@@pH-JPEGcan you tell me why on the last tier 2 is apparently better than 1? Afaik bugs only explode on direct damage, at least according to the description of the mod. I don't get the upsides and some enlightenment would be highly appreciated.
Ok, so tier 1 only works in close proximity and only when you are firing. Tier 2 is just better cos it's much more common to finish off already burning bugs than trying to set everything close to you one fire using sticky fuel
@@thetute59 iirc, and i specifically talking about haz 6x2 and above, the Targets Explode mod is mainly used to quickly, and efficiently clear out cloud of Naedocyte shockers cause the explosion deal aoe damage to every nearby Naedocytes. It's not the best method to deal with Naedocytes but a niche tool to have in teamplay. Enemies on haz 6 also move faster and hit harder than haz5 with greater increased in density which could chomp you down in seconds. This is why Heat Radiance is not picked here because it only takes effect when you are surrounded by bugs already up against your face and you don't want that. Driller should always set up sticky flame proactively and keep distance from the bugs as far as possible. If the bugs are up his face then Driller should drill a tunnel to safety and create choke point for more sticky flame value. Of course this is not me saying Heat Radiance is "bad" on modded difficulty, you can totally make it work with different setups and OCs. This is just the most efficient way to play Sticky Fuel. On haz 5 and below, you can take either option based on your personal playstyle, it really doesn't matter.

@@wrathybear very nice and thorough answer, thanks!
What overclock do you have on your sidearm
Energy Rerouting, though these days everyone uses Persistent Plasma instead.
