    Hi Vicky, thanks for another great video and puzzle (we’ve bought it) and also the lamp which can be shipped to Australia. We used your discount and it’s on its way (we do not have lamps like this here, and if they do exist are very very expensive) so thank you for the promotion. As always, happy puzzling from Melbourne.

      Oh hugely! Good light is so important, especially when there are lots of dark areas too!
      Yay! So glad you bought the puzzle - a lot of people seem to have this one, it’s exciting to know that so many others are building or will build it - feels like a puzzle along!
      Thank you for letting me know about the volume. I must admit I never noticed an issue with the volume either, but it’s good to get feedback on it. 😍

    i can’t imagine how you have the patience to do large puzzles, especially the sorting. i’m big on sorting my pieces, but also i get impatient with it and sometimes take a break to put together what i’ve already sorted. and that’s with a 1000 piece puzzles, lol. i love watching them being put together though. if i could ever get ahold of the educa life puzzle i would love to do it one day, but that would be years away.

    I'm in the middle of this section too .
    I found the puzzle leads into starting at the top then around the side then the bottom.
    I have to Dmit I've cheekily done a chunk of the dragon wings and legs as I kept looking at the pieces due to my puzzling method.
    Glad your enjoying this puzzle, can't wait to see you tackle the 5k pokemon one when you get round to it.

      Yes, my friend built the same way, but had done a lot more dragon than I had at this point too. Had to take a pause on it for a little to do some Christmas puzzles, but I cannot wait to get back to it!

      I've completed Bag B now, have to say that I found it a little easier and more enjoyable than Bag A as there was more variation in the darker shades.
      May I ask who he friend is your doing it with (you don't have to answer if you don't want to).

    • @Vickymakesandbuilds
      @Vickymakesandbuilds  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Sorry this response is a little delayed. That’s interesting, I am assuming I’ll find bag A more enjoyable because the dragon doesn’t dominate the section quite so much, but maybe I’ll be like you and enjoy B more! I guess we’ll find out eventually, when I finally get back to it! 😆
      I don’t mind answering! It is a good friend of mine over in the US. We have similar taste in puzzles and so have a lot of the same puzzles. I knew he’d done bag A, so I jumped in on bag B with him 😊

    • @Vickymakesandbuilds
      @Vickymakesandbuilds  6 месяцев назад +1

      Ah, yes space can be an issue with the biggies - that’s why I like it when the larger puzzles have sections that are 1 - 2k. Like the Clementoni 13k ones are 2k sections, the Trefl 9k ones are 1.5k. It is a lovely puzzle, I agree, I’m also a big dragon fan so I I was bound to love it! 🐉

    Hi again, I bought 2 more Educas - the 4000 Piece Constellations which is really nice and the 8000 piece Dream Town - I'm really hoping that comes in 2 bags LOL, though given that their 6000 ones are all in one bag, maybe that's wishful thinking. I also bought an older 4000 Zodiac Educa from someone on ebay recently that is really nice - I really need to start working on them and stop buying. I'm sorting through bag 4 of the Wildlife one at the moment as I think that might be the clearest one to start with - once i finish the sorting (boring) then I can get going on it. Plan is to then sort panel 2 of the 24000 Piece life one while working on a section of something else. You are probably like me - you have so many it's hard to choose what is next on the list.

    • @Vickymakesandbuilds
      @Vickymakesandbuilds  6 месяцев назад

      Hi! Yay 😃 they are lovely puzzles! I would imagine that 8k would be split into two maybe? 8000 pieces is a lot to have in one bag! I hear you on the start building and stop buying thing - that is also my problem - and many puzzlers’ problems I imagine 😆. I think that’s a good place to start with Wildlife - I’d say section 3 is when they really start to get manageable, up to around section 8. 2 and 9 aren’t too bad, but 1 and 10 are difficult (well 1 was, I assume 10 will be too!)
      I am very much like that, it is so difficult to choose the next puzzle when there are so many great ones to choose from, and when I keep acquiring new ones too! 😆

    Where Vicky leads… love this puzzle! I’ve thought about doing this dragon puzz… definitely would not mix the bags! Partly a space consideration, and partly because I don’t feel a desperate urge to sort _that_ many pieces! Currently, I’m working on the Clementoni 6000 “Venice Evening Sunset,” my largest piece count to date - certainly the most pieces all at once. I’m curious - how would you compare the difficulty between these two? For some of the larger same-texture areas of the Clementoni it feels a little like picking up iron filings with a magnet. Sort of. Two pieces together here and there, get enough little two-bits and eventually they start to clump together.

    • @darrylbatchem8985
      @darrylbatchem8985 7 месяцев назад +1

      I recently did the Clementoni 6000 Venice Evening Sunset which was a lot of fun. I did it on a trestle table for the top half and on two boards for the bottom lower half left and right. Juggling boards around eventually laying it out on the floor for photo presentation and rebox. Next ...

    • @Vickymakesandbuilds
      @Vickymakesandbuilds  6 месяцев назад

      He he! I do not blame you for not wanting to mix - sorting 9k is a chore and a half!! However, I’m glad to be able to say I’ve done it once. That’s enough for me 😆. If you can do 6k then you can do any large puzzle. As far as I know, no larger puzzles are separated into bags of larger than 6k. Even the 42k and 24k Educas are no larger than that in terms of the sections.
      I really really enjoyed the Venice Sunset puzzle. If I was to compare difficulty I would say that Venice is a little easier. Although bigger, section wise, it is very sortable and has lots of lovely areas that you can put together without much fuss. The most difficult part I found was that dull pink building on the left. The dark parts on the dragon puzzle are more taxing than that though I think.
      Yes, Clementoni do have a tendency to have pieces stuck - I usually take them apart unless it’s a particularly difficult puzzle or it would damage the pieces to do so 😊

    • @Vickymakesandbuilds
      @Vickymakesandbuilds  6 месяцев назад +1

      I also did mine in parts - I did it on 4 foam boards, it worked out rather nicely - that was before I got the big board though 😍
      What are you working on next?

    • @MrFiddler1959
      @MrFiddler1959 6 месяцев назад

      @@Vickymakesandbuilds I went back and rewatched your Venice Sunset video. I think you did a more thorough initial sort than I; it seems like the most distinct patterns/textures are in the right vertical quarter. That part is nearly assembled right now. It’s reassuring to hear about that pink building… 😜. As to what’s next? Too early to say. This puzzle lives on a 4’x8’ sheet of plywood on sawhorses in the basement and I go down nearly every night and work on it for an hour or two. I’ve already been working on it for about a month at a relaxed pace, listening to audiobooks or bingeing old favorite shows on an iPad. It may very easily take me two more - so there’s time to look around.
      Meanwhile, upstairs on the dining room table there’s a Galison 1000 piece, “Naranjas” which I think is absolutely beautiful and deserves to be assembled in daylight, rather than under fluorescents. It’s nice to have something smaller going on as a change of pace! I’ve also recently acquired two 1000 piece puzzles from Unified Pieces: “Stevland” (Stevland Hardaway Morris - Stevie Wonder) and “La Canción Del Desierto.” The Stevland puzzle was a joy to do, Desert Song will be after finishing Oranges.

      They have posters in the 5ks, and then you might randomly get one in smaller puzzles like their circle of colours - it would be useful though since the logo and the annoying puzzle piece on the boxes obscure some of the images on the box.
