      LP actually got an entire generation of lil black kids into rock too. FOB Evanescence Panic even a lil earlier with Blink but LP and Chester’s voice was a watershed moment in the community. Not many of us ever thought we’d diversify our playlists.

      There are at least 20 other people out there right now who can replicate this just fine. Dude was good, but I just don’t see what the hype was about. I still remember the first time I heard them. I was in 4th grade at a friends house and we were making prank calls. The year was 2000, I think.
      Even then I knew how depressing the music was.

      True but imagine how much more his mental health would suffer. I used to love bleed it out and some of the other popular songs like numb and in the end when I was very young. At this point the hybrid theory album was already around 13 years old. Recently I got back into linkin park and like a lot of songs I didn’t listen to when I was younger. It sucks he didn’t get help but in his position, it’s very hard to get help for mental health when you’re barely struggling, I couldn’t imagine how it was for him eventually leading to his actions of leaving early

    I don’t think it will ever exist such talented screamer ever. He was my best dark night companion….I owe him everything. I was sleeping with his music on repeat all night…may sound crazy but his screams were just making me calmer. Love you Chester, unfortunately I never had the luck to participate to any of your concerts and this will be one of my biggest regrets. Miss you ❤

    Lincoln Park got me through life after my unaliving attempt in middle school in the 6th grade. Lincoln Park with Chester was one of the most talented bands to exist. They will always hold a special place in my heart ❤

    When I was 5 I would sing to every song on the cd while I was showering and my dad would run in when shut up when I’m talking to youuuu shut up came on but would never turn it down or off he only did it so my mom thought I wasn’t learning anything bad.. but my dad understood why I needed it 🤟🏼🖤🎶 thank you and much love Chester I miss you and your spirit

    My Mom, as an older woman, was a huge fan of LP, especially this song. Was a voice for a lot of her rage about other people in her life. This is was a lifeline for me and her. When music can transcend generations…
