choose low maintenance! Sorry to hear about your eye infection when you were away but glad you are better. Getting late so will continue watching tomorrow! Your videos are fun to watch and learn from.
I love the flagstone path on Lemon Lane. Do you think you might ever make similar paths throughout other parts of your garden? Beautiful structure in winter.
Chocolate cosmos would look great around your garden, also meteor shower verbena as both are whimsical tall gorgeous! Perfect for your beautiful garden.
Linda, your flower beds are beautiful. As is the window box..I am enjoying the color and the other plants you put together. Sorry to hear about your eyes too. Do take care. Don't want you hurt.❤ pat
HAPPY MAY DAY TO YOU LINDA AND STEWART AS WELL!! Garden is looking awesome!! I’m so proud here in Pensacola fl I seeded Larksboro in Jan direct sowed on at rainy day and lo n behold I have 2 that sprouted beautiful blue blossoms will so continue this again I’m not picking it so I hope the seeds scatter about..
I love your baskets you sold on QVC! I have two of them. The larger one we use in the summer for the grandkids pool toys and the smaller basket I carry around in the back yard for weeding and it’s pretty so I leave it outside in different areas in between weeding and dead-heading. I would buy more if they were available.
Thinking first time commenter (maybe not), however, just want to say I really enjoy you channel. I always leave with new ideas and inspiration. Your gardens are beautiful.
Gorgeous everything! My lettuces have all bolted already. I'm thinking I should plant some in pots and grow them in the shade on the porch. But, really, your garden looks so fresh and healthy! ❤I'm running out of time to fix the leaks in my irrigation.😮
Another regional pronunciation or phrase… is it I’ll be “dern” or I’ll be darn(ed). Dern or Darn is the question of the day! Beautiful garden and oh to be that healthy & sharp at 90 like your special guest today.
I love all the different plants in your front garden.....so many interesting things to look at! Did the cleome reseed? They were my favorite plants in your garden last year😊 It’s so special that the neighborhood children are enjoying all the different blooms in your garden😊
Hi from Annie, think did mention that saw a doco on poison plants it was a UK doco of their royal gardens and one was a wparate garden fenced off it had plants known to be poisonous and Fox Glove is one of them their pollen is poison. Your garden is great does not need to be as you say particular order it is not wild at all but very natural. Love that pink top you have on it is one of your best colours.
The cottage garden looks beautiful! 😍 I started some boxwood basil seeds 2 months ago based on loving them in your garden last season. QUESTION: Do I pinch them back? They look kinda wild right now. Or will they eventually take on that rounded mounded look?? 💚💚💚💚💚
Could you give us a few more specific details about the foxglove seeds and overwintering for biennials? When best to sew and transplant to overwinter. Thanks
Linda, do all Foxglove take the full sun? I’m having a real time with them in Kansas. We are now zone 7a… they refuse to grow for me. I love your visit from a neighbor. She reminds me of my mom so very much!
I notice every time you mention an item that was in your QVC line, it is no longer available. Will you be adding new products to your line or was that a one season foray? The garden is looking lovely! I went to the nursery yesterday and found a 4 inch purple ball basil, a variegated lemon licorice that I love spilling out of pots , fever few , lambs ear and nepeta. Can't wait to get in the garden tomorrow morning.
O had one of the Spiral Gardenias, but it did not make it. This was when they first came out. I have not seen anymore. I wanted to try again because it was beautiful. I assume I can order this on line at, Better Homes and Garden, right? Gardenias are picky in my limited experience. When you find a place they thrive, leave it there. I have planted a lot of new plants and am looking forward to them taking off in the next week. Texas 9😊
What type of trees are in your front yard? I am specifically interested in the multi trunk trees that were behind you in your discussion of layered planting. I tried to find the tree names in earlier videos but couldn't find them. Thx!!
I’ve been growing scabiosa (pin cushion flowers) every summer, en masse, in pots. I just love them and so do the 🐝🐝 and butterflies. In Missouri, they like a little shade in the heat of mid summer, and lots of water, probably because they’re in pots, I keep them well mulched and they are gorgeous all summer. They don’t over winter very well though, here, even in the ground. 🫤. There is something so satisfying about deadheading them! ☺️. They look like baby allium! What a lovely fellow seasoned gardener your lady friend is! Bless her heart!!
To put a butterfly candy and the components of the window box in a container, you mentioned you would need a large container. What size were you thinking?
Was worried about you in all those storms!!!! You have to tell us how it was. I watch one youtuber who had a tornado pass right behind her house while she and her 3 little girls were in the stone basement in Iowa. Roly polys take heavy metals out of the soil.
Deadheaded, but not pinched back. Even with that, it only lasts a certain amount of time before it has to be pulled out. But let some of the seed dry and drop.
Soo beauiful and established your garden looks Lida 🥰. I get confused. Can anyone tell me why when boats or airplanes are in danger they call out Mayday Mayday? Because Linda said Happy Mayday??? And to me as English is my second language person that sounds really strange! Please help! 🙏

Your friend is an inspiration! 90 years young! You GO girl!
I actually gasped when She announce how YOUNG she is.!!! That is great! .......... what a wonderful Lady. And the Pink is so beautiful on you Linda.!!! The garden is so beautiful!!!
Oh my goodness Barbara, 90+, amazing Lady! May we visit her garden please.
90 years old still healthy and gardening. will that just made my day hope you keep going as long as you can young lady. all the love from the middle east great channel ♥
I love how your neighbors arrange their seating to overlook YOUR garden!!
Think they were there first. You think.
I noticed THAT also! LOL
@@QueenAyeee no this is the first time I have seen those chairs there. But I certainly can't blame them! What a beautiful sight to overlook!
Linda, I think it's time that you did an in depth look into using your journal
So glad to know that you and your husband are ok! God bless all those hit wit such horrible weather recently
My mother gardened up until the last year of her life and she died at 97! She did all the planting and care herself. The only thing I did was prepare her gardening beds. She was amazing!

I've been thinking the same. Thank goodness you're safe. Prayers for all those who were affected by the terrible storms ❤

Happy May Day from Germany 👋 Linda, in addition to the garden, your ARMS are looking fantastic! 🌿💪🌺
I love the flagstone path on Lemon Lane. Do you think you might ever make similar paths throughout other parts of your garden? Beautiful structure in winter.
A few months ago I suggested you may like the purple globe basil from bakers seed. I was so excited to see you’re going to try it! Hope you like it!

Your garden's looking gorgeous Linda! Love the slightly wilder look, also all the pink and purple shades.
Looks great!
I also have a “nursery” container that I put bits and pieces of trimmings and cuttings. They stay safe and I know right where they are.
Everything is just beautiful Linda. I grow Spicy Globe Basil and it also forms the most gorgeous balls of basil.

Can larkspur be pinched back or deadheaded to increase continuous blooms?
Deadheaded, but not pinched back. Even with that, it only lasts a certain amount of time before it has to be pulled out. But let some of the seed dry and drop.
