It's worth mentioning with the metal horns one that there's a much lesser known band called Coven who also claim to have created the metal horns. Supposedly the lead singer was in the occult, and that was their symbol before any band used it, although a lot of this is just conjecture.

Your devil horns question, gave me an idea for a horror movie. It’s metal but is a mix of it follows, trick or treat, Jennifer’s body and disneys the big green. Different people going to different concerts and not following proper concert behavior. So dying off, one by one, possible band mascots seeming very real depending on what concert they’re at and which bands agree to be in the movie. Ears bleeding, violent drumstick usage, and pyrotechnics all ensue. But by the end maybe they were all in the same band originally or pissed off the wrong satanic band and had a curse on them. I’d definitely watch

    Um, actually...
Bathory is considered the first viking metal band (from Sweden, yes), but most of the early viking metal bands were from Norway. Later, with bands like Amon Amarth, there was a Swedish trend. The majority are now both Norwegian or Swedish, but really they are from all over Europe, and I think even an Australian band or two.

Idk why this video reminded me of this story but it did. I wasn't there for this but I heard about it from a large group of friends who witnessed it. I had a friend in high school who was a huge fan of Korn and had the most ridiculous crush on Amy Lee. Like if he wasn't talking about Amy Lee he was talking about Korn. When we were 15 or 16, there was a huge event nearby that had like 20 or 30 bands doing signings and selling merch and stuff and both Korn and Amy Lee were there. My buddy was so excited that he was practically wetting himself in line but when he got to the front of the line, the frontman for another band (I won't say who cause I can't prove it and don't want to get sued) stuck his foot out and tripped my friend who was both very short and acting like an excited puppy. My friend landed flat on his face perfectly sprawled out directly at Amy Lee's feet and got so embarassed he ran to the bathrooms and cried for half an hour. But one of the guys from Korn saw the entire thing and almost beat the other guy's ass before security got involved. Then he went and found my friend and gave him a whole bunch of free signed stuff. Some of the people who told me about it said Amy Lee laughed when my friend got tripped, other's said she didn't, but they all agreed she also tried giving him a signed album and he was too embarassed to take it. Idk how much of that story is true, but I do know he lost his crush for Amy Lee pretty quick afterward and he based his entire personality around Korn after that.

I think that you guys should actually do an entire episode on Gerard Way. He's the coolest person that's gone under the radar for so long.

Zakk Wylde used to have a mic stand made out of a length of chain welded stiff. It was pretty cool for being simple.

It was Dio. But Gene Simmons did it on the Love Gun cover in 1977. Well the artwork any way. He also sometimes played with his index finger and his pinky. So that’s were Genes deal came in, he just used to play with those fingers.

Gaahl did do that, but for context, the guy he tortured was an intruder. In some American states, he could have legally shot him dead.

I'm surprised I knew the answer to the first one before the options where revealed. I know like 3 Iron Maiden songs.

3:00 Yes he's called Eddie the Trooper, not even a Maiden fan, just born in 1982 so I'm involuntarily privy.
10:05 Gaahl was the guy in the Headbanger's Journey interview that famously said "..............................................................................................Satan."

Deicide was also played at Guantanamo Bay. Specifically the song Fuck Your God.
Got all correct except the last two questions that weren't metal.

The Trooper is a song about the Light Brigade, and Trooper Eddie is just regular Eddie as a trooper, Eddie has been a lot of things depending on the album or even shirt. Dios Horns came from either his mother or grandmother as a way to ward off the Moloch, or to give it in the form of the evil eye. Dio said in the Dio Doc that it was like Ozzys peace signs, *change peace sign to horns* but its ME now. I believe the Viking Metal is being attributed to Bathory who WAS and technically IS black metal, but more of the first wave, along with bands like mercyful fate, the first slayer, sepultura, etc. Hans Ruedi Giger designed the mic stand, a couple of them actually, I believe Davis has 2. He designed the Xenomorph, and its other forms, Sil from Species, and a version of the Bat Mobile. My band is named after him, GIGER. That man Gaahl tortured I think broke in, and he decided, "well since you're here...". Deicide I believe was ANOTHER band used, specifically with the song Fuck Your God for muslims. Classic joke, "What has 9 arms and sucks?" "Def Leppard." I don't know who is buying the black album because everyone has a copy, I assume you get one when you're born. Bob Rock did work with Bon Jovi, but was picked by Metallica for his work with Motley Crue. Know nothing about MCR other than Gary Holt of Exodus likes them because his daughter likes them. Evanescences music makes more since considering the lyrics AND the therapy.

    1) Iron Maiden 2) Before you even bring up the multiple answers it was Ronnie James Dio/RJD era Black Sabbath 3) Vikings came from Norway so I'm going with that....wasn't Mayhem also from Norway? It's Google time! Yes, I was right. Wow I was wrong about the first answer though, I thought it was both. 4) Korn's Jonathan Davis I saw it on Stevie's Metallica Icons video, it's pretty weird. 5) Varg Vikernes I say that because he was sent to prison for killing Euronymous while he was in Mayhem and made pendants out of their singer's skull after his suicide. He's not someone I'd want to keep company with that's for sure! There are a lot of Mayhem references in this one....interesting. I had no idea he got into another band after his release. Oh wait a minute, hold up!! During another one of Stevie's videos where he put face filters on characters in iconic movies which included a Gorgoroth video he put a few on Gaahl while he was drinking what we could hopefully assume was wine...maybe it was this guy's blood? That's doubtful though, it wasn't thick enough unless they watered it down maybe? Hmmmm....something to think about. Oh wow okay so I was right after changing my mind. Nope, I don't watch too much Stevie at all!! Paahaahaa!! I can't help what comes on autoplay, I just go with it....mostly. 6) I have no idea but I'm going to take a wild stab in the dark...don't get in the way or you might get hurt! lol Just because I'm with Austin and I've never heard of them I'm going with Skinny Puppy but a second guess would be Marilyn Manson especially if they show his videos. I can handle his music if I hear it on Spotify or whatever but his vids are waaaaaaaaaayyyyy too disturbing for me. Well okay I wasn't wrong either way. 7) Car accident 8) I could be wrong but I think it's "The Black Album" "....And Justice For All" would be a close second I imagine. 9) My Chemical Romance though I don't remember why. Thanks Jared, now I know. 10) Amy Lee but again not sure if it was her own....which would be pretty ironic.
