Must be a big city thing. Space is a valuable commodity. I've only ever lived in 2 apartments and they were very spacious. If course in from the countryside in the USA. Plenty of space everywhere. I have seen little ones in Baltimore, Maryland. So again, city thing. I couldn't do it. I lived in hotels for years working abroad and hated it. I live in Seoul. There are many options of course here. I think you have never lived in like center of London or NYC or Dokyo. But Big cities's like New York City, London, Dokyo, Seoul, flats are expensive. That's why young people usually would live in small flats. I heard that in London people even commonly share flats with strangers in NYC as well. People in korea don't share flats with strangers but instead, they live in there exclusive flats so those are supposed to be small which for usually young people. But as i said earlier, there are many options, if you have money you can live in big flat. I'm saying again. That's because Big cities's flats are expensive. That's it.
Now i would like to ask you. How do not you know this common thing even though you have London in your country as you said you're from UK ? Or you didn't think Seoul is not that metropolis? But it's just the same situation as WESTERN WORLD i mean metropolis or megacity.
