That bread came out perfect! Happy New Year!
It is always a great day of baking when a loaf turns out 'peanut butter & jelly' worthy.
Excellent Linda!
Lol I agree :)
I can almost smell that yummy looking bread from here, yum yum
YUMMY....perfect..I bet this bread was YUMMY!!
I am going to try this recipe. My Pullman pan instructions said to use shortening not cooking spray because of build up. Thanks for the vid.
I ordered a pullman and the same cookbook only with the spiral binding. Absolutely thrashed over what I was going to get with a $50 gift card from Amazon that my Mother-in-Law got me. LoL I've been wanting a pullman, so I finally cracked and got one. This looks like a wonderful recipe to try. I'm so glad I *did* buy these two items.
🌾Merry meet 🌿
Awesome update Linda and Blessing in sharing
Looks delicious!!
Heather is a precious gal...my bread teacher...
That bread looks wonderful Linda.
i love how excited you are....i know the feeling of trying something new! now i think i have to go bake some bread! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Linda!
That looks absolutely delicious. I love honey wheat bread. Especially home made. It takes little time in making fresh bread for daily use.. And tastes so much better than store bought. Thank you for sharing such goodness. Love the pullman pan. I am excited for you. :)
Looks amazing. Now I want another gadget for my kitchen lol. I dont like buying store bread because of all the chemicals and preservatives in it, so this would be perfect for making bread as healthy as possible. Thank you for another awesome video. Thumbs up.
You got your pan ! Yay ! Me too !
I love mine!
Oh my gosh! I want one of those books! I was planning on making a type of this bread real soon. A restaurant we have here serves it and it's so good. Your bread looks delicious. I will use your link when I order the book.
You will love it!
I've always wanted a lidded loaf pan.
That bread looks so good. I can almost smell it! lol
I've had a Pullman pan on my wish list! Looks delicious!
At least with making your own bread; At least you know what and how much is in it! As for your pan; Oh my goodness ! I haven't seen them kind of pans in years. I didn't even know that they still made them! WOW! And WOW! On your bread! It looks very good!
Nothing like the aroma of fresh baked bread! That's a beautiful loaf pan. I think a woman should have quality kitchen tools, like a man has quality garage tools. Enjoy! (:
Broke down and ordered the Pullman pans last night. Used your link. I'm going to give the smaller one to a friend as a belated Christmas present. Looking forward to trying to make some sandwich bread.
Looks good! You might try letting your dough rise so that it touches the lid to get that dense texture. I bake for 20 min with lid on and then remove the lid for the last 10 min or so to get good browning. Noreen's perfect sandwich bread recipe fits the pan just right.
i’m putting this one on my list to make for sure! Sounds delicious and I recently started purchasing King Arthur bread flour. Can’t wait to try it. I am Magent it smells wonderful.
Linda - you might want to try the King Arthur 100% White Whole Wheat Flour - it is made from an albino wheat kernel - so it is a white in color flour. Sometime you can find the King Arthur Flours at your grocery. I have even found it at Wal-mart at times.
OMGOSH!! I love it 😍 Your making me want that pan!!! I want that loaf!! LOL 😂 take care Shey
I have the smaller pan, and love it! I want the book, but have to wait. the website has many recipes, and you can call if you need help. this is the first wheat that looks yummy! I make a loaf of white and use half for home made croutons.
Ok Linda, you made me order both the pans and cookbooks. lol :)
I would like to thank you for turning me onto this Pullman Pan. My husband loves homemade bread yet he is so use to store brought that he will eat that 1st. :( so I think you have answered my prayers. lol I did order from you site. I hope it helps. I saw on the homesteading page she had a wood slicer it makes the slices same size as store. looked easy to use. Have you used this before? If so do you like it? Love your videos I always try to share to help your cause... God Bless... Take Care. OH Tupperware has a awesome Bread saver. Works awesome keeps bread life longer. I didn't know if you knew that. If you want when they come back in our flyers I will let you know.. worth every penny... I have keep my ww bread for almost 2 weeks without molding or drying out. If you like I can find out from other consultants if I can get ya one. How do I send you it if I find one. No cost just so you can see how great it works & it would be a huge ty gift for all you teach us & share.. :)
You can remove the lid of your pullman pan the last 10 minutes of baking to get a good golden brown crust. Yummy!
I love my Pullman pan. I can Thank Heather for mine. Watching her use hers and I had to order one. The perfect loaf of bread. Happy New Year!!! Have a good morning!!!
A little olive oil will help with the sticking. We used it in the pizzeria i worked at.
I love the pan the bread is amazing!!
