Footwork, jab, defense, combos, head movement.
Usyk is a great example of a technical heavyweight fighter.
This fight amazed me. How can you be a top pro fighter and NOT move your head?
Does anyone else WINCE when Zhang lands a hard one? Call me crazy or biased, but I feel like when Zhang connects, you HEAR it. The IMPACT of his punches seems to really stand out over other boxers.
But again, tell me if I'm wrong. I feel like Zhang's fists are small jackhammers.

Can't imagine many ppl outside if Wilder hit harder than Zhang. The dude is massive and his hands are explosive. Testament to Joyce's freakish chin/durability that he lasted as long as he did
Zhang was a little quicker, and better legs. He had the timing down on Slow Joe right away and the rest is history. He could see Joe's punches a mile away.

Zhang just has superior disciplined defense. He very efficient and decisive with his jabs and compact power shots. I suspect the top heavyweights will dodge him for the foreseeable future.
I think anyone in the top 5 would outbox him.

i agree he is a excellent boxer, the only unfortunate aspect is that he is up there in age. his biggest problem is fatigue for sure, but def overlooked heavyweight

After this fight : there are no chances for Joyce against Fury. It will be pretty much the same.
Very likely Fury beats Joyce, but never say no chance... Anything can happen in HW. Joyce didn't get put down and if he didn't have the injury it could have been different, we don't know how well Zhang's stamina would have held up.

There does seem to be a pattern of him not being able to agree fights with others now, but could be he's just being too greedy or lazy... He's got enough money for 10 lifetimes now, he enjoys the good life so maybe he's just not motivated anymore.

Joe Joyce is a real man. Even he got badly hurt, he didn't fleet away, keeping fighting from the beginning tothe ending. He earn the respects from fans and his opponents. That is the spirit of sportmanship.
I'm SURPRISED ZHANG WON THE FIGHT. LAST Time JUDGES gave JOE JOYCE the "W". Even ZHANG put on a CLINIC. Essentially "u won but we officially say U lose ZHANG."
Zhang's got the "focus" or Snap in his attacks found in other martial arts. Hard to beat that combination.

@@Silentpeakgaming Joe didn't make any excuses. Zhang was better on the night. I think Joe will do better in the rematch, he was moving away from the left quite well at some points, just needs to do that more and go to the body more.

Big Joe took alot of punishment in this bout . He had alot of heart but sadly not much else . His punches were slow , lacked any venom and he was too easy to hit !

You've got one guy who's accurate and hits hard as hell vs a volume puncher with great engine and durability.
Both Joyce and Tony met opponents for the 1st time that hit with so much snap that they got handcuffed and couldn't punch with them, it became turnabout and they became static targets.

It will definitely take a lot to stop Zhang, I think maybe only Wilder could potentially genuinely KO him, but I can see Zhang gassing and getting stopped through accumulation of punches, especially body shots. Joshua wouldn't get caught nearly as much as Joyce and if he boxed well could drag Zhang to later rounds and exhaust him.
Jo did not land any serious punch on zhang face.

Good decision by the referee. He couldn't see anything with his right eye and was hit from the right side repeatedly. The stoppage spared him from further suffering.

A close fight is not a robbery you could argue either way but Hrgovic did land more shots zhang landed the more eye catching shots but overall Hrgovic landed more.
Out of the last 6 rounds Zhang could only have been awarded one - the 9th - a round that he was losing convincingly, until the last 30 secs. He did score a knockdown, at the end of the 1st, but had done nothing until that, so I would have given that round 10:9 to Zhang. Great fight though and its a mystery why there's been so little coverage of his fights.

Joyce's only shot in the second bout is to get Zhang tired without getting hurt. Once he's tired he's easy to hit. However, I don't think Joyce can do that witout getting to hurt.

Joe Joyce is much 5:32 and integrity than Tyson Furry and Anthony Joshua. He knew big bang is dangerous and still accepted fighting with him. On the other hand, Furry and Joyce are two big talkers, only chose fighting with weaker opponents and avoid fighting with big bang.
Zhang's taller, faster, heavier and more disciplined.
I can't see him loosing the rematch if he comes prepared.
