Fucking nice! Been playing guitar since I got my first guitar, a Kramer Focus 4000, Japanese made Rhoads V, with a Maple neck and an original Floyd Rose, at 14 in 1986, and started working on guitars the second day I owned it, replaced the stock pickups with a set of DiMarzio humbuckers. Replaced those two weeks later with a set from Seymour Duncan. Still own it. Started playing bass a few years later. Started building guitars and basses a few years after that. This video and Trogly showing the Korina (Limba) V stuff, is really making me want to build a V... First time on your channel. Sub.
I own this guitar, can confirm my pickup selector is also wired in reverse. Also, this is a limited edition "Halloween" release. I bought this guitar and made no mention to my band of a new instrument purchase. I walked in on jam night with this swinging off me and acted like everything was normal, the reaction was priceless 😂🤘
@@Buttface1981 the previous owner replaced the original pickups with Emg's so I figured that he got his wires crossed (pun intended 😁) when he installed them. When I saw this I assumed maybe they were all like that 🤷♂️
Actually they’re not. Solar has immensely simplified it. Let’s take the A1.6TBR for example. A - body type, 1 - Series (1 being more expensive, and 2 being less expensive) 6 - Number of strings TBR - Color. In this case, Trans Blood Red I knew what it was going to be before even seeing the whole name (I’m not trying to dig on either of these brands, I actually prefer this naming scheme)
@@gabewilliams7462 Yeah I totally agree, I like the Ibanez and Solar names but I'm just sick of people moaning about Ibanez names being descriptive codes when other brands also do it. Solar have the benefit of being new so it being simpler, as well as not mentioning stuff like different woods or pickup configuration so they're not as long.
@@matheaudodds787 everything below prestige line is also made in Indonesia just like all Solar guitars what makes the comparison even more appropriate ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Always love the songs you write on these vids. You're the kind of guitarist everyone would want in their band, full of riffs and great at song writing.
The thing about flying Vs is that they are super comfortable while sitting down. At least for me. I just stick the lower horn right between my legs and BAM! The guitar stays exactly where I need it.
To add on to your point, V’s force the player to play it in the proper position when sitting down, classical position. Classical position is also how most guitars situate themselves when you’re standing up, so you become more consistent as you’re playing with your guitar at the same angle every time. V’s enforce that good habit.
I’ve also got a solar V and honestly the best part is the shape. Not only does it look cool, it also feels really ergonomic sitting down and is perfectly balanced when standing up. It has several hardware issues though so that’s annoying
I've been playing mine for a little over 2 years now and it's honestly my favourite guitar and guitar brand. I can't wait to get another one when I can afford it haha
Awsome review, and I can't wait for mine to arrive. I'm getting this exact guitar. Although they use a different wood for the body now. Fantastic playing man🤘😆🤘
I'd love a Solar But honestly the reason I like Vs is because I play in the classical position sitting down, and it is my favourite shape to sit down with if I don't have a strap handy.
I have the neon green V and it’s great! I had to put an extra pedal on my board to boost the sound to make it sound more active since it has passive pickups
I have 2 Solars. I have a Type E2.6C and a type A.2.6W. Super happy with them. No issue at all. If Ola releases a V with a blue burst flame maple top, I'll have no choice to sell a guitar from my collection so I can buy one.
My first A 2.6 FR had an issue with the Floyd Rose, it collided with the back cover, so I sent it back to thoman, I don't know how a guitar can make it out of the factory like that, besides you buy a Gibson, the second I got this was fixed, but still the frets job is not really good, if you want low action, you have dead notes with standard tuning and 46 strings.. I really expected more... Have to get it to the luthier to level the frets...
How do the pointy metal edges of death of hold up in a gigbag? Is it a tele in the making or can I still pick my teeth with it after a couple of years?
V guitars are nice because how you play them sitting down i always play any kinda guitar held in that classic V hold if that makes any sense but you V owners know what i mean
Doesn't matter if the thing that made me click the like was a clip from last week but it made me headbanging and if I headbanging I like. Thats the rule

I love solar, i own a a2. 6 c myself. I stand behind it and Ola all the way but the QC is suffering. A lotof axes, mine included have cracks in the fretboard from the 12:th fret and down... This makes me sad.. 🥺 #olaenglund
That sucks, this one seems good, I haven’t noticed any cracks at least. Covid has had a massive effect on guitar manufacturing across many companies, I imagine that’s what it could be. Thanks for watching! :)
Hype? No. Good mid range guitar? Absolutely. Has my guitar(artist series) shown fret sprout...sadly yes....Other than that, I like the platform, it's a great design. The pups aren't the best, they have a honk to them that is ultra modern. Other than that, I like mine and have considered getting a 6 string. The fret sprout made me take a step back though.
I had an S1.6hlb. Not the worst guitar I’ve ever played but by no means what I would consider a good guitar. Weakest points were the pickups for sure, followed by the durability of the finish, and the cheap feeling fretboard.
I had a V once. After fighting the droopy headstock for a few months I raped it for parts and burned it. They're just not for me. But this one looks cool and you make it sound amazing.
I'm obviously not Pete, but I'd say: relax your muscles. You want to avoid as much tension on your muscles as possible. Tension is wearing your muscles out, making it harder to play long periods of time and will give you injuries in the long run.Playing hard and aggressively does not mean to convulse your body
These riffs are ch-ugly! :)
instant Swedish riff-saw ;)
Tune it up to e standard tuning and play the entirety of show no mercy slayer album
