The fact that the 2019 Warzone map is recycled to make up half of the campaign maps is shocking. And the online maps are just MW2 maps from 2009.

Refunded. I don't blame the developers. They were given no time and a change of vision (DLC to Full Game) mid-way through. Publishers and executives are lacking what makes Cod amazing. Over-the-top action, linear missions, crazy cutscenes, and a clear story. Just take a gap year add the multiplayer maps as DLC for $30 and everyone would be happier than this. When you put revenue over quality it will cost you in the long run. I don't understand how companies forget this. Vote with your wallets.

  • @AbernathyCrimson

$70 for DLC is a new low. The one thing I expect COD to get right every year is the campaign. They’ve been consistently good. But it’s more obvious than ever that COD has no competition.

All signs were pointing to this being the case, the fact that this was originally MW 2 DLC, and they wanted to stretch it out given the whole “annual release” but since there wasn’t enough time that’s why they did the gulag and the Warzone maps, putting in content that was already established in warzone to pad out the game because of being rushed for ideas, and then put all that mess together with a few sprinkled linear missions. Boom $70 to $100 please. Seen this coming from a mile away. No thanks, I’ll get this on a deep deep sale if that. If zombies is not good forget it.

      For example:
The infiltration sequence could have been 3x longer with laser traps and tripwire defusing segments.
They could have made it more difficult to unlock Makarov's cell.
Then they could have had a whole boat chase sequence where you're being chased by the chopper gunner while having to shoot it down from the patrol boat turret...

i think they should have included both play styles for the campaign mode. maybe during the first run it would be the traditional on rails approach, and then through the second play through you can have the choice of open play style.

I liked the campaign. Took me 6 hours to complete which is about the right amount of time any COD story mode has. Some of the starting missions were really good as well even if they were open combat styled. My big issue with the story is the ending. It felt so rushed and didn’t conclude anything which is kinda disappointing. They could have put an other missions in to conclude things slowly and not in this hectic way. I’d give it a 6/10. It’s not as good as MW2 but it is not as bad as people are making it out to be. Also I’m more excited for the multiplayer

That's why the Modern Warfare Trilogy the OG from 2007, 2009 and 2011 will always be BEST and never outclassed. I think is time to the COD franchise into a sleep mode for sometime until they resurrect into something that the OG COD had.