I am now addicted to making bread in this pan!
That looks so yummy! I was wondering if any of your viewers have used this pan for gluten free bread and if they liked it for that type of bread?
Looks great.
Wonder if it could be adapted for a no-knead bread recipe?
Also, I have two cup measures. Can you tell me what the differences are between them. As one seems to be for liquid. Not sure about the other.
Thanks
Hey Linda ..I can almost taste that bread with butter . Yummy 😋..
I have to buy that cookbook.. but I have a question can you make a video on what all you use and make on left over bread and how it store it ..thanks .
Love all your videos and you have some awesome recipes..I have made .
Blessing 😘
I love mine, I find though to make it last longer we don't cut into it into a couple hours AFTER we think it's cool. Just us.
Hi again. Thanks for the "Like". Can you please tell me what temperature you have your oven at, to prove your dough?
Love your measuring spoons and matching cups. Where did you find them?
God Bless, Yvonna
What a wonderful bread pan! Linda, I'm looking for a good Olive Loaf, is there a recipe for that in your new cookbook?
OMG I wish I could afford the pan and cookbook.....not fair!!!! LOL!!!
I have two of these tins, I make two loaves at a time, let it sit to cold then slice and freeze, I never buy bread for a long time 😀❤👍
Jen Goods How long does your bread last after being frozen?? You say you freeze it sliced? Thx Shey
@ +Sheywh12
It looks as though Jen Goods isn't going to respond to your question (it's been 9 months) but I'm guessing that any homemade sliced bread will freeze just as well as any 'supermarket' sliced bread would. Have you tried freezing sliced, homemade bread yet? I'd like to know,as well because I've ordered a smaller Pullman pan (9" rather than 13", like Linda's) so I'll be freezing bread too(lol)!!
Looks very yummy !!!! Never made anything other than whole wheat bread so this looks like a winner !!!! Between you and Heather I am gonna have to try the pullman pan :)
Linda,I want you to try our Maritime Brown bread...here in Nova Scotia this is traditionally eaten with baked beans on Saturday night...Maritime Oatmeal Brown Bread Recipe...Proof your yeast in a small bowl 1/2 c.warm water,1tbsp sugar,1 tbsp yeast...In another bowl add 1 c.rolled oats,1/2 c molasses,1tsp salt,2 tbsp.shortening, cover this with 2 c.boiling water...Mix and when cooled add the yeast mixture...add two cups of flour and mix...then slowly add UP to 5 cups flour in toto...may need more or less...knead and place in a warm spot to rise...punch down and form two loaves or one loaf and a dozen buns...again place in warm spot till risen above the pan...bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 mins....enjoy!
Oh my gosh I was raised in NS and now live in Alberta. I can't tell you how many times I've looked for this recipe and not found it. Mother wasn't a baker but I enjoyed this brown bread and baked beans on many a Saturday night at friends homes. Hope all is well in NS...will always consider it home and thank you for putting this recipe up. Cheers
Carol D'Eon.you are so very welcome...we live in Yarmouth...I make brown bread for my hubby often he loves it with cheese whiz...
Hey Bonnie, well if you live in Yarmouth you're in D'Eon country. All my husbands relatives are down there LOL. We lived and were raised in Dartmouth. So Linda if you read this sorry Bonnie and I are using this thread as a get together for Eastern Maritimers. LOL. Good to hook up with you Bonnie
Can you share your measuring cups and spoon? Going to try this recipe!
They were gifts :)
Those are Ganz aren't they? I got both the measuring spoons and measuring cups from eBay. They're really nice. :)
jacki comber I've seen those spoons on Amazon they are expensive..I love them too... I believe she has the same set Heather has..Hope this helps you Shey
Sheywh12 thank you!
That really does make a nice loaf. I've never made bread before, can you mix it sufficiently without a mixer? I mean I know people were making bread before mixers were available I just mean realistically. I can almost smell it lol. Janice
Here is a tip: If you lightly oil you surface, instead of using the flour your dough will not get tough. Some times with using a flour surface it will add extra flour to the dough then it will make it what bakers call tough. Once you do it once you will love the tip. remember lightly oiled... I just rub my counter top with about 2 tb spoons of Olive oil. :)
What was the kettle that you used for the boiling water?
I love that Kettle here is a link.

I just bought 2 Pullman pans. Is there anything I should do to them before I first use them? Thanks :)
Hi Linda. I just subscribed yesterday. Hello from Australia. What temperature do you have your oven on to prove your dough?
I was right when you asked us if we knew what you were getting...... I was right 👍
I was talking about the Pullmans Pan
