You've got to have such a high respect for Rekkles. The guy not only benched himself to humble himself, but to make sure he's improving his gameplay based on the meta. That to me, sounds like Goku going into the hyperbolic time chamber.

draven is god tier adc... the adcs rekkles plays werent in a good spot (hypercarries)
i know but he said that he was playing trist and so on but when Caps and Soaz came back from korea they started playing gold funel
Alright, let me explain.
Draven is an extremely powerful early game adc. Since Rekkles picked Janna with Rakan bot lane, Draven is an easy option to completely destroy both of them as they are extremely squishy. You may have noticed that Janna and Rakan have a lot of CC, which is why its a Morgana support. Essentially if you can’t at least get 2 kills against this matchup as Draven, you shouldn’t be playing ADC, since no matter how hard ADC gets nerfed, that was an extremely free lane. After Draven gets ahead in bot lane, he can rotate to mid and fuck the Kaisa up, pretty much snowballing their way. Of course if Kaisa can scale to late game they can win the game, but Draven simply destroyed the enemy comp before the champion started to fall off and Kaisa starts to outscale.
This is all based on my assumptions. I am a D4 player and i have NOT seen the draft. So i am assuming the Draven was a counterpick.

Well, Rekkles was only "forced to play supportive champions like Janna, Karma" due one fact.
Ornn got banned. Rekkles was the only FNC player playing Ornn during scrims so he didnt pratice Janna or Karma, like he said it was his 1st time playing Karma.
He wasn't even "forced" at all, Hans Sama is on Draven on the opposing team, ADCs were still viable, it was Rekkles pretty limited pool that was not.
@@lorenzomariani7386 ADCs werent viable, Draven specifically was. Crit items were the things that got hit with a lot of nerfs, but a champion like draven who rushed Bloodthirster or someone like miss fortune who could build lethality were perfectly fine

fck yall saying caps solo carry. broxah and hylissang had to feed him 70% of the times he got fed. and if he didnt get fed he just inted untill someone else stepped up to carry. not saying he is a bad player, and he is clearly one of if not the best midlaner in EU. but this was probably also one of the best team eu has ever seen. yall forget rekkles also shotcalls in the games, hyli roams, broxah takes over jungle even without mid prio sometimes and bwipo does bwipo stuff. to bad caps left without any reason other than "i wanna play more aggresive" and then fcking joins g2. imagine wasting perkz talent on a role swap. but it seems like it's working, can't wait til MSI. cuz thats when you see who really will take it all. this meta just favors winning 1v1 over actual teamplay

The best Fnc player is hylissang, he's an amazing support, but noone see it.
I do... As a support main I know exactly what you mean.
You can go 4-1-43 and your adc 8-5-13 and he will still get the credit.
Hylissang is imo the best support in the world, when he's on top of his game.
Unfortunaly being on top means he has to take risks meaning when he fucks up, its really bad.
But as a whole he is absolutely a top tier international player.

There were not many playable ADCs at the time. Xayah - Rakan was a little viable, Draven was Hans Sama's one trick pony, and other than that ADCs were far worse than mages.

ADC's nerfed to the ground played against Hans Sama's Draven. Adc main so I know how it felt but the comment was kinda false crit adcs were nerfed into the ground Kaisa, Draven, Kog, Lucian or even MF were picks that were feasible
Yea i agree. Adc's do have dmg, but they are too squishy. A fed bruiser deletes a fed adc in no time. When the meta changed i did play varus (on hit build) and it kinda worked, but when i made a transition towards haimer swain and ahri, yes ahri bot i started winning a lot more games and i just felt like i have a bigger impact in the midgame then i do on marksmans.
Guschti Fake if played properly adcs can have very strong laning phases, due to their long range they can outpoke their opponents. A lot of adcs have outplay potential (Vayne, Kaisa, Lucian) coupled with a bit of lifesteal and a good support, they can survive against most bruisers. The reason why assasins are so popular are because they are the only sure way of shutting down adcs, sure a Fiora/Jax can try but honestly with a bit of peel and positioning you should be fine. Most teamfights are defined when the carries die, the longer you survive the better chance you have to win a fight. When Rekkles was benched the only few adcs available would be defined in draft, there were many more mages/bruisers that could work out in bot, due to their higher stats. The main reason was that those changes in picks changed the way fights were played, which is where Rekkles shines the most I think thats why he benched himself.
