on xbox- how do you get the build function to start up once you are in a building? ie how do you start the decoration process inside a structure like a hab. seems like you cant open the airlock in build mode and I cant seem to figure out how to get build mode to start once I am inside...
@@redsix5165open your scanner and in the bottom it says outpost, press the button for that to start decorating wherever. And even when your in build mode your able to unlock the airlocks still
@@MillsBuilds thank you!!!
@@MillsBuilds so i finally tried this out. At first, same thing happens but at least now I know how to get to that build screen without going to an outpost/item and interacting now 😅. It turns out that you cant open the door with anything in your hand. So you have to also switch modes to rid yourself of the item from your hand. Then you can open the door. And now all I need to do is use the method you suggested to start building once inside the building. Ty ty!!
Thank you for the ace video! Subbing right.....now!
there is also a store on neon in the core where you can buy odd decorations/sculptures and if you drop them at your outpost/house you can physically moce them when you enter outpost build mode!
This is exactly what kind of video I was hoping for. Especially showing not only each item per rank but also all of the variants. Thank you for such a great showcase.
Great to hear! Glad the video could help. You would think there’s something in the game that explains what your unlocking with the research upgrades.
Get a lab coat and pop some stims like Synapse Alpha before you research. The free resources fill from the top down so try to use the resources you have the most of, first. There are skills to reduce resource requrement too.
These videos are great. I like you displayed the available objects and that clearly took some effort. Thank you.
Thank you! It’s actually wild that Bethesda didn’t add anything to show you what it was that you unlocked after unlocking each decoration tier.
IVE BEEN LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO SHOW ME HOW TO GET THIS!! THANK YOU!!🙏🏾
No problem! Glad it could help
This video was a nice find and by accident and an awesome video. I did not realize how many things were in the decoration section. I need to play with the settlements more.
Glad it could help! Thanks for watching 😊
Thanks for your video. Eagerly waiting for that DLC to bring new options for decorations to the game.
No problem, thanks for watching. And me too!
Amazing video and very informative, so thank you on behalf of the community! BUT! I'm still pissed at Bethesda for magically locking away the other 95% of decorations we see everywhere in the game. Why can't we have access to all of them?!?!?!?!
Thank you!! And it bothers me so much too! The throw pillows on couches, little garbage cans and buckets, you can pick up pool balls but not pool sticks on pool tables. Well you can pick them up , they have physics you just can’t place them in your inventory it’s definitely frustrating.
I mostly play "Bounty Hunter" type builds, so my favorite locations on planets are "Abandoned Hangers". After killing all the bad guys that occupy it, I will seriously spend hours walking around the complex weeping to myself: WHY CAN'T I DECORATE MY OUTPOSTS LIKE THIS?!?!" Oh, and also, would it be too much to ask for color variations?! Great I unlocked the giant couch with 'Decorations 2'... but only in Gray?!?! Why can't I have it in orange like I see all around New Atlantis?!?! Ugh, sorry...@@MillsBuilds
Many thanks for this amazing guide
Awesome! Could you do one for the display section too?
There’s also decorations you can unlock by doing certain quests.
I’m aware of the Space Frog posters! what other ones are there?
Yes. I got a free monster head to decorate when I completed "LEADER OF THE PACK" quest in Akila city.
Thank you !!! I know what I’ll be doing today .
thank you. I am crying because I want to same options like we had in Fallout4. My guess is they did this by design...as they will release a paid DLC that unlocks all the cool furniture, etc.
Unfortunately you’re probably right. The same did happen with FO4 in a way too, although I think FO4 settlement building was in a better place on release day compared to outposts on release. But FO4 building got much better over time which I suspect Starfields will too. DLC and mods to look forward to, only a matter of time.
Thanks! Appreciated.
I watched your penthouse video. Where did you get that shelf that was part glass? It was in the hallway and the room with barrett memorial. It had the duck on it. Great video by the way. Extremely Helpful.
Thank you dude! And that is in the display tab at your outpost. Everything in this video is either in the furniture or decoration tab at your outpost. I probably should have also included the display tab in the video because it basically is furniture.
super helpful, thanks!
Note: If you build furnitures or anything from the console counts as Outpost modules . I max out my skills very fast from just building furniture and other components at my UC condo in the residential districts in New Atlantis .
This was very useful! I'm surprised how little they offer for the final Deco 3 level. Cheapskates lol.
Hopefully, the mod community will make up with this next year. It is currently so limited, I want to go back to Fallout4 as there is just tons and tons of very cool stuff to fill your house with.
@@senju2024 You were right. There are several mods adding tons of decorations, and lots of outpost structures and stairs, even with tall foundations. For outpost building it's improving fast. Game is still weak, but outpost building is getting good. lol
Does the safe hold unlimited storage the way the lodge safe does?
No unfortunately not.
Can you plant in the empty planter?
Unfortunately not. You can place a plant on top of it but you can’t actually plant in them.
What planet is your outpost on?
This was all done on Jemison the main planet you go to with New Atlantis.
this game is such a disappointment. so much hype for just another AA game sold @ AAA prices.
Thank you!!!
