Singing in the Philippines is a common past time esp while drinking alcohol in the bar, corner store, birthday parties, and the like. There is a lot of underrated singers in the Philippines.
kids at a young age encouraged to entertain guests, or during family gatherings or no occasion at all. like it's a daily activity- singing with the karaoke.

Wow...so loved this viral TikTok vids! These singers are super talented; their unique artistry just lead to delightful music. Such a joy to listen to some of these amateur singers whose voices ate awesome.
I can't stop laughing because it is true that we love singing, and everyone does karaoke almost every day to the point that it gets annoying cause you want to sleep at night and someone is still singing their hearts out somewhere in the neighborhood hahaha. Oftentimes, there'll be people singing karaoke in every household hahahahaha
i literally woke up today with 2 kids singing their lungs out in the karaoke... idk if i should be mad for them being loud early in the morning or be amazed because they actually know how to sing 😭😭

I dunno if someone mentioned this already but the Philippines is very religious and many of us go to our churches at young age and we sing in chorus during masses or services so I think that's also a factor why we are so into music ....

Aj Rafael is actually a singer and I absolutely love his songs! Sometimes, I play my playlist on our speakers when I'm in the mood (also because my mom tells me not to keep the music to myself lol) so my family is really familiar with my music, especially those on my replay mix.

And then there’s Angelica Hale (America’s Got Talent) from Atlanta in the East… many more I can’t recall. You’re also likely to find Filipino (or those with Filipino ancestry) winners of singing contests held in Australia, Israel (?) and other countries.
