    Thanks, Dr Grace. I wish I found you earlier than this. I am learning a lot from your channel. I like the way you talk to us without patronising us. You are a very good teacher. I am a multilingual researcher but I need someone like you to teach me how to have confidence.

    Dr. Lee! I hope I can one day talk like you! May you create videos on how to improve our listening skills when someone else is talking etc at work? I’ve been having trouble when someone talks to me. It goes to one ear to the other.... it’s hard for me to remember and grasp on what they are telling me especially things I don’t understand. I believe I have selective hearing. Thank you!

    Great stuff! I am also using subliminal messages to help with communication. I'm so tired of being misunderstood along with being tired of being accused of misunderstanding or not listening when I practice active listening. Doing everything I can to have better communication!

    Hi there ive set some goals to try and improve the quality of life for lots of people. Im seen as brash and abrasive and maybe even rude. When i tend towards honesty directness and rather blunt forms of communications. Because those ways break through people’s illusions and delusions and helps bring realizations within themselves which is useful for longterm individual growth it doesnt make me very popular though

    Thanks for sharing. Your videos are very useful in a way that they inspire me to become an effective communicator in English and learn stuff about communication. However, I feel very confused when you said that one of the biggest things for you to sound so fluid and compelling with English is to read dictionary. I mean, dictionary is an indispensable tool for any language learner but it does not give us rich context to memorise the words or embed the words in our mind. Therefore, if you use dictictionary to expand your vocab, chances are that it is not an effective way to study new words, and even if you managed to memorise a word, it is probably quite hard to retrieve it in your speaking and writing. Put in in another way, that word remains a passive word only.
    I think your English is so maverlous because you dedicated a long time in accademia, studying neuroscience

    • @DrGraceLee
      @DrGraceLee  3 года назад

      I appreciate your comment and I'm happy to clarify. In my video I shared my story of how I read the dictionary, but I'm not recommending this! I was only recommending expanding vocabulary particularly on expressive words that convey emotion. Reading is a great way to expand your vocabulary, but definitely not necessary to read the dictionary. I was just sharing a funny story of what I did to expand my vocabulary.
