    I love this informative series, being a pass junkie! I also think that Seweweeks is the most exquisitely surreal place in SA. I'm about to do it for the third time in 30 years.

      Would you say that this pass can be driven in an ordinary car? Need to travel that way but we don't have a 4X4/bakkie

      @@joyellick1662 Yes indeed. We had a standard little Nissan 1400 bakkie. I wouldn't go after heavy rain though.

    I was one of the first people to ever go up the God help me pass with a vehicle.
    My father who had the Willy's Africa franchise was approached by Firestone to make a promotion film. Think it was mid sixties . I did have photos of floating the jeep across the orange river.

    I recently took family to see the poort. Really awesome! 60km/hr is too fast we traveled 40-20km. There's so much to take in & a surprising amt of wild life. Needless to say they were very impressed. We shall be back ;)
